"A group of people within the USA that harbor such annimus towards their own President that even his selection of TV interviews is subject to their scorn and derision."
--
Could it be there is a majority of people in the USA that are repulsed by the statist direction this country has been traveling in? IMHO, it is statist policies -- proposed and those already enacted -- that are getting people all charged-up. The 'current' President is functioning as the lightning rod.

Buchanan, right on as occasionally usual about the missile shield.
But I have to hand it to you Warrior Princess... you're the only person in the world who could even HALFWAY convince me otherwise. And you almost did.
But all I can say to your excellent thought-out response: "Blessed are the peacemakers." Maybe instead of dividing eastern Europe from Russia, we need to do things that encourage peace?
Just asking.
That said and done, if only Obama's CIA means what this (missile shield redirection and peacemaking) implies and it's not another feint in a long line of feints.
If.

In this context, Poland is being offered not for its own security, but as a foil for a domestic politics squabble.

I realize that YOU LIEberals are incapable of EMPATHIZING with the Poles, so let me explain.
Poland has been a LOYAL ally to the U.S. since 9/11. Our troops fight and DIE alongside ours in Afghanistan and Iraq and this is how we reward them?
Poland and the Czech Republic didn't want the missiles, but the U.S. convinced them that we would stand by them if they took the missiles, even though the missiles would put them at risk. In April, even Obama agreed to this plan.
Obama HUMILIATED Poland by telling them the plan had changed on the 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INVASION OF POLAND. He sold a LOYAL ally to Putin, for what?

A chance at world peace. Sounds like a good deal to me.
P.S. No one sold Poland to Putin. As if. Putin is not that stupid.

The One's poll numbers now crashing down to Earth (and soon maybe lower than that), Obots in trouble, the trolls now return (except for the original Slimey).
Have you noticed?

Gringo --
Do you think you are on to something? Maybe the liberals have gotten together to try to take over the world, using Monica's blog as a springboard!
I just came back 'cuz I felt like it, Gringo. Mkay? I always knew Obama's popularity would go down after inauguration. I probably said so here back when he was elected, but I'm not going to hunt through old postings.

Both Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Shroeder verbally assaulted them, but they stood fast making their intentions completely clear to the EU: Poland and the USA would fight common enemies shoulder to shoulder. -M/M

The exact same thing could be said of Palau.

The ineffectual "intellectual" Pill Weirdeen should really know better than to mispell "hear hear". Hmmm.. oh well.. I am NOT surprised for one.

The X-whacko definitely lives in a world all of its own.. unfortunately for us that planet SOROSWORLD threatens all logical-thinking intelligent life on Earth..
He DID sell Poland and the Czech Republic OUT... They supported the missile defense shield, which incidentally also would have protected Germany, Denmark, France, England and so on.. only to be smacked right across their faces.. and SOLD ON DOWN THE RIVER VOLGA... LIKE YESTERDAY'S GARBAGE.
SHAME ON THIS DISLOYAL "NEW" ADMINISTRATION!

FreaKKK.. thought you ARE annoying as F*CK I have to agree that u never said u would leave this board.
As much as I'd be glad to be rid of you like one is glad to swat an annoying gnat that keeps seeing to suck one's blood.. You haven't made any promises that you later broke.
As much as I find your every word foul, you are still a man of it.
This cannot be said for the welching Ovari.
Think carefully when such "men" try to associate with you.. sway you with agreeable words.. for they are nothing but lawyers, who have no true convictions, but rather playing the field for what they perceive to be the opinion-du-jour, in their vain effort to never be left out of what is going on at the moment.
Of course, you lefties know how to play these aisle-crossing "conservatives" like the cheap fiddles they are.. eh Fred.. WINK. ;-)
A fiddle made of such pliable wood is a crap fiddle indeed.. certainly not worthy of being called a violin.. for the wood that produces the sweetest, purest tone is made form far sterner, uncompromising stuff.
