Two top Democrats just stepped in it. Let's review.
First, the new head of the Democrat National Committee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (that voice! that hair!) was asked last week about illegal immigration. As you read her response, remember that it's ILLEGAL immigration about which she's talking:
"The Republican solution that I've seen in the last three years is that we should just pack them all up and ship them back to their own countries and that in fact IT SHOULD BE A CRIME and we should arrested them all."
I added the italics, although her stupidity is so glaring that it really doesn't need the extra emphasis.
Compounding her ridiculousness, she went on to say:
"If it were up to the candidates for president on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars; they would have let the auto industry in America go down the tubes."
The Hill newspaper quickly reported that Wasserman Schultz owns a 2010 Infiniti FX35, a Japanese car whose parent company is Nissan. The newspaper cited Florida motor vehicle records.
Maybe she's had one too many perms. Or maybe she's a Far-Left zealot who will lie through her teeth and blow off facts just to get her destructive ideological agenda through.
She wasn't the only Democrat doofus making revealing statements about how they truly feel and what they truly believe.
While giving his Memorial Day speech yesterday at Arlington National Cemetery (you know---the thing he did before hitting the Back Nine), President Obama said this:
"This day is about you, and the fallen heroes that you loved. And it's a day that has meaning for all Americans, including me. It's one of my highest honors, it is my most solemn responsibility as President, to serve as Commander-in-Chief of ONE OF the finest fighting forces the world has ever known."
ONE OF the finest fighting forces the world has ever known? Seriously? Out of the mouth of the American Commander-in-Chief. Unbelievable.
Just 17 months until we can rid ourselves of these Far-Left, maniacally ideological, and hysterically destructive doofi.
"Or maybe she's a Far-Left zealot who will lie through her teeth and blow off facts just to get her destructive ideological agenda through."
-------------------
Monica, there is no maybe about it. Commie Wassermann Schmuckface IS a FAR-LEFT ZEALOT. She will lie, cheat, and steal to advance her EXTREMELY destructive ideological agenda through - whatever it takes....
And make no mistake about it, her far left agenda has what ALL far-left ideologies have in common: they're anti-Christian and anti-white.

So? maybe she wants people to have the right to pick a US made car or one from overseas.
Look at the number of US citizens who live in foreign countries!

Debbie W.S. is a female Keith Olberman or a female Michael Moore. She is in the same league as Nancy Pelosi and that Vermont socialist, B. Sanders. This is the face of the Democrat Party.
The ongoing debate over the Columbia/Panama Free Trade Agreements is a perfect example of the Democrat Party's socialist leanings. Free trade is one of the most important pillars of economic growth, and wouldn't you know Obama and the DEMs want to tie economic growth and free trade with more government handouts. This is the essence of soicalism, more government spending, more regulations, more spending, more, more, more. Everything they touch turns into more government regulations, more spending, and more taxes.
And finally, the Obama Administration is trying to sell their new Commerce Secretary nominee as a businessman/CEO. Bryson was the CEO of a California Utility, a major league environmentalist and greenie, and hardly a real CAPITALIST. He is an Obama "capitalist", which is a pure head fake play to get another leftwing environmental whacko into the Administration.

Wassermann-Shultz is an asslown/idiot, but you're really reaching on the Obama comment. "One of???" C'mon, you're better than that. Also, all the digs at Obama playing golf are just as misguided as the attacks on Bush from the left because he hung around Crawford all the time.
Finally, the concept of American exceptionalism is so 1995. We need to first confront reality (we're not what we used to be). And then FIX IT.

Todd Palin on possible 2012 campaign: 'This family has been tested'
By: CNN Political Reporter Peter Hamby
Dillsburg, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Todd Palin told a handful of reporters Tuesday that his wife will decide on her own whether or not to seek the presidency. He is not pushing her one way or the other, he said.
But he emphasized that if the former Alaska governor does choose to embark on another national campaign, he and their children will be ready.
"This family has been tested," Palin said. "When people talk about how she was just plucked up out of Wasilla, you have to look at her career. Every step in her career is another step for the family, and we were prepared.

Palin: End all federal energy subsidies
May 31, 2011 by Ed Morrissey
Whether she’s running or not, Sarah Palin will have a big impact on the presidential race — and she demonstrated why today at a stop on her bus tour in Pennsylvania. Palin told Scott Conroy of Real Clear Politics that not only should the US end subsidies for ethanol, but should end subsidies on all energy production, mainly because we can no longer afford to pay them:
Asked Tuesday whether she supports the federal subsidy of ethanol, an always critical issue in the presidential nominating cycle, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin went one step further and called for the elimination of all energy subsidies.
“I think that all of our energy subsidies need to be relooked at today and eliminated,” Palin told RCP during a quick stop at a coffee shop in this picturesque town tucked into the south-central Pennsylvania countryside. “And we need to make sure that we’re investing and allowing our businesses to invest in reliable energy products right now that aren’t going to necessitate subsidies because, bottom line, we can’t afford it.”

PALIN: CUT ALL ENERGY SUBSIDIES
Another vote against corporate 'cornyism'
Posted by Daniel Horowitz
Tuesday, May 31st
As the presidential election heats up, we will continue to track where the candidates stand on ethanol and energy subsidies. The issue of ethanol subsidies is vital to conservatives for several reasons. First, ethanol epitomizes everything that is wrong with onerous government interventions; corporate cronyism, market distortions, higher prices for vital goods and services, and government dependency. Also, with food and energy prices at an all time high, ethanol subsidies will provide the eventual Republican nominee with a unique opportunity to use bread and butter issues to educate voters about the virtues of the free market.
Finally, and most importantly, if the Republican nominee lacks the temerity to rebuff a handful of corn welfare recipients in Iowa, he/she will certainly lack the moxie to cut trillions from the millions of dependents on the welfare state.
Last week, Mitt Romney embraced ethanol, Tim Pawlenty disavowed his support for ethanol (while speaking in Iowa), and Newt Gingrich….well, he is Professor Cornpone. Today, Sarah Palin rejected all energy subsidies in a brief interview with reporters in Gettysburg. Scott Conroy of Real Clear Politics reports from Gettysburg:
Asked Tuesday whether she supports the federal subsidy of ethanol, an always critical issue in the presidential nominating cycle, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin went one step further and called for the elimination of all energy subsidies.
“I think that all of our energy subsidies need to be relooked at today and eliminated,” Palin told RCP during a quick stop at a coffee shop in this picturesque town tucked into the south-central Pennsylvania countryside. “And we need to make sure that we’re investing and allowing our businesses to invest in reliable energy products right now that aren’t going to necessitate subsidies because, bottom line, we can’t afford it.” ….

M/M Thanks for that. This country still hasn't fully recovered from what's called the Civil War, and since few if any want to confront it honestly, without the official bunkum, it probably never will. Both the Left and the Right partner up in this. They were politically correct even before the Nazi right and the Stalinoid left imposed its own racism and mind=set. E.g. Since Lincoln is obviously a great historical figure and American icon, it is forbidden to discuss the "whole" Lincoln, like the Lincoln who wanted the slaves, after their emancipation, re-settled outside the US, in the Carribean or South America or sent back to Africa.
__________________________
You're welcome Gringoman. I'm hearing more stories like the above. The Civil War is incredibly complex and it is viewed differently by the generations. What is puzzling is why regular, Southern farmers, who did not own slaves, fought for the South? I know it was a state's right issue, but I'd like to hear more about the common Southerner's point of view. (Singers like Levon Helm "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and Johnny Cash are sons of the Confederacy.)
Warfare is interesting too. Sherman believed he could save more lives by showing civilians that "war is hell" than in prolonging it. He felt that getting civilians to surrender would be key to winning. He also disliked the press and felt "if he shot them all, there would be news from hell before breakfast".
They had a sense of humor too, like what to do with the dead. One Union commander decided to bury them in Lee's front yard. That is how Arlington came about.
In terms of the freed slaves, there was racism too. They were freed, but had no power.
I like the clip because after all those years and all those wars, the Union and Confederate officers ended up having more in common with each other. U.S. Grant and Lincoln tried to heal the nation after the war, and treat Southerners not like the enemy, but like fellow Americans.

How about an airport plan? Currently there are approximately 60 US airports that have international flights. Hawaii has 7, Illinois-9, and N Carolina-9, and Montana-7. Each has to have customs and immigration capabilities, and TSA-scanners. Whatever happened to an orderly system with a few international airports in places like LAX, JFK, and MSP? What? Is that too sensible? Do we really need 7 international airports in Montana?

True. The sentiment blacks felt for the South was captured in the Florida State song 'The Swanne River'
ORIGINAL LYRICS:
Verse 1:
Way down upon de Swanee ribber,
Far, far away,
Dere'ss wha my heart is turning ebber,
Dere's wha de old folks stay.
All up and down de whole creation
Sadly I roam,
Still longing for de old plantation
And for de old folks at home.
Chorus:
All de world am sad and dreary,
Ebry where I roam,
Oh! darkies how my heart grows weary,
Far from de old folks at home.
Verse 2:
All round de little farm I wandered
When I was young,
Den many happy days I squandered,
Many de songs I sung.
When I was playing wid my brudder
Happy was I
Oh! take me to my kind old mudder,
Dere let me live and die.
Chorus
Verse 3:
One little hut amond de bushes,
One dat I love,
Still sadly to my mem'ry rushes,
No matter where I rove
When will I see de bees a humming
All round de comb?
When will I hear de banjo tumming

Because unless Obama resigns immediately for "health" and "family" reasons, he has no chance whatsoever after being destroyed by BIRTHER TRUTH to ever hold political office ever again. Most definitely will not survive to become a Hillary veep and go on to serve a second term in 2020.

It is my understand that the South seceded due to devasting taxes the North imposed on the South. If the non-slaving owning Southern farmers felt the hardship from taxes imposed by the North, it would explain why the were so driven to fight back.

Ugandan immigrant to Canada had unprotected sex with 11 women, infecting seven ... two died.
Article:
Jury Was Racist, Convicted HIV Killer Says
Globe and Mail, May 27, 2011
"A man convicted of killing two women by infecting them with HIV says he was only found guilty of first-degree murder because the jury was racist.
Johnson Aziga, 54-year-old Ugandan immigrant believed to be the first person in Canada convicted of murder through HIV transmission, is testifying at his dangerous offender hearing.
Mr. Aziga’s convictions are related to 11 women with whom he had unprotected sex without telling them he had HIV and seven of the women became infected, with two dying of AIDS-related cancers.
On the stand today, Mr. Aziga said he admits he is guilty of aggravated sexual assault for not telling the women he was HIV positive before having unprotected sex with them.
But he says he shouldn’t have been convicted of murder because while he exposed them to HIV, he doesn’t believe he is definitely the source of their infections.
Mr. Aziga, who is black, says the jury found him guilty of the two murder counts because they were biased and racist."
