McCain has them standing around without much to say, like he was during the campaign.

One reason for my concern about the US research programs is national security, and at times, I have trouble sleeping thinking about it. First, there is the muslim sharia jihad. There is the Mexican insurgency, and the incursion of the drug cartels. We are being told by racially based factions in the US, that stopping these changes is racism. Even telling Obama's aunt to take an oceanic swim back to Africa.

Our nations future depends on the education of its populace and there is a trust in our academic institutions, that they recognize talent and promote it. Without this it had a negative impact on everything - government, military, private enterprise, innovation, and national security. So although US research is not a large part of the pie, these people swing the economy. In this sector, it is Chinese spying that is a concern. The large number of degrees to Chinese students, being couched as a recognition of talent, is actually a political move - a desire to infiltrate and allow China access to all our national information. Once graduated, they get fast-track citizenship, based on national need and special expertise, that in fact is often as bogus as saying that Mexicans are needed for jobs no one else wants to do. Once they are in, and have fast citizenship, it is racial discrimination to stop them.

These concerns are not radical. It is the people advocating US corruption, or just overlooking it, that are truly radical.

Erick Erickson at REDSTATE reviews GOP's "Pledge to America." 'Worst thing to come out of Washington since General McLellan.;

He is not amused. In fact, you could surmise from his damning critique that he agrees with gringoVision: GOP, left to its own devices, will NEVER truly repeal Obamacare (a form of CaliphCare, actually). Repeal will happen if, and ONLY if, the Tea Party Rebellion grabs the Republicans by the scruff of their Demopublican necks.

http://www.redstate.com/erick/2010/09/22/the-republicans-pledge-is-perhaps-the-most-ridiculous-thing-to-come-out-of-washington-since-george-mcclellan/

Erickson: I will vote Republican in November but I won't carry their stagnant water.

I think my neighbor might be a cannibal. Is there anything I can do about this?

Referring to homosexuals serving openly in the military i saw a GI on tv years ago settle this issue when asked by a tv reporter some years back---"Why not just put everybody in the same barracks using the same showers" he said! Of course, they won't do THAT! Oh NO! And this whole busniness about homo's and being proud to serve in the military---So Effin' what! Do your duty and shut up! The military is not in the business of making sure everyone feels good about themselves and any peculuarities someone might have. There's a whole lot of things the military won't let their personnel do.

ERICKSON/REDSTATE to Republican authors of "The Pledge (Yawn)to America."

"I have one message for John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and the House GOP Leadership: If they do not want to use the GOP to lead, I would like to borrow it for a time."

gringoNOTE: Give them extended R & R at Martha's Vineyard, or country club of choice. "Leader" Boehner, a bloke up from his Dad's tavern in Cincinnatti, who makes nice with everyone and everything, even piranha, is known to have a great appreciation for fine California vintage wines. A perfect foil for the neocom thuggery. Give these Gopers anything, except the pretense of leadership. Palin, whatever her faults, is more of a man than they'll ever be, and Libworld attack machine obviously knows it.

TRUTHER, i would call 'Conquistadors-R-US'. Cannibalism among some native cultures in the newly-'found' Americas was one of their excuses for obliterating them. Should work very well; it did before. cheers and good luck...rick

IF!?, Mullah Obama didn't worry me before (and he did) he's sure got me looking up now. First, that greasy somuvabich Ahmindinejad threatens "war without borders" and THEN, AND THEN! The man who occupies the title and role of C-in-C of our country says, "we can absorb" terrorist attacks. I have always believed the Nation is in great danger with this man at the wheel but he has now surpassed anything said or done before. Would Roosevelt have said, "we can absorb bombing of our cities" during WW Two? Did not JFK draw the sword over missiles in Cuba? Be afraid, people, be very afraid and ACT in Nov...cheers if you can, rick

Rob

Such a wasted opportunity. 6 weeks from the midterm elections, a stronger, bolder statement could have been a momentum-building rally cry that could have kept building into November. This was not the time to come out with exactly what you're expected to say.

It didn't go far enough to state with laser clarity WHY these positions are important. State what Obamacare will really cost and what a disaster it is. Highlight Eric Holder's JOKE of a record.

This could have been a chance to generate some EXCITEMENT about defending every citizen's liberty, freedom, and our way of life.

Maybe next time.

How true! How true!

It really makes one wonder why it is that school district after school district restrict funds meant to go to programs for gifted students, and divert it to kids with "learning disabilities", i.e., kids with low IQ.
If the USA is ever going to get back to greatness, the educational system needs to focus more attention and resources on the smart kids. What's so wrong with steering the slower students into vocations more suited to their innate aptitude? Of course the educational system has been hijacked by racial egalitarians ergo any mention of rating students achievement commensurate with their IQ is the worse sin an academic could commit. It is deemed RACIST! There is no room for honest assesment of student performance. THE TRUTH MUST BE DAMNED!

Stuxnet malware is 'weapon' out to destroy ... Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant?
The Christian Science Monitor

By Mark Clayton Mark Clayton – Tue Sep 21

Cyber security experts say they have identified the world's first known cyber super weapon designed specifically to destroy a real-world target – a factory, a refinery, or just maybe a nuclear power plant.

The cyber worm, called Stuxnet, has been the object of intense study since its detection in June. As more has become known about it, alarm about its capabilities and purpose have grown. Some top cyber security experts now say Stuxnet's arrival heralds something blindingly new: a cyber weapon created to cross from the digital realm to the physical world – to destroy something.

At least one expert who has extensively studied the malicious software, or malware, suggests Stuxnet may have already attacked its target – and that it may have been Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant, which much of the world condemns as a nuclear weapons threat.

The appearance of Stuxnet created a ripple of amazement among computer security experts. Too large, too encrypted, too complex to be immediately understood, it employed amazing new tricks, like taking control of a computer system without the user taking any action or clicking any button other than inserting an infected memory stick. Experts say it took a massive expenditure of time, money, and software engineering talent to identify and exploit such vulnerabilities in industrial control software systems.

Unlike most malware, Stuxnet is not intended to help someone make money or steal proprietary data. Industrial control systems experts now have concluded, after nearly four months spent reverse engineering Stuxnet, that the world faces a new breed of malware that could become a template for attackers wishing to launch digital strikes at physical targets worldwide. Internet link not required.

"Until a few days ago, people did not believe a directed attack like this was possible," Ralph Langner, a German cyber-security researcher, told the Monitor in an interview. He was slated to present his findings at a conference of industrial control system security experts Tuesday in Rockville, Md. "What Stuxnet represents is a future in which people with the funds will be able to buy an attack like this on the black market. This is now a valid concern."

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani today danced around whether he'll endorse GOP gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino, saying "I don't know Carl Paladino and he hasn't called to ask me to endorse him."

Asked if he feels the Republican primary winner has made inappropriate remarks -- as fellow party leaders, such as former Sen. Alfonse D'Amato, has charged -- he said those comments wouldn't necessary block him from an endorsement.

"A decision to endorse him or not would go a lot deeper than whether he made some inappropriate remarks," he said during a conference call with reporters.

Regulating the insurance companies in such a way that they are forced to become, in effect, welfare agencies instead of insurers, is a clever ploy of the the crypto-socialists. When this eventually destroys the insurance companies, as it must, what will be left?....That's right. Single Payer. Big Brother Government.

This is so Machiavellian that not just Democrats are behind it. More and more Republicans are joining in. They are looking ahead to a time when even the ruined once great middle class will be desperate for Socialist Sammy's welfare and Single Payer.

I never heard of Christine O'Donnell on Vet Administration and wanting to leave wounded soldiers to die. Is this just an exercise in heavy-handed slander, or do you have anything to back it up?

If Christine is a foe of the Veteran's Administration, she has a great deal of company among military personnel. If you know anything about the military you would know that many vets consider the Veterans' Administration an abomination. And that's putting it politely, in non-soldier talk.

Nobody yet is looking at what turned Bernard McGuirk, formerly a Catholic choir boy intoning 'Pater Noster,' into a crooner of "Let Barry and Harry Marry."

Bernie, as right hand man of Homophiliac Don Imus, was the one who, previously, got his boss into a great big slop bucket of trouble over the "Nappy-headed ho's" remark. Bernie instigated Imus, leading him into that "trap." Bernie just did it for fun, of course, but we know what happened to Imus after the Reverend Shakedown etc came after him with a switchblade. The Reverend, as we know, used that switchblade to relieve Imus of a certain body part (one of them, that is) which he keeps in a lockbox to this day.

Humiliating? You better believe it.

Now Imus gets his revenge on Bernie. He's made it clear to Bernie in ways they both understand: Get on board, Bernie, or else....

Results: The former Catholic choir boy is now on board, and not down in the basement.

Bernie is paying off his debt to Boss Man.

Notoriety isn't free. Keeping it might be even less free.

OK, Gringoman, leaving wounded soldiers to die may be a bit hyperbolic, but it is sort of a logical result. O'Donnell, Angle and others have talked about privatizing, voucher systems and so on to do away with VA. Most of the complaints about VA that I read seems to be because they are overloaded and too slow.

Surveys seem to show that VA medical care is on par with the best. What I hear from friends personally may be favorably biased because William Beaumont is one of the finest facilities in the system. They complain if they get sent off to Albuquerque or east Texas. Yes, there is the occasional glitch there as such as the recent one about mishandling needles, but stuff happens anywhere.

Walmart and McDonalds can teach us some lessons about what works when you are trying to provide service to a lot of people cheaply. Be very big, be very systematized and eliminate the middle man. Just talk to anybody turning 65 about the problem of trying to find a doctor to see them if they aren't already a patient. I think we have to give George Bush credit for telling the truth when he said our wounded folks get the best medical care in the world. People with the wealth of Ted Kennedy may pick the facility of choice, but it's interesting how many politicians who speak with such horror of socialized medicine don't hesitate to go to a military facility.

The reason Rove and all the establishment types are all in a tizzy about Miller in Alaska and O’Donnell in Delaware etc. is due to the fact big money donors supported Cassel and Murkowski. Simply put: O’Donnell and Miller represent a real threat to the big money donors. The fact is: It's the big money donors who rule the country; they are the power behind the elected officials. If the bought and paid for pols don't sing to the big money donors' songbook, the big money donors will simply withhold any future donations and back their opponent come next election: not to mention the character assassination the ‘renegade’ will be subjected to via the MSM. That explains why 70% of the electorate can be opposed to a certain policies such as Obamacare or Immigration/amnesty, yet their elected leaders govern against their constituencies.

Couple big money donors with a "progressive" MSM and there you have it. The fix is in. It really doesn't matter much whether it's a Dem or Rep that is installed in power, their first and foremost allegiance is to their donors/contributors. There job is to represent and advocate for special interests who bought thier way into power, not the peasants that voted for them.

Money will not get you love, home grown tomatoes, or a sensible organizational plan.

Rush, pointed out on his show that the trouble at CNN, CBS, and MSNBC, is that they cannot tell the truth and make it interesting and captivating. In the end, they move toward celebrity stuff - like people's magazine and we totally lose the feedback from the media we need to be good citizens.

Some people are actually cynical and say people want a dream, and prefer non-reality. Could that be true?

Truther,
That is what we now have, but I prefer to call it a nightmare.

A lot of what I hear about the Veteran's Administration, Borderbriar, comes from someone with a lot of experience with it. He's not a fan,to put it mildly, but he is a veteran of three combat tours in Vietnam.

As for whether the VA is "socialism," that's an interesting question, and it's true that many anti-socialist politicans seem to be fine with the Government's VA. From what you indicate, however, Christine O'Donnell is not one of them. Sounds like she's asking whether privatizing would make sense.

Is that a question not to be discussed seriously? Or should it just be a political football, ready to be tossed by those who do not want anyone to look at it seriously and dispassionately.

I support Christine O'Donnell, the "witch" against the "bearded Marxist." If anybody, either from Dem Talking Points, or a sincere independent, has anything of substance to show that "she wants to leave wounded soldiers to die", let them post it here.

As for whether the VA is "socialism," I suspect that most anti-socialists don't think so. Why? Their standards differ from socialist homogenization. They draw a distinction between (a) supporting those who served the nation and (b) welfare for those who only take from the nation.

These two views conflict. They're probably irreconcilable.

Ummah,

You remember all the mishygosh when Palin supported McCain in the AZ primary. You remember how I suggested that 'conservatives' chill it. Why did I do that? Why did I take some flak for it, though not nearly as much as Palin did?

Libworld's hysteria over Palin is one obvious reason. Libworld knows what it must fear. For another example why, anyone can click the link you just posted. That ought to clarify it a bit. Palin is not really bending to Libworld even on Islam and its Obama connection. That upsets Republicans too. House of Bush will be nervous. The gal is unapologetically Christian too. How can Libworld even stand it?

If anyone wants to know why Government services are so fu*ked up, all you need to know is how affirmative action degraded them.

It's too bad there aren't any Republicans with enough spine to proclaim that fact. Therefore, we'll continue to slide into third-worldism.

Hint: Privatizing will NOT reverse the course. It will only shift the taxpayers money to other parties.

or,

It will only shift the taxpayers money into other PC institutions' pockets.

Ummah, I took the time to pay attention to that video and was impressed by how fabulous Palin looked. She also conducted herself impressively, yes, a bit more 'Presidential.' I still would like to see her slow down on the talking speed, but that's probably media pressure to some degree. As the interview went on, she seemed to get better on that too. She is obviously feeling great up in Alaska, and possibly even internalizing some of the majesty of nature up there.

She had a bit of a queenly aura this time, I thought. Americans won't mind that because it's so balanced by a tremendous common touch. I'm seeing some of the "development" I've been looking for. All that money and fame hasn't gone to her head because she's very solidly rooted in home, family and "the last frontier," Alaska

Be afraid,Libworld and your hacks. Be very afraid.
