Herman Cain is a Koch puppet that is unhinged from reality in terms of getting us out of this financial hole and doing something about income inequality.

Which Presidential Candidate Would You Most Like To Have A Beer With? The Beer Goggles Edition.

Does Herman Cain (private sector businessman) drink Beer? I don't know but he is smokin.

Does Representative Michelle Bachmann drink Beer? Michelle once attacked her Democrat challenger, stating she would raise taxes on bacon, and beer. Shame on you Tarryl Clark. She probably voted for mandating cervical cancer vaccines for young girls too/ That’s correct Michelle Bachmann is against taxing your bacon.

Hi Shortrifle!

From what I've learned about Cain (and what we are continuing to learn), he's a clown. His 15 minutes will be up soon. And I for wish that the Kardashians' 15 minutes were up a long time ago. They're representative of what's wrong with this country and the coverage of them is simply poision to the mind in order to distract us from the real issues. Like the destruction of the Middle Class by the GOP, which Cain seems to take pride on.

While the Liberal Racists fall over each other, grabbing for the rope to lynch Herman Cain, the popular black guy who laughs at their Plantation.....

from POLITICO Comment////And CBS has reported that his contributions DOUBLED yesterday! So regular people know the truth when they see it - and they also smell a rat. I think his name is Karl - working for Mitt - Rove. But it could be the Perry camp.

And a left-leaning Grio reporter named Goldie Taylor said on Ed's show last night that she has known Herman Cain in Atlanta for years and that there has NEVER been even a HINT of any sexual harassment, skirt chasing, infidelity, etc. type behavior surrounding Mr. Cain - and she said that women do compare notes on prominent men. Nothing. She doesn't support his political views - but she emphatically said that Cain has never had the reputation of someone capable of these allegations.

I think Cain will survive this - with the lesson learned that what doesn't kill you strengthens you.

gringoNOTE: As for who the "rat" is: Libs, naturally, are speculating Perry, despite fact that "nice guy" Romneycare is believed to have the priciest and most brutal Oppo Team in the slime business. Yes, with Cain out if it, Perry would have a better shot at Romney. But Romney, with Cain gone, his only competitor right now, according to the polls, could be seen as having the nomination sewn up, Perry too clobbered and weakened by lousy debate performances to stop Captain Flip Flop.

Conclusion: Who is more likely to be the "rat" who done it to Herman Cain, tossing his carcass to the Liberal Racist piranha? Perry or Romney's pit bull Oppo?

gringoman

Whether or not Romney's pit bull Oppo did a job on rival Herman Cain, Libworld and the Obamunists like Romney. Here's a reason why.....

ROGER STONE//////If Romney is nominated, any increased acceptability to moderates would be more than offset with a lack of enthusiasm and absent votes from the Tea Parties and the Conservative right. The energy in the electorate is always in the extremes. Moderates like cocktail parties and conservatives like caucuses.

gringoNOTE: Stone points out that Romney has even supported gay marriage. However, there is no record of Romney knowing anything about (1) Mussolini's socialism (2) Gaiety of Germany and Nazi and (3) the use of the swastika in Communist Russia (for the ignorant, the swastika was a major symbol of Hitler's Germany.)i.e. Progressives also like Romney for his ignorance about 20th century historical facts which "offend" the progs and are deemed politically incorrect and therefore banned from Teacher Union schools.

gringoman

Michele, Mitt's Belle?

ROGER STONE/////Michele Bachmann is now quietly colluding with Mitt Romney to ensure a Rick Perry win in Iowa is impossible. Romney is smart enough to know it will be easier to overpower a broke Bachmann instead of a well-funded Rick Perry coming out of Iowa with momentum from an upset win.

gringoman

ROGER STONE/////Bachmann's strategy of attacking Rick Perry instead of assaulting Mitt Romney has to be the most bone-headed piece of strategic thinking I have ever encountered. The way to win the hearts of Conservatives is to demonstrate you are the strongest candidate to take on the national Republican establishment candidate Mitt Romney. By attacking Perry, Bachmann ended any possibility that she could later coalesce Perry's conservative supporters who she would need to be a serious threat to Romney.

gringoman

ROGER STONE//////As for New York Billionaire Donald Trump, a Tea Party friend in Florida recently mailed me a bumper sticker that said " Muslim, Mormon, Trump" The Tea Party constituency coalescing around Herman Cain will be susceptible to a third party candidate if Romney is the nominee. Trump's ability to self finance is indisputable. Meanwhile, all the Republican candidates beat a path to his door. Only Jon Huntsman denounces the other candidates for meeting with Trump, yet never acknowledges that his office called Trump four times to request such a meeting.

Bella, and I were discussing the Beer Test in the thread to that post. Obama takes it seriously, he has since those photos of Hillary Clinton doing shots, and drinking beers saturated the media in the 2008 democrat primary.

He knows where he's weak, and he's trying to compensate. It's odd that the republicans haven't picked up on Mr Arugula trying to re-market himself to Joe Six Pack.

I seem to remember that George W Bush, won the Beer test against Al Gore and John Kerry.

I don't see Mitt Romney, who doesn't drink beer winning this populist Beer drinker crown. The establishment republicans are still waging the last war the 2008 campaign. This is their analysis. John McCain lost to Obama they should have run Romney against Obama so they will do it now in 2012.....uh huh Romney lost to McCain( and his wife was a beer heiress) in 2008.

The country doesn't sit still, things have changed since 2008. People want a conservative candidate. Meanwhile the republicans are trying to do over the 2008 election.

We really do need two political parties that are in touch with people who live in the 21st century - not the golden age of big government.

I like Berry Weiss depending on the season. I drink Coors Light, and Corona.

Gringoman,

That sounds about right. That theory that Bachmann is colluding with Romney was raised by Peter Brimilow a few weeks back. I think Bachmann believes Romney's nomination is a foregone conclusion; thus, it is supposed, she's angling for the VP spot.

I posted the following here at the Memo a few weeks ago:

--

Immigration Issue Victim of Romney-Bachmann Collusion?

By Peter Brimelow on October 11, 2011

"So Mayor Bloomberg got his wish and imigration didn't come up in tonight's GOP candidates' debate. Chris Chmielenski, whose liveblog at NumbersUSA we collegially linked to, appeared to fall asleep at 8:38, entirely understandably.

I think the key moment was when Mitt Romney asked Michele Bachmann an astonishingly softball question about her jobs plan. Even though he actually mentioned unemployed college graduates, whose plight would be worsened by his proposal to increase skilled immigration, and even though her jobs plan announced today actually cites the labor market impact of (illegal) immigration—both discussed here—she simply answered in conventional Chamber of Commerce terms. (We'll link to the transcript tomorrow if we can be bothered to find one).

Bachmann has shown that, whatever else she might be, she is a dangerous debater. For Romney to take this risk, and for her to pass up this opportunity, makes me think that her former campaign manager Ed Rollins was right when he reportedly told associates that her real objective is the vice-presidency. Indeed, it looks like negotiations are already underway. I hope it's worth it."

DJ

I doubt very much Romney will pick Bachmann as his VP. If Mitt wins the nomination, I think he'll pick someone like John Kasich or Mitch Daniels.

Solving the Population Problem with Expanding markets?

There is a school of thought, promoted by people like Carl Sagan , and echoed by others like J Stiglitz and the Left, that our way of life, being materially rich, supports fewer people and therefore conversion of substandard economies to those like our own, will solve population problems. They are looking at places like China and also examining birth rates, hoping they will decrease.

The reason for concern about population is a calamitous environmental collapse. As we pass 7B people there again is a crash of the gong… population crisis looming. The problem with compliance on population measures such as birth control (the actual reason for population control in the West), is that highly populated countries think there are not too many people, and therefore it is racist to pick on them to take measures. This has led to the promotion of homosexuality in the US, to convince China its one child policy is important for PC (population control). This is a nice gesture- to make Chinese men happy in this lifestyle, but then again they also promote children in these relationships which totally mitigates against support of PC. The social result is stupid - and the US now has a bumper crop of GLs which is harming our population, not supporting the decrease in China.

Is what is being done wrong headed for the environment? With breakneck capital expansion have we improved environmental forecasts? I would like to point out that the Dustbowl of 1938 was not caused by global population rises, but rather by a few dumb farmers. Look at Mesopotamia today, and see all the dumb farming and herding from the getgo. Look at Australia for understanding the impact of globalism on the environment. There, over-irrigation brought on by a desire to increase crop yields in order to feed starving Asians, led to drought conditions when their river ran dry. Crop failed. Farmers committed suicide. This is environmental collapse- the very thing globalism in some people's minds, had been to address.

The oceans are another case in point. Before the Atlantic Ocean was overfished by Western groups, leading to losses of fish like mackerel. Fish intensive cultures joined in, like Japan. With industrialization of the East, now we can add China and possibly India to ocean foraging and factory fish farming. If we were worried about the destruction of fish stocks before, now they are doubly or triply pressed. The result of western ways for the eastern countries has resulted in rather severe environmental pressures, rather than lessening them. With those large populations to feed, and a new aggression in economic activity, the environment is being pressed like never before. You cannot get to low population this way, without causing the calamity you hoped to avoid.

Then there is the if we fail, we all fail mentality. This is banking and global economics these days. If one nation starves, we all starve. Is this a wise mentality? Look at Greece. How is this approach working? The fact is there is not enough reserve economic strength to pick lots of slack in the system. This failure is a sign of severe distress - brought on by new patterns of economic activity. This was the original China syndrome from 1900 and again today. Over commitment to this trade causes large amounts of slack in the western system - actually causing WW1 before.

So there you have it - China is headed for calamity, and the west is idle, and if the reason had been to avoid environmental distress, and possible collapse, it is instead causing it. We need to take the foot off the pedal, and back off.

BULLETIN Mayor Bloomberg CAN say something worth saying. Who knew? (Is he suffering from Occupy Wall Street guilt over his namby pamby with the anarchist encampment?)

By Azi Paybara Nov. 1, 2011

Mayor Michael Bloomberg said this morning that if there is anyone to blame for the mortgage crisis that led the collapse of the financial industry, it's not the "big banks," but Congress

They were the ones who pushed Fannie and Freddie to make a bunch of loans that were imprudent, if you will. They were the ones that pushed the banks to loan to everybody. And now we want to go vilify the banks because it's one target, it's easy to blame them and congress certainly isn't going to blame themselves. At the same time, Congress is trying to pressure banks to loosen their lending standards to make more loans. This is exactly the same speech they criticized them for."

Nevertheless, it is still faintly stunning to me that you can find within a population the size of Waterford and Cork seven Muslims willing to participate in a plot to kill a Swedish artist. Even at the height of the Irish “Troubles”, you’d have been hard put to find seven residents of Waterford willing to participate in a plot to kill, say, a British cabinet minister.

But things are different now.

I predict that this will end badly. Like other poorly-thought-out experiments of Europe’s elites.

DON SURBER ON THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT: They Should Occupy Prison: “This is the face of liberalism, America. It is lawless, selfish, disrespectful and above all mean. The Democratic Party’s embrace, promotion and even logistical support of the Occupy Wall Street movement likely will backfire. . . . The media has by and large been very supportive of the various Occupy stunts organized by unions and radical groups. The allegations of rape, pimping underage girls and underage drinking are largely ignored by a national press that repeatedly lied about the peaceful, law-abiding Tea Party movement. With Occupy, police have had to arrest more than 1,000 Occupiers — even as police ignore permit violations, camping violations and pot-smoking. I cannot recall police arresting a single Tea Party member, even though there were 100 times as many of them.”

LONDON: China has stressed it will not be a ”saviour” to Europe as the Chinese President, Hu Jintao, embarks on an official visit to the continent that will take in Thursday’s crucial Group of 20 summit in Cannes.

The warning came as the European Commission President, Jose Manuel Barroso, and the European Council President, Herman Van Rompuy, urged G20 leaders to use the meeting to address Europe’s debt crisis, saying measures proposed last week were not enough by themselves.

The French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, has said Beijing has a ”major role to play” in proposals to expand the European Financial Stability Facility to €1 trillion ($1.32 trillion), possibly through a special investment vehicle that would attract sovereign wealth funds.
