Stop...In the Name of All That is Good and Decent

A few people who need to cease and desist immediately:

1. The Democrats. The already out of control monster deficit spiked 16% in the first half of this fiscal year. STOP SPENDING!!!

2. The Republican leadership. Stop wimping out and fight for REAL, not imaginary, spending cuts. And oh yeah: STOP SPENDING!!

3. Nancy Pelosi. In a speech at Tufts University this week, the former House Speaker said this: "To my Republican friends: take back your party." In other words: give up your core principles and bend to our will. She continued, "So that it doesn't matter so much who wins the election, because we have shared values..." Just as she acknowledged when she ran the show, right? And finally, the kicker: "Elections shouldn't matter as much as they do." She didn't think that way in 2006 and 2008. The Founding Fathers might be surprised to hear her say that elections shouldn't matter. So might the voters in her district. If she thinks elections shouldn't matter, then she shouldn't mind getting voted out.

4. The Federal Reserve. The Fed continues to print money by the bajillions. STOP IT. Further, the Fed downplays inflation, when a measure used in the 1970's puts it today at nearly 10%. Stop fibbing to us about inflation, which we see in our daily lives, from food to T-shirts to gas.

5. President Obama. Today, he's set to tell us that he's found Jesus on spending and is committed to deficit reduction. This from a man who quadrupled the deficit and added $4 trillion to the national debt in 2 years. Stop taking us for dummies.

6. The United Nations. The serious: It's prepared to move to grant Palestinian statehood in an end-run around Israel. The ridiculous: It's considering granting "rights" to "Mother Earth," including to bugs and plants. Because, after all, bacteria has a right to life (but human babies don't.)

7. Middle Eastern regimes who are killing their own people. Iran, Syria, Bahrain, and Yemen: I'm talking to you. You may not have the U.S. president on your tail the way Muammar Qaddafi does, but you need to stop the killing. On second thought, why would you? You don't have the U.S. president on your tail.

8. Harry Reid. In citing the Pledge of Allegiance, he omits the words "under God." Thanks, Nevada, for inflicting this loser on us for another 6 years.

9. Katie Couric. Stop blaming everybody else for your low ratings and trying to convince us that you were "never a ratings-obsessed person." If your ratings were even halfway decent, you wouldn't be checking out from a $15 million a year gig.

Stop the madness. Stop the spending and the lies and the insults to our intelligence. We're on to all of you.

And as far as this nation being "Under God"? That ended with the election of George Herbert Walker Bush and his senile sock puppet Ronald Wilson Reagan in 1980.

THAT was the end of this nation being "Under God", and becoming "Under GOP Nazism". With some rare fluke excursions like the eight Clinton years since.

One place to begin cutting spending would be to abandon the astronomically sized and staffed palace George W Bush built for an embassy in Baghdad. It's long past time to move the UN out of New York. Boot them and tell them to go to the palace in Baghdad and we'll take payments out of our dues. If we are going to have an embassy there, it can be in a modest place and staffed by dozens not thousands. Tell State Department they will get no private army. Tell Iraq if they want a foreign army there past the time W promised, they can hire Xee or whatever the Blackwater guys are calling themselves these days. Trump may be a bit wild, but he makes sense when he says it is time we start charging countries like Iraq and Kuwait for liberating them.

Basically he was saying that he has to "pay to play" if he wants to get things done.

Levin is not the only tough guy out there either. Savage is as independent as they come, much more so than Levin's close friend, the Wallbanger.

It might be plausible to say that he is side-stepping Levin to avoid these and other tough questions if I hadn't heard him answer just these questions and I think it was on Savage actually.

This bears further investigation.

What we need is the truth.

Until You tell me what Gooper would be better suited to take on the Bamanation I will keep supporting Trump/Bachmann/Palin.

The federal Reserve in printing money? It was the GOP that gave the Reserve the power to control the economy by changing interests rates.And, therefore the ability to print money . Just like it was another Republican that told Nixon to get off the gold standard and create the floating dollar. So, the vlaue of the dollar reclining. Thank the GOP.
I have shown through various links that over the years it was the GOP more than the Dems that have increasd the debt.
That our country did better with higher taxes than lower ones. Those top marginal tax rates links all had the same figures. Since they got their data from the IRS. 1925-1928 25%, 1929 24%. The 1945 -1965 77-91%. 1987 the year of Black monday a severe drop to 38%. 1988-1989 28% We are not much higher than that now during this great recession.
The Republicans want to give themselves and their rich buddies tax cuts. While making the average people pay more. Warren Buffet was right in that regard.
You can tell people anything. Just don't tell them the truth. And, when people benefit from the lie. The last thing they want mentioed is the truth.
On the history channel. They showed how our electric gas and other parts of our infrastrucure are in such bad shape. That we will have more like that huge gas fire near san Francisco. One, city showed has 200 blackouts each year. All this will have to be paid for someday. People have theirs heads buried in the sand too long. It's costing our country to no longer be a super power in the future.

Amazing - a third incident involving night traffic controllers sleeping, and ... with no problems landing! There are airports at night, that actually have no controllers, that activate runway lights from a signal from the airplane.

IF this were education, they would say there should be no air traffic controller left behind, and hire substitutes, backups, councilors, therapists, pharmacists, dietary specialists, physical trainers etc.

But these are ATCs, so they are hiring a second bunch to back up the first in case he/she falls asleep.

I don't think we've paid a penny in foreign aid to China since we started borrowing from them. Taiwan, hell yes. But China? No way.

They haven't needed it. But we do need to pay them back.

And all our foreign debts. Just not the Federal Reserve.

And I've been vocal about that for a long time, UG.

And legally, we owe nothing to the Federal Reserve (a European Bank consortium) because when we set it up to oversee the US's finances and gave it the ability to print our currency, IT WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

It might be plausible to say that he is side-stepping Levin to avoid these and other tough questions if I hadn't heard him answer just these questions and I think it was on Savage actually.

This bears further investigation.

Ummah,

If Trump is supporting schmuck elite because he has to "pay to play," then we'll need to hear more about it. The average Americano probably can understand that and may even know that businesses contribute to D's and R's in order to cover their bases. Trump also goes on about his ability to "bring both parties together" to get things done. Hmmmmmmmm. I can see where Levin's alarm might go off. Exactly what would Trump expect to get done with neocoms?

And what does Trump say about his reported flip flop on entitlement abortion?

Yes, Savage can be tough and incisive, but he doesn't know inside politics and Washington like Levin and Limbaugh do. That's not a major interest of his. He'd rather talk about the Pentateuch and his poodle. He could do philosophy with Trump. Borders, Language and Culture yada-yada, but Levin could do the "inside baseball" that Trump might not want to get into at this time. I doubt that Trump wants to get too specific on what he means by "bringing both sides together." Levin wouldn't hesitate to grill him on things like that.

Well, now: The Arizona Senate has passed a bill that would very likely keep President Obama off the state’s ballot for the 2012 election. The bill still awaits the Arizona House’s approval and the state Governor, but, if passed, would require that each and every presidential candidate have a certified copy of his or her long form birth certificate, including that names of the candidate’s father and mother and enough information to “determine the citizenship of both parents.” Also required: The name of the hospital in which the candidate was born, the name of the attending physician (if there was one) and the signatures of any others who witnessed the birth.
