INDIA BUYS GOLD – [Socialist, gV] UK BUYS BANKS
November 3rd, 2009 by Egon von Greyerz, GoldSwitzerland

India, like China, understands the virtues of gold. This is why they have snapped up 200 tons of gold from the IMF at around $1,045 per ounce or $6.7 billion. The UK does not understand gold, that is why [Socialist]Gordon Brown sold most of the nation’s gold in 1999 at virtually the low of $250.

Instead the UK has today spent $51 billion on propping up bankrupt banks. Royal Bank of Scotland received another $41 billion today making it the costliest bailout worldwide with a total of $75 billion. Lloyds Bank received another $10 billion. The US is of course also spending printed money on rescuing bank creditors with 115 bank failures so far in 2009.

Bankruptcy Filings to Match Divorce Filings in 2009: 1.5 Million. 35.8 Million Americans on Food Stamps - 11 Percent of the Population. The 5 Indicators of the Misery Index.

* Posted by mybudget360 in Employment, bankruptcy, banks, chapter 7, credit cards, debt, economy, food stamps, foreclosure, recession

It is a sobering fact that in 2009, there will be as many people filing for bankruptcy as those filing for a divorce. We are on track to seeing an average of nearly 5,900 bankruptcy filings a day for 2009. While some people use the stock market as their barometer of economic recovery, there are a few other “misery” indicators that show things are still bad for millions of Americans and counter the recovery talks. If you want to track a broader recovery, I would recommend people examine the five indicators of the misery index. Food stamps, bankruptcies, long-term unemployed, foreclosures, and credit card defaults are probably your best gauges to the real economic recovery.

Re the two Gubernatorials. If Christie wins in NJ, after Republican already won big in Virginia,(both States that swooned for Obama "hope and change" in 2008) this is a solid blow to the Obamanation gut, and possibly even to the 2000 page behemoth of Bampirecare

On the other hand, if Doug Hoffman loses in the NY 23 Congressional, it is clearly also a loss for Sarah Palin, who put herself out there for the conservative Hoffman, and led other Republican names to do the same.

Yabba-Dabba Dede Now Misleading The Press

RIEHL WORLD////Via TPM, it appears as though Dede (GOP Droppings) Scozzafava is now lying to the press. Or, it could be TPM is making things up. It's always so hard to know who the liar is when there is more than one progressive involved.

Scozzafava: No Republicans Bothered To Call Me After I Dropped Out

Dede Scozzafava, the New York state Assemblywoman and former Republican candidate in the NY-23 special election, told the Syracuse Post-Standard about her experience in withdrawing from the race and endorsing Democrat Bill Owens -- and decried the national conservative activists who mobilized against her and in favor of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman.

In an on the record exchange with 2008 Romney Delegate Michael Patrick Leahy R-TN, now of TCOTReport, he tried to call Dede repeatedly on Saturday and Sunday and left her two messages which were never returned. Point being, what Dede really means is, the guys writing me big checks disappeared and like a fraudulent welfare queen she's ticked off because the well ran dry when people found out the truth about her.

Time for Yabba dabba Dede to crawl back under the rock with the rest of her progressive friends in the Democrat Party. Her fifteen minutes are almost up and she doesn't do well in the light of day. She kind of looks like a mushroom now that I think of it. If she had any character she would have taken Leahy's calls and had a frank chat. But, hey she's a progressive. Why should she be held accountable for anything she does?

Gringo. What have we learned from this little Hoffman debacle?

1. The overwhelming majority of Americans in this Great country don't buy you AND your endless war anymore. They want peace, and the troops home, NOW. They see through the BS and are tired of making four Offense Contractor Corporations filthy blood-drenched rich at the expense of American lives.

2. At the same time, they want SECULAR fiscal conservatism, NOT religious extremism.

If you can figure that out, and pick your candidates based on THAT criteria, you CAN beat Obama and the Democrats.

If not, then fail. Again. And again.

Until you do learn.
