The carnage of the Obama economy continues.

A partial list of the most recent economic catastrophes:

A volatile stock market, including a major slide this week; a stinkbomb of a debt deal that will only exacerbate the debt crisis; an atrocious jobs situation, with unemployment going to 9.1%, but only because 200,000 people stopped looking for work entirely; non-existent GDP growth; manufacturing slowing to a crawl; a housing sector still in collapse; and consumer confidence at a two year low.

All of this is a direct result of the Obama policies of the past 3 years: the massive expansion of government, unprecedented spending, record-breaking deficits and debt, and socialized medicine. Those wicked wealth redistribution policies have undermined and weakened the free market, replacing it with ever-encroaching central economic planning and government control. The government sector is running over the private sector, leaving it bleeding in the middle of the road.

It's not a big mystery why the economy is a staggering, gasping mess. And to think: it's all by design.

The sole party to blame here is the GOP for their reluctance to work with the President and Democrats on a realistic solution to turn this economy around. Since the debt deal didn't include any plans at all to create jobs and did nothing to close tax loopholes, this is the response from investors in the market. There is not trust, no faith in the long term state of the economy. Why would there be when our elected representatives can't even work together.

The rich say how they are the job creators. Just tax us as little as possible. They never say that the cutting taxes actually will help. IT NEVER HAS!

If we just look at income, it might actually seem that the wealthy pay a higher percentage of the taxes than they bring home in income. But when you can call something “capital gains” and roll it forward indefinitely and never call it “income”, that’s the rub."

Who pays all of these taxes? The best information on that comes from the Congressional Budget Office, which has tracked the tax burden for many years. The most recent complete data cover 2007. CBO figured in that year more than half of all federal taxes was paid by the top 10 percent of income earners. They paid 55 percent of all federal taxes in 2007, CBO said.

That's a comprehensive figure, counting the income tax, payroll taxes, excise taxes and even the corporate income tax (borne by stockholders in the form of reduced dividends and appreciation). And perhaps surprisingly, the top 10 percent of earners pay a greater share of federal taxes now than they did before the Bush tax cuts, which Democrats constantly criticize as a giveaway to "the rich." The top 10 percent paid 50 percent of all federal taxes in 2001.

However, that comes in spite of lower tax rates at the top, not because of it. The reason the most affluent 10 percent pay a greater share of taxes is that they are getting a greater share of all income. Their share of all pre-tax income went from 37.5 percent in 2001 to 42 percent in 2007

The answer can be found in the skewed version of egalitarianism they are wedded to. The left-liberal intelligentsia believe in distributive justice over procedural justice; they value equality of outcomes over equality of opportunity or equality of process.

SOCIALISM SUCKS: Obama's problem is that he has bought and swallowed the whole doctrine of socialism. They don't enough speak the same language as a capitalist. To Obama an investment is a government expenditure. Revenue is not money that a business makes from sales, but revenue is tax receipts from Americans. Job growth doesn't come from private investment and growth but comes from government spending on "infrastructure", teacher salaries, and healthcare. To the socialist the recession is caused by greedy businesses who seek dirty profits instead of spending their money on social welfare benefits for their employees. To this end they pass thousands and thousands of regulations to micro-manage the economy. What these regulations do is prevent businesses from expanding, investing, and growing. The socialist are too stupid to recogize these facts because they don't care about economic growth. If we had true economic growth someone just might become a millionaire or a billionaire. This may be perfectly 100% true, but what about the G.O.P. and its ruling clique of RINOsaurs? About 10 years ago these Goopers and their House of Bush controlled (1) the White House (2) the Senate and (3) the House. That's all three--count -'em--all three.

And what happened? What kind of a job did they do? We know the answer.

The kind of job they did under the House of Bush made Ronald Reagan "out-dated" and led directly to the incredible Marxie Scam Man Obama ( boosted by Corporate Charley, Same-Sex Hollywood and, as Ann Coulter reminds us, endorsed by the Communist Party, USA, which knows something about how socialists can roll the capitalists and the G.O.P., as with half-wit socialist mantras, like TAX DA RICH bunkum, knowing full well that its huge phalanx of crony capitalists and lib trust fund babies will be sheltered as usual, and the real target of the socialists is the middle class not yet captured by and made dependent on Big Nanny.
