CBO approves of Obama's Job bill.
Which means the GOP will fight it tooth and nail.

JOHN FUND, WSJ: The last time NY's 9th District elected a Republican was in 1920.

gringoNOTE: Anybody feeling early tremors of an earthquake set off by Weiner's acrotchalyptic resignation?

ps Channeling John Fund's expertise on election fraud, the Republican should win, but it's still the Democrats' to steal---if the vote is close enough.

Otherwise this is drama, a huge loss for the Man Child. It would also be what few realize yet, a win for Rick Perry (more so than any other GOP candidate.)Sorry, Michelle. Sorry, Mitt. Details later.

The topic du jour on Imus will have to be the NY 9th, especially if the earth, as looks possible, quakes and Turner wins in the Liberal Heart of Darkness that was supposed to be GOP-proof.

But wouldn't it be fun to work in the 'Now It Can Be Told' from Jackie Kennedy in another era, back before the Democrats became Marxocrats?

//////NYT////Charles DeGaulle, the French president, is “that egomaniac.” The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is “a phony” whom electronic eavesdropping has found arranging encounters with women. Indira Gandhi, the future prime minister of India, is “a real prune — bitter, kind of pushy, horrible woman.”

The White House social secretary, Letitia Baldrige, Mrs. Kennedy tells Mr. Schlesinger, loved to pick up the phone and say things like “Send all the White House china on the plane to Costa Rica” or tell them they had to fly string beans in to a state dinner. She quotes Mr. Kennedy saying of Lyndon B. Johnson, his vice president, “Oh, God, can you ever imagine what would happen to the country if Lyndon was president?” And Mr. Kennedy on Franklin D. Roosevelt: “Charlatan is an unfair word,” but “he did an awful lot for effect.”

He wept in her presence a handful of times. Mrs. Kennedy describes how he cried in his bedroom, head in hands, over the debacle of the attempted invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs in 1961 by Cuban exiles opposed to Fidel Castro and trained by the Central Intelligence Agency.

gringoNOTE: Was Jack Kennedy a seer? Did he foresee FDR apparatchik Johnson escalating the Vietnam War to 500, 000 troops and at the same time creating THE GREAT SOCIETY in the US that turned millions into Washington welfare dependents who can vote, baby mamas, and children who got Government checks instead of fathers? LBJ bombed the Vietnamese with incendiaries and the Americanos with Dependency Bombs.
Some still believe he did greater damage in Vietnam.

The vote that delayed Obama's speech:

The Vote That Delayed Obama’s Speech

By JENNIFER STEINHAUER

WASHINGTON – Last week there was a small hoo-ha over choosing a day for President Obama to address a joint session of Congress. Mr. Obama wanted to give his jobs speech on Wednesday, the same night as a Republican presidential debate. But he was rebuffed by John A. Boehner, the House speaker, who said late votes on Wednesday would prohibit an ample security sweep.

There was in fact one roll call vote Wednesday night: “Authorizing the use of the Capitol Grounds for the District of Columbia Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run

4 Conservative politicians from the south did not attend his speech on Thursday.

REDSTATE//////Look, Bachmann was right to call Perry out on this issue. Of course, she blows it the next day. Typical of these politicians I guess.

Erickson has it right, it is serious issue because it was crony and Perry’s “I did it for the young people” response didn’t help matters. He needs to deal with it. However, I don’t think it is as serious as his views on immigration. These two issues are going to snowball out of control if they’re not properly addressed by Perry and his people.

Calling Bachmann out on her irresponsible response from today is fine but at this time, Perry is being vetted and some of you guys, here at Red State, are kicking dirt over the process. It’s ridiculous.

WHERE BACHMANN IS LEADING

NBC, which would support forced abortions in elementary school clinics, actually led with the story tonight and initially kind of agreed with Bachmann. Then it segued into how Perry “lied” (he received $29k instead of $5k in campaign contributions from the drug manufacturer), and then made the full loop and implied Republicans are so anti-government they want to kill us all by forbidding vaccinations against communicable diseases. It made no sense whatsoever outside of left-wing fever swamps and, perhaps, to a few of our fringier elements.

Again, I very likely may not vote for Perry for a myriad of reasons, but anyone who considers this a legitimate reason to oppose him should get a grip. This election will be about economics. Period. Want to ask the governor a good question? Ask him about his lack of private sector experience. But this crap? Please.

For the naive, especially "conservatives," who think that Perry, or any GOP-er, is going to take everybody's entitlements away, or even could without much of the country burning down....GRINGO

BULL-SHEET
Just move to a GOP-controlled state like AZ...They just cut 186,000 people off of Medicare without warning, reduced Cash assistance (second time in five years) without warning to the TRULY needy, and cut off (without warning) those who have been receiving benefits for more than 24 months.

The state also cut corporate taxes, reduced the employer's share of ui tax to an all-time low, and charge a $25 fee to visit an inmate in the private prison system. Unemployment remains virtually unchanged at 9.4% for five years.. GOP heaven, huh?

Perry Better Get Better
John Podhoretz | @jpodhoretz 09.12.2011 - 10:08 PM

I don’t think Rick Perry lost the debate tonight, though he took obvious hits that might do him some harm on immigration and his handling of the Gardasil vaccine in Texas. He got off a bunch of good quick lines and jabs in the first half hour, though as was true in the last debate, he seemed to flag after the one-hour point and could barely compose a sentence without looking as though he might pass out from exhaustion. When pummeled by Michele Bachmann on Gardasil and the fact that he took a campaign contribution from Merck, he professed he was “offended” at the suggestion he would sell out for a $5,000 donation—apparently not understanding the implication that there was a price at which he might well sell out.

A little history:

A Republican hasn't won this district since 1921!

Since 1851, a Republican has represented the NY 9th district for a grand total of only four years!

It is Chuck Schumer's and Geraldine Ferraro's old district.

At this moment, Mr. Turner is holding a slim lead at 51.8%. He's going to need much more than that to allow for the late ballot boxes that will be 98% Weprin. Reminds me of LBJ and the late boxes from Duval County. The Dems have this down to an art. Those ballots, maybe even filled out last week (mail-ins, of course) are probably sitting in the trunk of a Toyota somewhere.

The loss of the 9th Congressional District is a huge defeat for Obama and anyone who believes the White House spin that it isn't, is probably suffering from dementia brought on by drinking too much Barack Hussein Obama Koolaid. The NY 9th is anything, but an Archie Bunker type district, despite how Obama's water carriers at the National Journal try to spin it. This is a total repudiation of Obamacare, Stimulus Spending and Obama's blame Israel Policies. This is a bell weather election for 2012 and judging from the results, Obama will soon get his own bell rung.

STOPPING THE DOUCHEBAGGERS NOW

Ummahgummah

.

HOW SWEET IT IS!!!

First we got rid of the Weinerbagger and NOW WE TAKE HIS SEAT!!

SWEET REVENGE FOR THE 26th!!!!

GO TEA PARTY!!!!

.

Ummahgummah

.

Since the happily departed Weiner has a moslem wife and a moslem bun in the oven to boot - fat chance the lovely Baby Weiner will be raised Jewish - I'd like to ask if anyone has ever seen a moslem-owned car with a COEXIST sticker on it.

.

Ummahgummah

.

Searching for that elusive moslem-owned car with the non-existant COEXIST sticker on it, I found this instead:

Words of wisdom from a non-moslem, non-progressive.

First, the Muslim:

The Muslim embraces his faith not just as a religion, but as an economic, social and legal system as well. That, together with a complete intolerance for those outside their faith, makes for an implacable foe. His struggle is not at all new, indeed, history will show that it is a battle he has fought for centuries. He wishes to put a moderate face upon his religion, not getting too visibly close to those who strike out in the name of Islam, but you are hard pressed to find apologists for the wickedness of the Osama Bin Ladens in his midst.

The Muslim finds the concept of individual freedom abhorrent. The Muslim holds that females within his own faith are inferior, an entire gender to be subjugated. To hold opinions or faiths contrary to these beliefs is not an occasion for the Muslim to put a "Coexist" bumper sticker on his car, but to lash out at that which he finds offense. You might just be curious as to why you never see a "Coexist" bumper sticker on an automobile owned by a Muslim.

And since he is commanded by his Prophet to kill the disbeliever where he finds him, well, there you have it. There is no political correctness in Islam. There is only Islam - submission.

Now, the Progressive:

The Progressive, by his nature, abhors the concept of a Superior Being. He does not wish to contemplate the presence of God around him; he is intent upon stamping out any reference to God and substituting himself in God's place.

The Progressive does not believe in the central principles set forth in the Founding Documents because those very principles rely upon rights that are conveyed to mankind by God, which are inalienable. This is something that the Progressive cannot abide - how can he be god if there is a God already?

It is an irrefutable fact that this nation was founded upon the Judeo-Christian ethic. It is an irrefutable fact that our legal system is largely derived from English Common Law. In drawing upon these two traditions, our founders crafted a nation in which the individual is free to live his life as he sees fit, not beholden to a tyrannical government nor to a religious creed in which he does not embrace.

And since he cannot control those around him without scouring the piers of our Constitutional Republic, he has to slowly and inexorably erode those foundations. There is nothing but political correctness in Progressivism. There is only Progressivism - tyranny.

So, the Muslim hates America because it is not ruled by Sharia. The Progressive hates America because he does not get to play the role of God.

The Progressive finds common cause with the Muslim in his loathing of individual rights and freedom from oppression. The Muslim feigns acceptance, but given the tenants of his faith, will deceive the Progressive - his only goal is the Caliphate. And if that day should ever come, as history teaches, the first victim of the conquering Muslim will be the Progressive.

.

Ummahgummah

You all know how libs suddenly discover FREEDOM OF RELIGION the moment someone questions islam.

Didn't matter much as long as they were dealing with Christians but OOOOH NOOOOO.. moslems MUST be accorded FREEDOM OF RELIGION at all cost, even if it costs us many of our own lives.

To those who say that the Constitution is not a suicide pact, Samuel Adams - a Toast to old Samuel! - has something very valuable to offer:

Liberty_Clinger 2 days ago in reply to turfmann
Our Founding Fathers knew the answer to this conundrum. Any religion which flies in the face of our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution is an unholy religion which deserves our rational intolerance. Bigotry is irrational intolerance which is based on lies. Rational intolerance is not bigotry and is based on truth.

“In regard to religion, mutual toleration in the different professions thereof is what all good and candid minds in all ages have ever practiced, and, both by precept and example, inculcated on mankind. And it is now generally agreed among Christians that this spirit of toleration, in the fullest extent consistent with the being of civil society, is the chief characteristical mark of the Church. Insomuch that Mr. Locke has asserted and proved, beyond the possibility of contradiction on any solid ground, that such toleration ought to be extended to all whose doctrines are not subversive of society. The only sects which he thinks ought to be, and which by all wise laws are excluded from such toleration, are those who teach doctrines subversive of the civil government under which they live [Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution].” Samuel Adams

And More liberal-eviscerating wisdom from Human Events..

“The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for among old
parchments or musty records. They are written, as with a sunbeam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased.” Alexander Hamilton

So much for the "living breathing" Constitution written by "dead old white men". Nothing but liberal rhetoric to undermine OUR Constitutional Rights.

SCREW LIBS. THE CONSTITUTION IS NON-NEGOTIABLE!!

Today was both a great day and a sad day for over two years I have been telling people what his hidden agenda is. You hit it right on nose. Just imagine if someone saw America thru the eyes of an enemy, someone who hates America and only saw its actions as acts of terror. If a man was raised to only see the evil the injustice that exists in any society, yet the society was American. What would that person do, what would that person’s agenda be and could he fool a society. That is what has happened his name is Barrack Hussein Obama and he is President.

DJ

I agree with Dr. Crowley that marriage should be between one man and one woman but I disagree with her on extending legal rights to gay couples, i.e., civil unions. I think homosexuality should be pushed back into the closet far from the sight of children.

Secondly, on the subject of Obama knowing exactly what he is doing regarding his agenda to turn the USA into a socialist country, Dr. Crowley is dead-on. Obama indeed is, with great and deliberate skill, advancing a socialist agenda. Capitalism along with its attendant merit system is anathema to his egalitarian ideology.

Ummahgummah

.

The Hussein Agenda isn't so hidden anymore. Even the verkaktahs in Brooklyn and Queen are hip to the Bama by now.

Ummah,

The mooslim foothold in America has long since passed its incipient stage. Now the mooslims are starting to exert their political power. A prime example is the Ground Zero Mosk. But, as you know, there are many examples of mooslims flexing the political muscle. Too numerous to mention. How did this happen? As I see it, ever since the multicult meme became the dominant social theme in American culture. Combine that with the 1965 Immigration Act, dependence on oil from the Middle-East, and free and UNFAIR trade with countries such as China and we've sown the seeds of our own destruction.

Monica, your evaluation of Obama is exactly right.Wants to bring the U.SA. into a New World Order. Why are people so blind to this point.I know we prefer not to believe it, but open your eyes folks.

 M/M

Monica, Don Imus said this about George Bush:

‎"What I do believe is that neither he nor anyone else cares enough about them," he told the NBC newsman. "And if you're a black person in New Orleans, what else are you supposed to think? The facts are the facts."
http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/9/6/91712.shtml

But Don Imus has said NOTHING about the poor people suffering from the floods in upstate New York. From the pictures, there seem to a lot of white people there. Even a friend of one Imus' friends:

"Representatives of farmers’ markets in New York City said that shoppers would feel the effects throughout the fall. “There will be farmers they’ve known for years who might not be bringing product,” said Michael Hurwitz, director of the greenmarket program at GrowNYC, a nonprofit group.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/31/nyregion/after-irene-upstate-new-york-farmers-suffer-in-flood-plain.html.

Monica, I haven't heard Don Imus say anything about his fellow New Yorkers. Does Don Imus care about poor white people?

I'd like to weigh in on your thoughts re: 'first, destroy or discredit capitalism' and it becomes easier move to a more socialistic model.
President Obama behaves that a second term is not paramount in his agenda. He only pretends that he cares.
He has a year plus to elevate the world financial crisis to justify a national emergency to invoke executive privilege and remain in office. And defer any election.
We will then have Barack ( Hugo) Obama.
