The White House is like a sinking ship these days, and a lot of rats are taking a dive. In the last month or so, top economic advisers Larry Summers, Christina Romer, and Peter Orszag have all either left or announced their departures. Next up is probably Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who'd like to put his knife-wielding skills to better use as Mayor of Chicago. There have been whispers that other high-level advisers are looking for a way out of the hellhole as well.
Obama's top political strategist, David Axelrod, told Fox News last week that he'd stay on into next year but that "at some point, I'll leave to work on re-elect."
As in: back to the campaign. As if they ever left it.
Re-elect Obama? Even the mere idea of it leaves most Americans exhausted and upset. He has been such an epic disaster on everything from the economy to unemployment to spending to taxes to our foreign policy that most Americans already want a change from the "change" guy.
A new Politico/George Washington University Battleground poll released today shows that only a mere 38% think he deserves re-election. Forty-four percent said they'd definitely vote for someone else, and 13% said they'd at least consider it. Not good for a guy who won just 2 years ago with 53% of the vote. Independents are fleeing from him like he's got bedbugs. Many Democrats just shrug in disappointment.
I'm not entirely convinced that he's going to run again. I don't think he digs the job. But if he does run, Axelrod is going to have his work cut out for him on "re-elect."

If only Monica would tell the whole story. Boy Bush made Boy Bama possible. He paved the way, greased the skids with his incessant bumbling and lack of principles.
At least Boy Bama has principles. They're anything but American principles though.

I think it's just a matter of time before Hillary announces her intentions, and then watch the fireworks!
Who'd have thought that Obama was the best thing to happen to the conservative movement since Reagan?

Fine. So Monica's polls indicate that Americans are finally catching up with what most here pointed out, in various ways, years ago: Beware of a Marxied macdaddy, air-dropped into White House by Wall Street and Corporate Charley's hackstream media.
Enter Republicans. Music. Chairs. Action.
As pointed out here by gringoVision, the GOP, left to its own devices, will never, NEVER even truly repeal Obamacare. Need more evidence? Here's some breaking from REDSTATE.....
However, a recent Hotline poll showed Republican campaign insiders downplaying ObamaCare as an issue. We understand why the Republican consultants are doing this-they think the issue is too controversial and not a slam dunk winner. These are, however, the same “experts” who crowed that PA-12 was a shoe-in and HI-01 unwinnable.
http://www.redstate.com/dryun/2010/09/26/making-obamacare-an-issue-this-fall/
To paraphrase myself, there's only one way to get real action from this GOP bunch: Tea Party America must take them by the scruff of their necks.
Without that kind of action, watch what they don't do.

For one, I hope the Obammer runs again in 2012. He has a poor record to defend. Hillary Clinton is likely a tougher opponent. Let's pray and concentrate on 2010 first. Especially at all levels-local,state, and federal. One of the little discussed area this year is significant conservative gains in county wide races, state houses, and governorships. This grassroots organization will help in 2012.

I heard that the GOP wants to put Mitch McConnel instead of Jim DeMint in charge of mentoring the new Class of MoC getting newly elected to office in November.
Lindsey Lo.. er.. Graham was outspoken against his fellow SC Senator.
Not surprisingly, the DRATs who should be worried about their own rookies - though it looks like they won't have any - called DeMint "polarizing" and demanded that the GOP use an aisle crawler to mentor their newbies.
I can't find any mention of this story online, not even in Rollcall so I how maybe someone here has heard of this.
It would be the usual behavior for these despicable RINOs though, so I am not surprised.
The GOP RINOs is seems, are still looking to maintain control and neutralize US as much as they can!
What does Monica say about this?

I can't speak for Monica, so will have to do with this:
So what if the Goopers don't appoint true conservative Jim DeMint to be Official Mentor for their rookie Senators? Can they stop DeMint and the others from having informal get-togethers and other sessions as they like and as they see fit. Has it gotten Soviet style already? Can Rubio, Christine O'Donnel, Rand Paul, Joe Miller etc be spanked if they meet with De Mint? Can they, or De Mint be forced to go on Obamacare, and lose their Congressional privilege to escape Obamacare, a privilege denied 300 million hoi polloi?

THE NAKED DEMOPUBLICANS
Mass political movements often begin with a single, striking event. The Insurgency began in the fall of 2008, when President Bush, Senator Obama, and Senator McCain appeared together to endorse the TARP bailout. At that moment the lights came on for many Americans. It was glaringly obvious that both political parties jointly operated the system, and the system existed to protect the well connected at the expense of everyone else. The public opposed the TARP bailouts; the banks got their money anyway. The Insurgency, long brewing, began.

AMERICAN REBELLION
For now the Tea Party movement, ignited by Rick Santelli’s “Rant Heard Round the World,” is the dominant component of the Insurgency; Glenn Beck’s gathering of hundreds of thousands of people in Washington, D.C. is another, overlapping one. The people who have gathered around Governor Sarah Palin form yet another part of the Insurgency, as do the libertarian-minded citizens who read blogs like Instapundit. Many of Rush Limbaugh’s, Sean Hannity’s, and Mark Levin’s listeners are part of it. Various long-established conservative groups that have always opposed big government are now parts of the Insurgency.

They're all over Paris and other cities in Europe already.

There is a prophecy that there will be a Black Pope, but there is some lack in clarity of what this means. Some say it would be the end of the Catholic Church, and others possibly the end of the World!
There is also confusion as to whether or not this refers to the Black Pope "Lucifer", or an actual Black man as Pope. Some think it has to be both.

I'm listening to Rudy's book on audio tape and he talks about what a mess NYC was before he took over. He discusses how people did not want to book conventions in NYC because they perceived NYC to be unsafe and because the taxes were so high. By making the city safer and reducing hotel taxes by 1%, he makes the case that he brought in more revenue from increased business than Dinkins who taxed the $%#@ out of everyone.
He also mentions how the squeegee men who extorting drivers by dirting their windshields with their squeegees and than demanding payment. No one knew how to get rid of them, until Rudy said that the police should give them tickets for jaywalking. Turns out these people had priors.

My friend has a girlfriend who is a marathon virgin.
She has never experienced the emotional thrill, and physical exhilaration (I know a woman who is actually a mile virgin with much ahead of her. They are controlled often by irrational fears - that keep them from taking the plunge and crossing over. The time is not right, ... what ifs, etc. In their frigidity, they feel secure.
To get the country back on track... we need a Free Press, and I believe it is coming, and you can look for it because there are reason to believe it is right around the corner- investigatory work where the public can discuss issues before they are already decided and acted upon. Where is the press on politicians regarding a lack of jobs? Fixing the immigration malady? It is missing ... often with a muted apology.
I know one case where a press person wanted to do exactly this, and he has middling deep pockets with some possible investment money for a Press-owned-and operated news channel, but his wife is afraid of the reality of what she thinks is a swarming, minority mob. She should ask herself - do you see cloaked men standing around brandishing knives? No. Certainly not.
