She's at it again.
But what "it" is, nobody really knows.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has hit the road on what she calls a "One Nation" bus tour of key American historical sites. She kicked off her tour on Sunday by causing a sensation at the annual Rolling Thunder bike rally that calls attention to vets who remain MIA. She made the scene on the back of a Harley, fierce in black leather. Girlfriend is not only a true conservative and shrewd political operator, she is drop-dead gorgeous, which are three of the biggest reasons the Left and their handmaidens in the media loathe her.
From there she set out to visit the Gettysburg battlefield and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. She is always seen at these sites wearing a broad smile, as if she's actually happy to be reaching out and touching great American history. Imagine that! Unembarrassed patriotism! She is a true happy warrior! Another reason the Left hates her.
Plus, she's taking a page out of the playbooks of Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, who went over the heads of the press and took their messages directly to the American people. She doesn't need to go through the editorial page staffs of newspapers who despise her to talk to the people. She goes right TO the people and talks WITH them. Yet another reason the Left hates her.
She's on to New York City, where she'll visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the gateways to America for previous generations of (legal) immigrants. After that, her schedule remains a mystery. Will she go to Boston, Faneuil Hall, see the route of Paul Revere? Will she visit Plymouth Rock and the harbor that hosted the original Tea Party? Will she roll into....New Hampshire?
No one knows. And that's exactly how she likes it. She is so smart and clever that the Left's attacks on her intelligence look evermore ridiculous. Let them cackle. She's playing them like a Stradivarius.
They know it and hate it, of course. A CBS News producer, charged with following her caravan across the Northeast, said, "It feels like she's baiting us and treating us like paparazzi and make the 'lamestream media' appear that way." Actually, Palin doesn't have to do ANYTHING to make the lamestream media appear lame. They do that all by themselves.
And yes, she IS baiting them, making them look like fools. Isn't it great? They hate her so much, and yet they're forced to chase her like 12 year old girls running after Justin Bieber.
Former President Richard Nixon once said, "I intend to confound my enemies before I defeat them."
I have no idea if Sarah Palin will run for the Republican nomination or not. What I do know is that she is having her political opponents for lunch. She is confounding them, and it's only a matter of time before she defeats them. She's already doing it. And having the time of her life.
.
Well, at the very least she's out there putting the heat on the Goopers and getting even with the MEANstream media.

I just counted 14 DiFFERENT news sites, ranging from Left to Right to in-between who are carrying the story from Bunker Hill: Palin's Shot Heard 'Round the Gooper World.
That's 14 without even looking for others....

DJ.
Yes, DJ, things like that can happen at a "conservative-leaning" site, especially when one of the most talked-about political figures in modern US history happens to be making news, as she did again today at Bunker Hill. It's called newsworthy.
BTW, I understand Monicamemo to welcome competing views (it even has a screaming pwogwessive mental patient.) If you have a strong feeling for Mitt Romney et al, why not count for us the reasons why? Who knows, you might even convince someody here. I don't think Ummah is laughing at Romney, is he? And Monica has already described him as (excuse the expression)"eye candy."

Gringoman, what do you mean I am not laughing at Romney? Frankly, I don't think he can beat the Bama.
Romney is a fluffy butterfly who's too nice to even bring a knife to the gun fight.
If you have a knife at a gun fight you have at least some chance of winning, IF you know how to THROW your knife at the right moment.

Savage seems to think he can beat the Bama but I disagree. Though I like that he said that at least Romney is an American and we know where he was born and his father was an American and so on.
As for seeing a real Conservative in the White House, Savage was pessimistic, saying that may take a few decades to achieve.

Okay, Ummah. Got it. Does DJ? I mean, does DJ know what you think of Mitty? I think DJ knows my view.
BTW, FYI, I think Romney is a fine family man, and in many ways a respectable American, probably five times as decent as the typical Democrat gangbanger. I just don't want to see any Gooper heading the G.O.P. ticket in 2012. These Goopers will be chopped liver for the Chicago racists and socialists and their mogul-funded media hacks. If Romney really wants to serve his country, I'm sure that Sarah Palin could and would find a place for him in her cabinet.

Ease up G-Man. I made that comment in jest. It was a takeoff of the well known Brady Bunch Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! quote.
I know, I know, it went over like a lead balloon, but it was meant to lighten things up, not to agitate or as a challenge.
See y'all tomorrow.

Keep dreaming. Romney is the man to beat for the GOP nomination; and that's all there is to it. Is he the best man for America? Hardly. Is he what Tea Partiers want? Nope. A true Conservative? HA!
Can he beat Obama? Just Maybe...and that's all the GOP cares about.

(DJ, more Palin. They just can't stop talking about her. So scroll away if it's too much for you---or give us a Romney counter-weight)
//////.........Great local political prose. Speaking of which, our own Boston Herald political reporter Joe Battenfeld got the scoop in spades re Palin vs Romney and the Northeast Corridor fuddy duddies:
Palin seems to understand what other candidates don’t right now. The 2012 campaign is going to be driven mostly by Internet buzz and social media, not scripted speeches and the network news.
Palin uses Twitter to communicate. Romney uses PowerPoint. I’m pretty sure Newt Gingrich still uses a slide projector.
The former Alaska governor also isn’t afraid to mix it up with her rivals, and the dreaded mainstream media. This strategy also ensures she will dominate the race, until or unless she gets out
(and I don’t think she will).

Horror for US Economy as Data Falls off Cliff
Published: Wednesday, 1 Jun 2011 | 2:09 PM ET
By: Patrick Allen
CNBC EMEA Head of News
The last month has been a horror show for the U.S. economy, with economic data falling off a cliff, according to Mike Riddell, a fund manager at M&G Investments in London.
"It seems that almost every bit of data about the health of the US economy has disappointed expectations recently," said Riddell, in a note sent to CNBC on Wednesday.

ALL morons eventually find their way back home to the Democrat Party. Therefore the the question should be: Are their more morons in the American electorate than normal people? Of course the election of Obama in 2008 indicates we've already passed the tipping point.

Do the resident theologists here not notice the latest blaspheming by Mental Patient X?
Mental Patient X holds forth as a follower of Jesus and an expert on Satan too. The Southern evangelists object to the Mormon equating of Jesus and Satan as spiritual brothers.
MP X, a self-styled "Christian," calls these evangelists "morons."
It logically follows that Mental Patient X, self-styled "Christian," sees nothing wrong with equating Jesus and Satan, and is therefore an abject hypocrite and blasphemer, or else does see something wrong with it, and is therefore an abject liar.
ps Of course, there's a third possibility. Mental Patient X is an angry lunatic.

The Congressman adamantly denies tweeting a suggestive photo of a man in grey underwear to a 21-year-old woman, but was far less clear about the photo’s origin when pressed by CBS congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes.
Cordes: “Congressman, I think the main question people are asking is, was that a picture of you?”
Weiner: “Well the main question that a lot of people are asking is did I send the photograph. I did not, this was a prank, a hoax.”
Cordes: “So it sounds like it was a photo of you.”
Weiner: “Well we’re going to try to find out exactly what happened.”
Weiner is also dodging questions about why he followed the Washington State College student on Twitter, along with a bevy of other young women, refusing to answer reporters’ questions about whether he ever sent her private messages.
LOL

DJ,
Methinks you lean toward Possibility #3 as the best description of Mental Patient X, i.e. not liar, hypocrite or blasphemer, but simply angry lunatic.
Or could it be a combination of all four toxins?

Maybe xbjllb thinks that 90% of Mormons don't KNOW their Church teaches that, the way that 99% of Christianity at large doesn't realize the concept of life beginning at conception is Church and science-inspired blasphemy either and goes 100% against what Christ and the early Christians believed.
Maybe xbjllb believes that God cuts most people slack for not knowing what their churches teach UNTIL THEY HEAR THE TRUTH.
Wow. That would also explain how natives in New Guinea who never heard the Gospel could actually be just fine and right with God too.
And how evangelism, as a front for imperialism, was never needed or Christian.
What never ceases to amaze me is how people of such intelligence as yourselves, in their hurry to "catch" me, never once just stop to think things through for themselves to come to the same logical sane conclusions.
