BILL MAHER////On Sarah Palin and the “Birther” movement: the conservative attack that claims that President Obama is not an American citizen, Maher said, “I’ll show you Obama’s birth certificate when you show me Sarah Palin’s high school diploma.”
gV////Yo, Bill, it's about 'natural born citizen.' Funny document called The Constitution. Okay, I'll show you Sarah's high school diploma when you prove you can read it.

If Palin was willing to do that for Mocker's ratings, he'd have to respond in either one of two ways. First, the in-studio option.
1. On camera he does a perfect smirk and says, "Why is Palin bothering us with her forgery?"
Option #2. Trying integrity, he crawls over the White House lawn, dodging the earthworms, gropes his way up the steps and into the Oval Office, prostrates himself some more, and begs the Bama to put up or....
Which option would Mocker choose?

"I think it's a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records -- all of that is fair game," Palin said. "The McCain-Palin campaign didn't do a good enough job in that area."

And effectively. In those few words she is actually blasting McCain's team for not going after Obama during Election 2008. But she's doing it coolly, in passing, and without shouting or raising her voice even a bit, or burning any bridge to McCain. She's speaking truth to Beltway power, but in such a way that she doesn't personally antagonize McCain himself. McCain, no matter what anyone thinks of him, still matters in national politics. And he's been speaking well of Palin, while not going crazy for her or against her, keeping his own options open. Palin knows she has to be herself and truthful. At the same time she knows she's on a national stage now where every word out of her mouth will be scrutinized. She knows that Mondo Lib is losing sleep, looking for a way to annihilate her.
Sounds like the "homespun" Mom has some idea of what she's doing in the Big Time.
ps Mark Levin, Constitutional attorney who also likes Sarah Palin and has sold one million copies of a serious scholarly book on the Constitution, is making an issue tonight, on his ABC Radio talk show, of The Bama's birth certificate. "Where is it"? Liberals won't find it easy to dismiss Levin as a "birther." They'd have to feel unusually brave even to try..

I hope Sister Sarah does expose Obama's birth issue problem. She would be merely setting the stage for her own termination by Schwarzenegger in the primary as the Democrats scramble to change the Constitution, rolling out the red carpet.

I understand and completely agree, Gringoman. Palin smartly delivered the inconvenient truth in measured way. She went as far as she knew she could without crossing the line into the area of bad taste. Sarah's instincts serve her well. In her honest yet sophisticated manner, she brought the fatal mistakes made by the McCain campaign to the fore. Now it's the job of conservative commentators and pundits to amplify her revelations and broadcast them loudly and incessantly.

The Last Man Standing - interesting read...
Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the Netherlands , at the Four Seasons, New York , introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem .
(QUOTE)
Dear friends,
Thank you very much for inviting me.
I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe . This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West.. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe .
First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe . Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem ..
The Europe you know is changing.
You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.
All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fa natics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.
There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe . With larger congregations than there are inchurches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.
Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden . In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.
In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.
Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam ga ys are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.
In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin . The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.
In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan.
Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II.. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya , Israel . I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.
A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe . San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.
Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire t o assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France . One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.
The Christian-Democratic attorney general is will ing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .
Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots.. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.
Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.
&n bsp;
The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.
Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.
Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of &nbs p;times. I support Israel . First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.
This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines , Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan , Lebanon , and Aceh in Indonesia . Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.
The war against Israel is not a war against Israel . It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.
Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel , they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve t he heritage of Rome , Athens and Jerusalem .
Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe , American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.
We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

I didn't hear that from Savage, but if it's accurate, it hints at a possible sea change in his view of Sarah Palin, who he has previously dismissed as much as any of the libniki have dismissed her. It would indicate that Savage, despite his Ph.D. and intellectual credentials, may be catching up with the "un-educated heartland." i.e. re its deeply instinctive attraction to the Hunter Mom from Jack London's 'Call of the Wild' country.

It's quite obvious that we need to do use air power to combat this. Oh and the liberal media will HOWL in rage about the "poor civilians" just like they did when we blew up that tanker truck.
In Germany it's even worse, the minister of defense caved to the left and Lt. Klein's calling in air support from the Americans as "disproportionate" while the left want full-fledged "investigations".
My guess is these "civilians" near the truck in the middle of the night weren't such "civilians" after all.
Everyone knows it. The German left is smelling blood and trying to use this as a wedge against military cooperation.
Likewise, the American left. The American public is doing a better job in standing up to their left than the German public or things would be just as bad over here.
What this Lt. was concerned about was the enemy rigging a full tanker truck for a suicide mission against German encampments a mere 6 km away from the bridge where this tanker was stuck.
The international Left values enemy lives higher than Western lives.
Plain and simple.

AS O'REILLY SNUBS THE 'BIRTHERS'
A commenter replies
Bill: Please contact Stephen. Check out the thread on Politics entitled Constitution and Birth Certificate. If you respond to all of the issues surrounding the constitutional questions, I may be able to finally let this go however, the mere facts(?) that 2 newspapers have the same announcement and there is a birth certificate is not sufficient evidence (for me) of BHO's constitutional eligibility for the office. You never, to the best of my knowledge, ever addressed the other aspects of the question such as the fact that his father was a British citizen. You call all of us 'birthers' and perhaps 'loons' but I feel that most of us have a healthy curiosity about this constitutional question. So, Mr. Former History Teacher - teach us, please. I challenge you (and others here may too) to announce that you will produce a top ten list (to borrow from Letterman) of the myths surrounding this issue and why they are myths. And please - we are not, repeat not, talking about him being born in Hawaii! Talk to Stephen. Better still, put him on The Factor! Thanks - I think.

The Islamization of the West is only the symptom of the disease. The cause is massive immigration from third-world countries into Western ones. We need to eradicate the source of the disease before we can be cured.
We MUST STOP those that engineered the race-replacement of native European in their own countries. This can be reversed if we can eliminate, the source of the problem. The source is those in the top echelons of government and corporations. They are the one's whom lobbying for, and implement immigration policies.
Know this: Massive Muslim and non-white immigration into white nations, plus time, equals the eventual genocide of that targeted nation. Instead of using concentration camps an gas chambers, they are employing a more insidious method to accomplish their goals. Immigration is their means, race-replacement of the native population is the end result.
Take Israel for example. When Ahmadinejad said he wanted to see Israel wiped from the map, everyone took that statement to mean he wanted to nuke Tel Aviv. That is NOT what he meant. He wants to erase Israel's borders and let demographics take its course. We all know how many kids Palestinian women bear. It would only be a matter of time before the Jewish population in Israel would become dispossessed. Well, that exact thing is happening all across Europe, and soon it will become evident that its happening in the good old USA. They say "It can't happen here." I say, don't be too sure about that. It IS happening as we speak.

For an answer, we need to take a look at today's ruling class in the West, its corporate/socialist media and its "Best and Brightest" mandarins.

I am wondering.. what are our OBJECTIVES in staying in Iraq and Afghanistan. Do we still think that islam and Democracy are in any way compatible?
What we need to do, if we are to meaningfully install Democracy in these places, is to de-islamify them all.
What I see happening instead is that their minions in Europe and America are de-Democratizing US.
Since we are presently unprepared to deal with either, we should retain bases, and that includes AIR POWER, both manned and unmanned. This to root out any terrorist bases and training camps wherever they are found and their personnel of course, and that includes in public places and their homes.
We could send three million troops. As long as we refuse to understand the enemy and what motivates it, plus RELEASE our forces from the PC bondage under which they are mandated to operate, we cannot possibly meet with success.
I define success in a full stop of terror attacks, both domestic and abroad.
I don't give rat's behind if they become democratically-inclined over there. Who are we to tell them what to do?
All I want is that they DO IT OVER THERE, and not here.

Uh, sorry to disappoint, M/M, but I don't like golf at all. I don't think it's a real sport like the various permutations of Football, Rugby, Baseball, Basketball and so on.

I had to break away to call my friend and HE WAS LISTENING to Monica. (Monica was interviewing John Staussel about his new Libertarian show on Fox and he sounded more like a liberal, so decided to do something else.)
I'm not into golf but I enjoy the big tournaments, especially the Masters. I love the tradition of Augusta National, and the beauty of the golf course. I also found the very end of the tournament is the most exciting because there is usually one guy who has a gripping story and you really want him to win. Phil Mickelson is a good example.

Hey Monica
I write a very conservative blog at www.donottreadonus.wordpress.com which is reaching more people daily mostly due to leg work on my part. I really would like you to read my posts(there are currently 69) and comment if you would. It would be most appreciated and I thank you.

We MUST STOP those that engineered the race-replacement of native European in their own countries. This can be reversed if we can eliminate, the source of the problem. The source is those in the top echelons of government and corporations. They are the one's whom lobbying for, and implement immigration policies.

The effect all this is indeed what DJ describes above. Question is, why would these "upper echelons", many of whom are white, not all of whom are lefty self-hating lunatics, want to do this?
Are there other factors in play besides ethnic replacement? Maybe they went too far in their greed to import "cheap labor" and now they don't see what they can do to "stem the tide" without enormous cost?
Not that I believe that it's better to let things continue as they are.
But we must get a clearer, more differentiated picture of why they are doing this, rather than assume we already have the answers.
I am still perplexed and shocked at these self-destructive policies and I still wonder what makes them do it.
Not that DJ's suggestion is too abstruse, given lack of other plausible explanations. I don't think we can chalk it all up the the "upper echelon's" desire for cheap lawn and child care.
This continued Third-Worldization can also affect the progeny of the "upper echelons" and we all know that the elites from other countries keep sending their own offspring to Europe and North America.
It seems utterly bizarre why our very own 'elites" and those from foreign countries would chop off the hand that feeds them, and has protected them for so long.
Why are they messing with what's been working so well?
it is abundantly clear that they are doing all of this in open spite of the will of their peoples. The recent ban on minarets in Switzerland is a clear vote for LESS Third World in al Western Countries!

Ha, ha, ER. Thanks for thinking of me. Kudos for reading Gwen Awful's book. Can't stand that woman, simply because she seems like SUCH a stiff. No sense of humor at all.
I was listening to Imus interview the liberal historian, Doris Kearns Goodwin, a few months ago and SHE WAS actually funny. She was confident enough in herself to actually sing on his radio program and joke. The sophisticated and classy author, Mary Higgins Clark, is another woman who demonstrated that she does not have to hide behind "political correctness" after "Gangsta Mickey" offered to tie her up in dental floss.
Haven't had a chance to read Gov. Palin's book yet, but I looked at it in Walmart's and I did think it looked interesting. It isnt' the book, it is the "Palin phenonoma" that we like. While Gwen Awful cries victim, even Michael Savage has to admit that Sarah Palin is "the type of woman who can change the tire on a tractor, by herself, in a snow storm."

I don't give rat's behind if they become democratically-inclined over there. Who are we to tell them what to do?
All I want is that they DO IT OVER THERE, and not here.

What EXACTLY does the U.N. do? All the libs look to the U.N. but they should be apologizing FOR the U.N. Look at what is happening in Darfur and other parts of the world. What is the U.N. doing to stop it?
The Taliban looked like a problem waiting to happen BEFORE 9/11. I'd just love to take them out. I didn't agree with Iraq, but once there I think we need to stay to stablize the country. When 41 withdrew during the first Gulf War, Saddam really slaughtered a lot of people for rising up. Here is one example of what happened when the U.S. withdrew its support.

There is so much ancient history in that part of the world. This place will never be the way it was before Saddam destoyed it. The Twin Buddahs stood hundreds of years before the Taliban destroyed them.

What they could do with a nuclear bomb, like the one they have in neighboring Pakistan or the one they are developing in neighboring Iran.

Nuke Israel and themselves in retaliation off the face of the map?
Sounds like EXACTLY the solution to the worlds' greatest problems.
Got a snail mail addie in Iran where I can send the nukes, gift-wrapped for my birthday?
Oh, that's right. Since I gave the answer to peace long ago, I don't get involved in fixing the planet.
Until I'm FORCED.

You mean like when Saddam Shock and Awe'd Baghdad for 30 straight hours? Like that?
You mean the way the troops stood aside under orders and let the museum be looted? You mean the way some of them looted antiquities themselves? You mean like that?

"The Twin Buddahs stood hundreds of years before the Taliban destroyed them."

Try centuries, millennia, genius.
And Rove and his religious right wingnuts would have blown them up in year one of their reign... to "SAVE" them.
Get it straight. The Taliban's greatest sin was refusing to poison the world with opium and stopping the heroin poppy crop, source of the CIA'S black op funding.
And why more must die to insure Obama's CIA poppy crop.
You KNOW you're on the wrong side when your side is fighting to keep illegal drug trade going strong and the other side is resisting on RELIGIOUS grounds.

M/M, I am fully aware what damage a nuke could do and that it's far too easy for Taliban types to get them.
What I was saying is we need to either sh*t or get off the pot.
IE. NO MORE RESTRICTIVE ROE and court-martials for our troops!
PLUS the proper equipment and that issn;t just bullet-proof vests and machine guns that fire without a hiccup either. I want MEANINGFUL air support and use of other advanced weaponry.
And I do NOT want the word of a terrorist to get our troops to get court-martialed, above all.
Plus we need to STATE our OBJECTIVE instead of the wishy-washy feel-good Koombaya crap we are hearing right now.
AND like I said earlier, I am all for keeping "bases all over the bad places", just in case something needs to be taken out in a jiffy.
All I am saying is that I am against this wishy-washy bullsh*t which is going to get OUR people killed while achieving nothing but run up the body count and the deficit, both on our side.
Sorry if I don't are what happens to THEM. They're adults and need to work it out on their own.
All I want is to ensure that whatever they do won't harm US.

M/M, while avoiding the static, I totally agree - and have mentioned these atrocities before - that the Taliban destruction of the Buddhist statues is a Crime against Humanity.
Where were all the Buddhists looting and rioting in the streets, demanding apologies, declaring war on islam?!
And why does our feckless media FAIL to question the Bama on his opinion and how all this jibes with the "great religion" of islam?
And when he gives the expected answer, do they have the necessary follow-up questions ready?

Good luck with the p.c. stuff UG.
You guys HAVE to watch "Mad Men". That show is brilliant.

At one point I did not like Monica's thinking. However, after looking at her background, she is no big mouth. She has done her homework and has a real point of view. Often, the right has a lot of people reading of some form of playbook. Pat and Clarence are always excellent. John and Eleanor are simply outstanding. Mort is always right about any subject. I trust him. I have watched this program for I think over 35 years. Great Job...
