Over the past few months, we have seen the epicenter of the battle for the fiscal future of America move from Washington to state capitols across the country: in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey. Republican governors and at least one major Democrat (Andrew Cuomo in New York) have moved to bring their fiscal trainwrecks under control through various means: restricting collective bargaining for government unions, capping property taxes, initiating government union pension reform. The GOP Governors have been met with outrageous protests (funny how Albany has been pretty silent, huh?). In Wisconsin, where the Left revolted the most openly, loudly, and crazily, signs were plastered around the capitol calling Governor Scott Walker "a fascist," "Hitler," a "criminal," among other slurs.
The government union bosses and their thugs on the Left then mobilized a legal challenge to Walker's groundbreaking budget law that restricted collective bargaining in the state. A lower court judge blocked it, but yesterday...big news.
The Wisconsin State Supreme Court ruled by a 4-3 margin to reinstate Walker's collective bargaining reform law.
Because we moved to help ensure that a conservative majority remained on the Court, guided by the Constitution and not liberal judicial activism, we were able to see this hugely positive ruling.
But just as we celebrate this victory for fiscal responsibility, be reminded of how close that Wisconsin Supreme Court vote was: 4-3. The future of the state---as well as the future of the country---rests on these razor-slim margins. We must make sure that in 2012, we vote in true conservatives who will appoint strict constructionists to benches across the nation.
Also, remember that next month there are six RECALL campaigns that will be waged against Republican state senators in Wisconsin, organized by MoveOn.org, Barack Obama's campaign activists, and labor union bosses.
If the Leftists win just three of the RECALLs, they will take control of the legislature and be able to block Walker's efforts completely. So we must defeat ALL six recalls. If the Left manages to pull off these recalls, they will again be in a position to reverse what Walker has done.
What happened yesterday in the Wisconsin Supreme Court is a great victory for fiscal sanity and against Left-wing thuggery, but we mustn't lose sight of the way the Left rolls: what they cannot win at the ballot box they'll try to win through liberal judges and through short-circuiting recalls. It's simply a different kind of systemic abuse.
Yesterday we scored a major victory, but the battle is far from over.
.
I don't know exactly what measures were taken in other states, but here in New York State the boy cumo capped real estate tax INCREASES at 2% yearly and libs started acting like vampires exposed to the midday sun.

Where was any sign of respect for the Constitution Monday night? I didn't get to see the whole show, but there didn't seem to be much regard for it. While the Declaration of Independence has no force of law, the founders tended to think its basic philosophy, that rights are God-given and governments have the duty to secure them, should guide lawmakers. Other than the ill-begotten 18th Amendment, amendments have tended to enhance individual liberty not infringe on it. Half the people the other night seemed willing to destroy the Constitution to establish a theocracy and the others to allow the states to do so. Granted John Adams was willing to compromise on state theocracies, but he either didn't understand the perniciousness of theocracies or he felt the need to compromise as the founders did on other things such as slavery.
The 10th Amendment gives states powers not prohibited, but that should not be taken to mean they can take away basic individual liberties as Justice Alito finally upheld in the Chicago gun case. Theocracy means an end to individual liberty. The head of the Muslim Brotherhood was interviewed recently and actually told the truth. When asked if the MB gained control in Egypt would basic civil liberties be protected, he said there could be no civil law that conflicted with sharia.

Governor Andrew "Subprime" Cuomo, showing signs of recognizing the fiscal trainwreck in New York, is getting a pat on the head from Monica. Question for Monica: Will Andrew also get one for his yeoman, even frenzied work for the Gaying of America, as we see here....? Or does G.O.P. Central, determined to avoid "social distractions", give him a pass?
GAY MAFIA TAKES NEW YORK?
New York State is on brink of legalizing homosexual marriage, thanks in part to the intense dedication of Governor Andrew "Subprime" Cuomo, who got elected after defeating the very tough-talking but terminal klutzy "upstart" what's-his-name who would never have allowed this, but was just too, well, terminally klutzy to win the election. The stampede is on. The white pogwessives have totally co-opted "Subprime" Cuomo and the "civil rights" and "victimhood" meme of Martin Luther King etc.
Can you smell that Hollwood and billionaire and Soros money and other pay-offs? Governor Andrew, a so-called "Catholic" who married into the Kennedy clan, is beating the drums day and night for this. Wonder why? Legalizing this pwogwessive overthrow of 5000 years of human history never got legalized when the Democrats controlled the NY Senate. Now that the Republicans took it in last November's Election, and a few Goops are straying, the Big Fix is in, with the Dems voting unanimously to kill the historic concept of marriage. The Hispanic clergyman who has campaigned against has received death threats.
The white pogwessive fanatics and their Big Money are one vote away from swinging New York State. Expected to pass by Friday. The fascist-shrieking pogwessives will not mention that the Nazi Storm Troopers were originally homosexual. How did that finally work out for them? And they never dreamed of "marriage," except in private rituals with nobody looking.
Few of these virulent pogwessives know, or want to know. Take a good look at Little Anthony Weiner's face and you might get some some understanding of these pogwessives, and their broiling inner fascisti. They can also find the money to buy the pols and sway the judges. They're making headway in the schools, in the office, they own Hollywood, and they won another big battle over the US Military. So what if the majority of whites will never truly accept? So what if the Third World of all races will do things to them? Here it will be the law, so piss on feelings of the majority. Capture the kids in school. If they can do it, do it they will! Yeeeeeaaaaaagghghghgh! If you don't submit to their demands, you're a hater. Ask any infantile personality.
They'll be celebrating another pyrhhic "victory" soon in New York. Frothy times. Will Monica toss one down with her Log Cabin Republicans?
Posted by: gringoman | June 15, 2011 at 12:32 PM
Point of clarification, re The Overthrow of 5000 years in NY:
Purveyors of the "homophobe" agitprop, shrieking "hater" at anyone who opposes what they're doing to the fabric of society, can shove it. In my opinion, most homosexuals are by no means "marriage fanatics." They do want to be left alone, but they are not dying to shove themselves in society's face or to legally hijack its bedrock institutions.
There's a certain analogy with muslims. The majority will go along with whichever way the wind is blowing. They are not fanatics.
Currently, the Homosexual Jihad is winning in the US. The average homosexaul has little or no interest in overturning the traditional concept of marriage, but it's not his job to speak out and be made a pariah by the crazies. Everyone knows how vicious and nasty the militant minority can be. Ask the pols who either do their bidding, or get out of their way.
But you still don't recognize Gay Fascism, even when it now owns even New York Governor Andrew Cuomo?

Ummah,
Who is gaining greater victories over the befuddled Americanos today---the Islamic Jihad or the Homosexual Jihad?
True, IJ is now humiliating them at airports, even getting into the underwear of their mothers and wives and children, but face it, the HJ are no duffers either. In the "powerful" US military, even the highest-ranking Generals might soon have to accept Private George and his "husband" Staff Sergeant John, on "duty" at Fort Bragg. What General wants to face legal action from Monica's Log Cabin Republicans, and see his career suddenly on the rocks of "homophobia"? Heh. Would Monica thank him for THAT service?

TBSH has a point re. an excess of unfunded mandates. Then there are the courts who keep interfering anytime a proposition to curb taxes makes it onto a ballot and then finds popular acceptance via the vote.
Maybe judges should be subject to elections by the people rather than being appointed party hacks.
The city of Philadelphia also charges a "business privilege" tax to anyone who does business there.
Totally disgusting.
As is what you describe being done in Arizona.
They are begging for a Third Party, it seems.
Problem remains: how do we handle the fascist reach by unelected judges who consistently side with the most radical liberal agenda?
Why vote when these judges effectively negate the expressed will of the voters whenever some radical pressure group runs before some renegade court to impose their will upon the taxpaying majority?

From the link TBSH provided above:
“Today we grieve for the families who have lost loved ones, the hearts that have been broken and the young lives that could have been. America it is time to start bringing our troops home. It’s time to admit that no amount of American lives can resolve the political disagreement that lies at the heart of someone else’s civil war. That’s why I have a plan that will bring our combat troops home by March of 2008.” Barack Hussein Obama.
