Today is the Republican presidential primary in Florida. It's also the last day of January. A lot of us in the conservative movement can't quite believe either. We can't believe that we're already at the Florida primary. And we can't believe that at this late date, these are still the candidates with whom we're going to have to ride into battle against Barack Obama. Or one of them, anyway. Some conservatives still pine for a late entry by a Mitch Daneils, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan or Sarah Palin. It's not gonna happen.
So here we are, staring down February, with the dawning realization that this is it, and we'd better refocus on who can win in November and with what message.
Florida voters are still sizing up the candidates, even as they head to the polls today. We've had an unprecedented result in the first 3 primaries: a different winner in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. It's true that the voters are different in each state, as each state's concerns and issues vary. But it's highly unusual to have 3 states vote so differently in the space of about 3 weeks. Part of it is a direct function of the fact that we can't believe this is our field. We're trying to mix it up to give ourselves the impression that we've got more of a choice than we do.
The remaining four candidates all have big strengths and some real weaknesses. We'll see what the voters in Florida do today. If Mitt Romney wins, it could cement a momentum and lead that will be very difficult for anybody else to surmount. If Newt Gingrich wins, everything is back up in the air and things will get even more nasty because the race will be back on. If Rick Santorum wins, he will have pulled off the biggest upset yet. And if Ron Paul wins, well, then the whole thing heads into mayhem. Or I should say more mayhem than usual.
Whatever happens, today's primary marks the end of the beginning, a bookend for the first round of contests. We then go into February, which is marked by a few caucuses in Nevada and Maine and elsewhere but is without a major primary or debate (the next one, mercifully, isn't until Feb. 22). This will give time for Mitt to consolidate if he wins today. If Newt wins, expect all hell to break loose as the GOP and DC establishments will go bananas and try to recruit someone else into the race. Again, that's not gonna happen.
This is the field. We'll get the results tonight and have about a month to take a breather. Us voters need to regroup and re-evaluate our choices too, you know.
And we must do all of this while keeping our eyes on the Big Prize: defeating Barack Obama. Let's not lose sight of the fact that HE is the person in this race with the most baggage and the most destructive policies.
Not Mitt. Not Newt. Not Rick or Ron.
Barack.
And also on that link:
"Kevin Concannon, the USDA’s undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer services, told the Wall Street Journal: “I realize Mr. Gingrich is a historian, but I’m not sure he’d get very high marks on that paper."
no wonder Conservatives have on average LOWER IQs!

Romney is the TEA Party candidate whilst Newton LEROY Gingrich uses the SAME rhetoric of the Occupy Wall Street mob. Here is an excerpt of Romney's book. The theme contained therein is that of the core message of the TP. It should dispel anyone's misguilded notion that Romney is "liberal".
--
Romney wrote: "Like most Americans, I recognize the need for government spending, but I cannot fathom the argument that it’s fine to spend more than we earn year after year. Passing on ever-increasing debt to our children is not just bad policy, it is morally wrong.
There are people in both parties who see the budget as something of a game of chicken. Some Democrats are eager to spend so much that Republicans have to raise taxes, and some Republicans, on the other hand, are intent on lowering taxes so much that Democrats have to cut spending. Both sides take great satisfaction in their respective battle plans: the Democrats for spending more and the Republicans for taxing less. My vote is for the Republicans, but in either case, deficits cannot be accepted as part of political tactics; there is simply too much at stake.
Our big government debt problem is not a Democrat problem—it is a Democrat and Republican problem. When President Bush and Republicans were in charge, they grew government, grew spending, and grew debt just like the Democrats. Neither party has been willing to say no to the people who want more and more from government. Saying yes wins votes. Saying no means concession speeches. But what America faces today calls for truth, and having just experienced a brush with economic collapse, the American people are ready for truth. They know that if we go on borrowing, we will do to the country what was done to Lehman and AIG and General Motors and to millions of homeowners. Except in the country’s case, there is no one that could bail us out.
If we wisely begin to reform entitlements and commit to live within our means, we will accomplish for our children what our parents did for us: Bestow upon them an America that is stronger and more prosperous even than what we have known."

What does "Racism and Sexism" Really Mean?
"At the SAG Awards, Hollywood's most masturbatory event, the cast of The Help won for best ensemble. The Help, based on a book of the same name, tells the story of some racist white people in 1960's Mississippi. Blah blah, Oprah liked it, who cares. From what I gather, the book details how racist white people and magic, sagacious Negro maids came to understand each other, but mostly just one way in that regard. You see why it was such a big hit with Oprah nation?"

It's really interesting to look back at old Saturday Evening Post magazines from the 1930s. Society ladies who supplied charity, and bless them for that, to the unemployed were greatly offended that men were marching in the streets asking for work. They thought they should be satisfied with charity.
More interesting is Newt's suggestion those on food stamps should demand jobs. He actually has a solid argument there since the Declaration states government is to secure liberty and there is no liberty without an opportunity to earn a living. However, there is the question of whether they should demand jobs from political government or corporate governments and how to make the demands effective. All the candidates say they will cut government jobs even more. Corporate governments will refuse because they are established without any requirement of redeeming social value, only to make a profit. As Herman Cain pointed out people stop reading the Declaration too soon. It further points out the right of the people to alter or abolish governments that are destructive to the ends of natural rights. If food stamp people get serious about demanding jobs, they may have to join the Tea Party people and bring their guns this time.

Abstract
Despite their important implications for interpersonal behaviors and relations, cognitive abilities have been largely ignored as explanations of prejudice. We proposed and tested mediation models in which lower cognitive ability predicts greater prejudice, an effect mediated through the endorsement of right-wing ideologies (social conservatism, right-wing authoritarianism) and low levels of contact with out-groups. In an analysis of two large-scale, nationally representative United Kingdom data sets (N = 15,874), we found that lower general intelligence (g) in childhood predicts greater racism in adulthood, and this effect was largely mediated via conservative ideology. A secondary analysis of a U.S. data set confirmed a predictive effect of poor abstract-reasoning skills on antihomosexual prejudice, a relation partially mediated by both authoritarianism and low levels of intergroup contact. All analyses controlled for education and socioeconomic status. Our results suggest that cognitive abilities play a critical, albeit underappreciated, role in prejudice. Consequently, we recommend a heightened focus on cognitive ability in research on prejudice and a better integration of cognitive ability into prejudice models.

Well they've got it half right. Low mean intelligence explains why blacks, and to a lesser extent Mestizos, are much more racist than whites. But they completely miss the mark about low intelligence is a causal effect that produces right wing ideologies. If that were the case, then blacks and Mestizos would overwhelmingly vote for conservative Republicans. Of course the opposite is the case. Hence, that thesis proves to be yet another in a long long list of liberal frauds. (Yes,I know using liberal and fraud in the same sentence is redundant.)

Because of their vast wealth, and the vast idiocy of great swaths of the lower echelons of their party, conservaBorg has been able to create truth out of lies since Rove took over and because of NTR (NaziTalkRadio) have been able to hoodwink great numbers of independents into believing the conservaBorg Lie and kneejerk react to any sane opposition as "communism".
