OK, so we should not report Leslie Bell for death threats on our Princess? Or should he report someone for death threats on him? Does the shadow know?

"Monsanto gets to sell its GM corn," - Truther

Well that certainly will take care of the problem of the Iowa caucuses for the foreseeable future, won't it?

When these millionaire "raise my taxes" liberals start writing those checks themselves, then I will give them a little credibility. If they believe so much that they should pay more, then why don't they?

Shadow my as*s.

You can if you want to have law enforcement laugh at you like you're an idiot.

Or, if they're in a bad mood that day, arrest you for making a false report.

By all means, feel free!!

As far as the death threats made on me by Don Davino? I already brushed it off on too much vino.

Chief Joe

There is the consideration of branding- in saying that the Occupy99 receive funds from insider trading, giving everyone the idea that insider trading is pervasive.

Well, so then everyone will do it, right? Or else leave the market. So they lose their suckers.

Yo cannot change something without calling it what it is, unless you just want to perpetuate it. Is there much doubt, that there exists broad insider trading, in Washington, and NY? And everyone in gov, working at FDA passes info on to people who can invest without fear of insider accusations? Look at Martha Stewart - she is a perfect example of someone with ties to FDA. How many like her are there? Links to banks, bankers themselves, politicians? Synagogues. Thousands, and in totality, possibly millions. People with 401K's are suckers, as are all other outsider investors.

It is even in the lingo- did you get in on - .... did someone give you a heads up? Well, did they?

xbjllb

I piss on the death threats made against me.

Against Princess, by her supposed fans? That's another story. But one dealt with perfectly well by her peeps (God bless 'em) without any need of any kind of help from me whatsoever.

xbjllb

You guys just keep forgetting. Unlike you, who work in the dark of the cracks and the crevices, I need all the exposure and light I can get.

In EVERY sense of the word.

Despite a historic sweep of the first two nominating contests in the GOP field, Mitt Romney holds just a two percentage-point lead in South Carolina, his smallest lead of 2012.

Romney is the favorite of 23 percent of South Carolina voters, narrowly edging Newt Gingrich's 21 percent, according to the latest poll from Insider Advantage. Rick Santorum pulls 14 percent of Palmetto State voters, while Ron Paul rounds out the top four with 13 percent. Jon Huntsman's 7 percent and Rick Perry's 5 percent trail the pack.

n the three other major South Carolina polls completed in the new year, Romney was earning 37 percent, 27 percent and 30 percent, according to Real Clear Politics — meaning his 23 percent in the latest poll marks a precipitous decline.

Gingrich, meanwhile, has maintained a steady band

The poll could also signal the beginning of the end of the Santorum boomlet, who has fallen 10 percentage points from a Rasmussen poll released just after his near-win in the Iowa caucuses. That too could help Gingrich, who hopes conservatives in South Carolina will rally around his campaign as an alternative to Romney.

Also notable is that Perry seems to have gained little momentum in South Carolina, a state considered to be demographically favorable to his campaign. The Texas governor remains stuck at around just 5 percent of Palmetto State voters despite moving his campaign's focus to the state.

I have just watched When Mitt Romney Came to Town and it is, in a word, devastating.

The 28-minute film from Newt Gingrich’s Super PAC, a series of interviews with ordinary folk whose lives were never the same after Romney’s Bain Capital bought and took down local companies, is a double condemnation — both of his private equity work and the business model he used to get filthy rich.

The interviews are with families from four businesses that Bain looted:

Examples of their comments:

“I had to leave my home because of a man who has 15 homes.”

“They never could get enough. No matter how much they had they always wanted more.”

“We used to be a town full of industry . . . and overnight that changed.”

“They had no intention of keeping us.”

“When you’re there all those years . . . we always went on the same and then we have this company come in and destroy everything we worked for.”

“I cried a lot.”

“The hardest day for me is when he done loaded the U-Haul because we had lost our home. That was hard, very hard.”

“They wanted the machinery. They didn’t want us.”

“Christmastime used to be the biggest thing we had and you only got maybe two gifts for your kids, that hurt.”

“There’s times when you skip a meal so your kids can have something to eat.”

“He is the man who destroyed us.”

The interviews are interspersed with sound bites of Romney at his most imperious.

==================================================

Did Romney's brutal negative ad blitz in Iowa affect Newt Gingrich in any way? Could it be?

gringoman

DAILY KOS////Romney has very much brought When Mitt Romney Came to Town on himself. After watching the video a second time it gave me new insight into why he remains so unpopular among so many Republicans and has not, in business parlance, been able to close the deal after a year of non-stop campaigning.

This, it seems, has less to do with his politics (whatever they are on a particular day) than the reality that he is a resume without a man.

Bottom line: Mitt Romney is an empty suit, not a winner.

“What the hell are you doing, Newt?” Giuliani asked. "What you’re saying is part of the reason we’re in so much trouble right now."

POLITICO//////But allies of Gingrich, Santorum and Huntsman dismiss the concerns about a long and damaging primary as self-serving efforts to align big donors behind Romney. And they point to the protracted and bitter 2008 Democratic presidential primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to prove that such battles can actually help the party.

The idea that a competitive primary should be avoided “goes back forever and it’s a specious argument that has no basis in fact,” said Rick Tyler, a former Gingrich aide who’s now running the Adelson-backed pro-Gingrich super PAC, which is called Winning Our Future

POLITICO/////“I’m a guy who practices loyalty,” said Adelson, a 78-year-old worth upward of $20 billion, who’s been friendly with Gingrich since the mid-1990s, when the former Georgia congressman was speaker of the House. They’ve bonded over a shared enmity for labor unions and support for Israel, and Adelson was the biggest donor — giving $7.7 million — to Gingrich’s main political vehicle over the past few years, the now-defunct fundraising juggernaut American Solutions for Winning the Future.

“I wouldn’t step away from Gingrich because I think another candidate is the best. I think that Gingrich is the best candidate and he’ll make the best president,” Adelson said in a telephone interview. “That doesn’t mean that the other guys would make lousy presidents, OK? But on a scale of one to 10, I got to make a priority of who I think will make the best president.” If Gingrich doesn’t win the nomination, Adelson said, “I would certainly support the Republican candidate. The idea is to avoid another four years of Obama, because this won’t be the same country.”

When you have a circumstance where they [Romney's Bain Capital] made a lot of money and the company went broke, it's legitimate to ask the question—and this is the whole Wall Street problem—how come the big boys made a lot of money and they went broke? That's not an attack on capitalism. That's not an issue about the whole capitalist system. That is a question about a very particular style of activity involving a very particular person. Remember, we're not talking about the system. We're talking about somebody who is running for President of the United States, and we're asking the question about his judgment, his values, the choices he made. GINGRICH

Romney's the guy, and he only wins against Obama/Biden. By a couple of thousand disenfranchised votes.

The sooner you get this, the farther along you'll be in the process.

And if I were y'all, I wouldn't make any "magic" "mandate" plans for 2014 either.

NOT happening.

If I were y'all, I'd figure out how to jettison the crazies, and I mean ALL OF THEM, and moderate the party into what the Ron Paul and Meghan McCain rightie millennials could be proud of.

Or just fade into irrelevance and die. Your call.

Otherwise? Hold the wake now.

The best thing about Romney as far as the left is concerned?

Since he did not come about his "personality 180" and "position 180" as a result of a stroke, as did John McCain, IT WON'T LAST.

However, that corporate raider robber baron thing he'll own forever.

But disenfranchise enough good people with voter ID, and it might even out.

--------

Gringoman,

I think Michele Bachmann had these two guys sized up correctly. That is, they are both "moderate", big government, progressive, establishment Republicans.

Michele said words to the effect: "We don't have to settle for a "moderate" this time around; we can choose to elect a true conservative, and she was that true conservative" ... but, alas, the people choose to reject her.

If the people actually wanted change, this wouldn't be a contest between Newt and Romney. It would be a contest between Bachmann, Cain, Perry and Paul.

To put it another way, despite what the polls tell us, the American people are overwhelmingly liberal/left leaning. Hence, America is going to continue to choose liberals and leftists as their elected leaders; thus, America is going to continue apace in its decline.

DJ

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years."

"Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage." --Tytler(?)
