Suggested topic for TMG:
Where were the MSM---Mainstream So-Called Media--- on ACORN? Why did it take two crackerjack kids on a $1300 budget to scoop the Expose of the Decade while Charlie, Katie and Brian etc were sucking their million-dollar thumbs?
Posted by: gringoman | September 18, 2009 at 08:44 PM
Incidentally, while Michael Savage has been slipping of late, he was back in top form tonight, interviewing the Man Behind the ACORN blow-up: ANDREW BREITBART. He made it all possible for the fabulous 20-year old Giles girl as the ho', and the 25-year old O'Keefe who wore the furry pimp garment over his blazer.
He got Breitbart to explain how the Resistance (to LibWorld) is now taking a sacred text of Obots and the Left, Saul Alinsky's RULES FOR RADICALS. Real conservatives (which would exclude 99% of golf course and Lifer Republicans) are taking Alinsky and ramming him down Lefty's cocky throat.
The full Alinsky (as opposed to a Lewinsky)when used by Lefty, Inc, demands: (1) isolate the anti-socialist (2)attack, attack, attack the anti-socialist (3) keep the anti-socialist on the defensive.
The technique, of course, works very well on Republicans, with support from the Alinsky/corporate media. Even here at monicamemo, aggressive trolls feel they'll have easy pickings. They're safe from The Boot. Monica can't be Big Nurse, so there's an open house. Any neo-com dirtbag who can read Alinsky in English can figure that out, even if he didn't already learn it at Shyster Evening School.
Breitbart understands that too.

Monica, here's another suggestion for TMG, if they can't find time for the kids who scooped the world on ACORN: Compare Columbia, as you knew it, with....
THE NEW CAMPUS, USA:
Freshman Danmell Ndonye, 18, admits she made up the story about being raped by five men, including Stalin Felipe, 19, on Hofstra Campus. Force was not used, the video cam now makes clear. Used condoms were found near the campus washroom.
Danmell explained why she lied. She didn't want her boyfriend to think she was a slut.

gringoNOTE: Any guesses on the race of what appears to be the lab technician wretch who murdered this young Asian woman at Yale. (This is not for the liberal racists or any smarmy progressive who will ask, 'Why bring in race, you racist?' These are the same clowns who have got things so insanely dumbed down that the news reports cannot even mention color in cases of a murderer on the loose who has been spotted and is extremely dangerous. Even honest reporters (there are some) have to fear being prosecuted by the liberals for 'racial profiling,')
My guess: The murderer definitely was not black. I THINK HE WAS NOT WHITE EITHER, although I could be wrong on this. Most likely, he is ethnically Asian. Second most likely, hispanic or Latino. But let's see. I'm not often wrong,of course, but it can happen.__GRINGOMAN SEPTEMBER 15th
THEN ON SEPTEMBER 17th it's like September 15th never happened:
Thanks. The shrink makes some good points. HE CLEARLY BEARS OUT WHAT I'M STRESSING (without the degree)IN ANOTHER POST HERE. (1) SINCE WE NOW KNOW (which we didn't earlier) THAT THIS YOUNG WHITE GUY IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS REALLY WORKING AROUND HER, IT PRACTICALLY HAD TO BE HIM. Incidentally, if there HAD been a young Asian, especially a fellow Vietnamese working around her, yes, he could have felt extremely rejected, even compounded by the thought of her marrying a Caucasian and thereby being a "race traitor." (This is not for Libs, M/M, as these idiots can't even conceive that people everywhere actually can think like this.)(2), especially in a society where the "free weeklies" are full of pictures of "Asian massage babes." The Village Voice has been an archetype for this
liberal smut.
Posted by: gringoman | September 17, 2009 at 10:33 AM
BTW, note that if an ASIAN male worked near MS LE according to GRINGOMAN this asian male would view her as a race traitor... an insight only into the mind of the theorist lest the murder rate among asian fiancees in inter-racial relationships would be quite staggering indeed!!
Reporters, according to Gringoman, were "so dumbed down" because they didn't report the racial profile of the suspect(s). In hindsight that was a very wise move as there were no facts beyond Gringospeak to indicate that a racial component to the crime at the time their reports were published.
The howler however is Gringoman annointing himself as the mentor to a shrink:
" The shrink also brought out my point which must be obvious to everyone except libs with their mush about "racial theories": White males, especially the inexperienced and adolescent, will tend to fantasize about Asian females"
So praytell, why do inexperienced white males look for love in the far-east? According to Gringoman it is because of the local newspaper:
".., especially in a society where the "free weeklies" are full of pictures of "Asian massage babes." The Village Voice has been an archetype for this
liberal smut."
White ladies, skip the perfume. Learn massage and get your face in the newspapers!
Even here at Monicamemo, aggressive liars feel they'll have easy pickings. They are safe from any accountability. Monica can't be the Asian Nurse, so there is an open house. Any racist liar who can post one thing one day and the opposite the next can figure out that it okay to bamboozle your readership, even while pretending to possess special knowledge, which you do not.
Gringoman understands that.

The lobby is a government outside the actual government, consisting of former politicians the people voted out of office who are often senior to the actual Congressmen, with contacts and influence capable of overwhelming a junior Congressman. Does this mean these lobbyists are directly thwarting the "will of the electorate" ? It certainly explains why the Dick Gephardt, representing Goldman Sachs, can outwardly harass and threaten sitting Congress members.

Michael Savage was not that great. Hannity and Beck have been interviewing Andrew Breitbart for days, and Andrew Bretbart didn’t have to krrp them on topic the way he did with “Whiner”. I was extremely impressed by Hannity’s interview with Hannah Giles, the girl who plays the prostitutes in the ACORN video. Although only 20, she wanted to do this because she wanted to do something for her country and for the children she will have.
I can’t possibly paraphrase Hannah Giles as eloquently as she spoke, but she was quite an inspiratation. She reminded me of Julian Kulski, the speaker at the March on Washington who fought the Nazis as a teenager, and Irena Sendler, the Polish nurse who saved 2500 Jewish children from Nazi concentration camps.

"The timing of the announcement, coupled with a NATO offer to include Russia in future missile defense plans, has left Eastern Europe very worried.
Obama soon meets Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, so the timing hints the U.S. was working to appease Russia.
Lech Walesa noted: “The Americans only cared about their interests. They used everybody else … It wasn’t that the shield was that important, but it’s about … the way of treating us.”

“When Mr. Obama, eager to "reset" relations with Russia, decided to abandon arrangements carefully worked out by the previous administration to base missile defense sites in the Czech Republic and Poland, he dropped amends the size of the H-bomb. Surprise was so important he only told the Czechs and Poles about it in a midnight telephone call so they wouldn't read about it first in the morning papers.
Then, while the Czechs and Poles were marinating in the bitter juices of double-cross and humiliation, the president made the official announcement on the 70th anniversary of the Russian invasion of eastern Poland, the first fruit of the infamous Hitler-Stalin pact of 1939. To be fair, Mr. Obama may not have been aware of the history - important to the Poles, but to a community activist from Chicago, not so much. This president is about sweet talk, not history. Maybe the young president-to-be was home with a tummy ache the day his high-school history class learned about World War II, the Cold War that followed, why that history is so important to the Poles, or why Americans revere Winston Churchill, or the fact that America is made up of only 50 (not 57) states. You can miss a lot by playing hooky. “
AND
"This is bad news for all who care about the U.S. commitment to the trans-Atlantic alliance and the defense of Europe," observes Nile Gardiner in the London Daily Telegraph. "It represents the appalling appeasement of Russian aggression and a willingness to sacrifice American allies on the altar of political expedience."
The decision, he writes, "sends a clear message that even Washington can be intimidated by the Russian bear."

The problem with a troll like Alinsky Jr., or in this case P Wedeen, Son of Slimebert, his predecessor, the former legal twaddler here:
The smarmy ideo-t doesn't seem to know how transparent he is as he tries the shyster technique of spinning and misrepresenting what others say and mean. Like a little piranha in the murky Amazon River, he thrashes around, trying to flash scissor teeth, without a clue that his whole shtick has been caught on video tape.
Why would he lead a life of slime? It must reflect on the mentality of Marxist missionaries. They obviously don't agree with those who say Slime does not pay.

HARLEM PREACHER: "OBAMA'S A LONG-LEGGED MACDADDY"
"... My guess: There will be a new sermon, soon, from Harlem's Reverend James Davis Manning." ( --Gringoman)
For those who've read Gringoman's comment and aren't familiar with Reverend Dr Manning, here is an introduction:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_aIvfFq3BA&feature=related
Posted by: DJ | September 17, 2009 at 10:21 PM
"White people got to stop walking on eggshells around black people."
In this video the Reverend James David Manning explains why whites, for the sake of whites AND blacks AND honest dialogue, have to start talking back to blacks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_aIv...eature=related
DJ,
That Manning video is very good. But one thing it doesn't deal with is the ploy of White Lefty (as we see by the trolls here.) The little Marxlings would panic if whites get off the eggshells which the leftniki have deliberately got them walking. Whites talking to blacks as true equals (which obviously means fully accountable, unlike the current Double Standard charade) would be a nightmare for the profoundly racist neo-coms. Honest dialogue would threaten their neo-plantation and Stalinist double standard. If they let blacks function like everybody else---on the merits and without the blatant patronizing---even P. Wedeen would have to face reality without his liberal race card. The horror, the horror! What would Poppy Marx's little Bright Boy do then? Settle in Cuba with the blacks who couldn't escape, living under "anti-racist" Commandante Castro's white junta?
Lefty's race racketeering and his liberal racist swill is coming to a crisis. The dumb-bells just don't know it yet. The deceptively "post-racial" Obot Regime can be viewed as the boil, festering so blatantly and publicly with Obama's ACORN, almost begging to be lanced. As this develops, you will even see some Republicans regaining their manhood. (Even Don Imus might eventually get there.)

ACORNOBAMA
from Republican National Lawyers Association////Here’s what Obama’s own campaign Web site said about Obama and ACORN’s relationship: When Obama met with ACORN leaders in November, he reminded them of his history with ACORN and his beginnings in Illinois as a Project Vote organizer, a nonprofit focused on voter rights and education. Senator Obama said, "I come out of a grass-roots organizing background. That's what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. That's the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it. I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

I do not know if it is me, but the Rembrandt on sale appears to resemble John Beloushi. They are asking $41 million for this. Well, they can wait 50 more years to sell it, or try to get the Chinese to pay for it and before that get Lloyds to them a loan to buy it. They can go to see it and practice pronouncing their "R"s.

RUSH: President Barack Obama is fulfilling something I knew was going to happen. Part of his view that this country is unjust and immoral, he has abandoned Poland and has abandoned the Czech Republic. On September 17th, 2009, the president of the United States made this announcement.
OBAMA: We will continue to work cooperatively with our close friends and allies, the Czech Republic and Poland who had agreed to host elements of the previous program. I've spoken to the prime ministers of both the Czech Republic and Poland about this decision and reaffirmed our deep and close ties. Together we are committed to a broad range of cooperative efforts to strengthen our collective defense and we are bound by the solemn commitment of NATO's Article 5 that an attack on one is an attack on all.
RUSH: That's absolute BS. He's canceling the missile shield in Europe to protect these emerging democracies from Russia. He got in bed with Putin; he got in bed with the KGB; got in bed with Medvedev, which is essentially getting in bed with Iran because that shield was also going to be some sort of protection for anything launched out of Iran. And he makes this announcement to Poland and the Czech Republic 70 years to the day of the Soviet invasion of Poland. This is not an accident, it is not a coincidence. This man is making a statement about what he thinks of past US foreign policy and imperialism. From the UK Times online: "Dismay in Europe as Obama Ditches Missile Defense." Fledgling democracies in Eastern and Central Europe have now been sacrificed to appease the Russians. A lot of people feared this was going to happen after Obama went over to Moscow, had a meeting with Putin and had a meeting with Medvedev, that this would be the result of it.
So let's take some things in order. The president, not only is he weakening our economy, not only is the president attacking the US economy, he is now weakening our foreign policy, he is weakening our military, he is weakening national defense. And it's all being done on purpose. Obama turned 9/11 into a day of serving the state. He's about to go wobbly on Afghanistan, too. The generals over there said we need more troops, but in Washington, Pelosi and John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, said, "No more troops, no more troops." And so, Obama is about to go wobbly there. He will not rush his decision on his commander's call for more troops to win there. He has surrendered missile defense to Putin now. He's moving toward large cuts in defense spending, and just as dangerous, while all this is going on, Barack Obama is bankrupting the United States. He is severely weakening our economy. We're not going to be able to afford to defend ourselves even if we wanted to before this guy gets through. The dollar rapidly declining in value, as is America's military might.
You know, I started the year by saying I hope Obama fails. I'm actually wondering, I'm asking myself, is it maybe that Obama wants America to fail so that he can rebuild it and remake it? Is it not eerie? Yesterday, the National Hemorrhoid, Jimmy Carter, emerges from whatever orifice he holes up in and all of us have a massive itch looking for the giant tube of Prep H to deal with it. He doubles down today, or in a speech last night saying I'm not backing down, I'm going to say it even louder. Here is a man, by any objective estimate, the worst president of this or last century. His presidency is being paralleled, it's being recycled. Everything Jimmy Carter did to our national security setup, everything he did to the military is being done by Barack Obama. Everything Carter did to destroy the US economy is being done by Barack Obama.
Folks, I don't like talking about myself on this program a lot, and I don't like patting myself on the back, but I did often predict that this administration is going to be Jimmy Carter on steroids. Now, if he's scrapping missile defense in Eastern Europe, and it doesn't leave them very many options, I mean he gets on the phone, (doing Obama impression) "You guys, don't worry, if one of us is attacked, we all get attacked. NATO Article 5, don't worry about it, you guys, we got it handled." They're not feeling comfortable about this. (interruption) What? Obama's got a newer, smarter missile defense? A newer, smarter system of defense? What, like not defending anything? Oh, gonna use boats, going to launch missiles from boats. He's going to launch defensive missiles from boats to protect Eastern Europe. What body of water are these boats going to be floating on? Well, if it's smarter, it's too smart for me to understand. Anyway, if they can't have our missile shield, maybe they might consider adopting our Second Amendment and build some bunkers. Maybe Obama could give them some grants, bucks for bunkers, bucks for buckshot. It's the least we could do for our former allies, ladies and gentlemen.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: By the way, folks, it's not just Poland that we have turned our backs on. It is Honduras, along with the Czech Republic. Greta last night on Fox News had a big segment on this. I think it was last night. Next week, the Obama administration will allow Ahmadinejad, Castro, Hugo Chavez, Khadafy, and several other international dictators into New York City to speak in front of the UN General Assembly. Now, you're saying, "Wait a minute, Rush! Obama can't not let those people in. They're going to the UN, diplomatic immunity." Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. One country's president will not be allowed into the United States. President Roberto Micheletti from Honduras will not be allowed to enter the United States of America. His visa was revoked by the Obama administration in August. He is the legal president of Honduras. He was installed not in a coup; he was the legal president.
So for the first time in our nation's history, a president of the United States is siding with Marxist communist leaders -- Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, Raul Castro, Evo Morales -- in condemning our democratic freedom-fighting ally of Honduras. Do not doubt me. This man has a chip on his shoulder about this country. It was unjust and it was immoral until he became president, and now he's going to reverse all of what he considers to be unjust and immoral and illegitimate about this country. Starting with our economy, and redistributing as much wealth as he can, and next tearing down our defense establishment and our foreign policy posture. Because to a man like this and his allies and cronies, we're nothing but a bunch of imperialists.
"We are 5% of the world's population but we steal 25% of the world's resources. We are causing poverty all over the world! We ally with people who blow up other people. We are just horrible. Our nation is horrible and rotten, and nothing redeeming about it, and that's why he runs around apologizing for it," and that's why he's pulling us back. It was a story we had yesterday. In fact, it was in the Morning Update today The International Institute for Strategic Studies has issued a report that celebrates what they consider a weakened United States. "Clearly," says the report, "the US share of 'global power,' however measured, is in decline." Now, this place is in London, and they say also that "domestically, Obama may have campaigned on the theme 'yes we can'; internationally he may increasingly have to argue, 'no we can't,'" and they praise Obama for recognizing there's only so much America can do "to impose its views on others."
Well, the traditional view of America was one of freedom and liberty, neither of which can be "imposed," unless you're a dictator or a terrorist leader -- and then, of course, freedom for your people is considered an imposition. America's difficulties in Iraq and Afghanistan have supposedly "exposed" the limits of our military power. The financial meltdown has sapped our economic base. In addition, we've lost our traction in dealing with Iran and the Middle East -- and all these lefty think tanks are applauding this. They're happy. It's about time we were cut down to size! A "weakened America" is an improvement because in their view and Obama's America has not been the solution to the world's problems. America is the problem.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I want to finish this little riff here on the European think tanks being all giddy and happy with Obama weakening America. We're no longer the power player that we were. There's this guy named Robin Niblett, and he's head of Chatham House, which is another London think tank, and he says that (paraphrasing) "the rise of power of China, the reemergence of the Soviets and the European Union," which is laughable, "has made it difficult for America to influence others. Besides, America's long been seen as the problem. Climate change, financial crisis, Middle East policy." Robin Niblett says Obama's administration is far more Frank about US interdependence with the rest of the world and that's a good thing. They love the fact that Obama is tearing this country apart, they love it, they love a weakened America, they love the whole process of America is being seen as the problem here.
Now, Mr. Niblett and the rest of you European leftist socialists, maybe a weakened America sounds good to you, and maybe it sounds good to Obama and his cronies, but it does not sit well with non-liberal Americans. We've been through this before, the National Hemorrhoid, Jimmy Carter. And you know what the answer to a weakened America was? Two words: Ronaldus Magnus. So don't start celebrating yet, Mr. Niblett, we are not done, not by a long shot. And furthermore, Mr. Niblett, who is going to protect your little lily-livered white butt when somebody has you in the crosshairs? Who's always done it? You guys over there haven't the ability to defend yourselves. We have to clean up every mess you people start, and now we're not going to be able to. We're not going to have the means, we're not going to have the wherewithal and we're not going to have the policy. So the next time you're in somebody's crosshairs, the next time Russia wants to cut off natural gas supplies to your area of the woods, you gotta deal with it on your own until we get rid of this administration and replace it with one that will rebuild America as a superpower, which is for the good of everyone on the planet.

"...Whites talking to blacks as true equals (which obviously means fully accountable, unlike the current Double Standard charade) would be a nightmare for the profoundly racist neo-coms. Honest dialogue would threaten their neo-plantation and Stalinist double standard. If they let blacks function like everybody else---on the merits and without the blatant patronizing---even P. Wedeen would have to face reality without his liberal race card. The horror, the horror! ..."

Spot on, Gringoman.
Also, the problem with white "liberals" is their dogged determination to hang-on to the deeply flawed notion that all races are created equal in all ways. According to the libmind, the percentage of blacks and whites should be proportionately equal in economic, political and social areas of society. If blacks aren't proportionately represented in those areas, that in and of itself provides irrefutable proof of "institutional racism" -- so the white-liberals conclude. Moreover, the Leftists' one central doctrine they depend on is: Whites are responsible for the problems blacks face. Poverty, crime,illegitimacy.. just about everything the plagues blacks can be traced to slavery and inveterate white racism. In other words, white Libtards and black race hustlers blame the malevolence of whites as the reason why blacks fail. Of course that is non-sense and doesn't square with reality, however it perpetuates itself for at LEAST two reasons:
1.) It assuages the irrational "white-guilt' felt by the libtards and
2.) Blacks benefit both materially and psychologically, i.e., they have an excuse not to look themselves in the mirror and face the fact that social pathologies blacks face is stareing right back at them.

If that's the case, when are we going to end the "institutional racism" in the NBA, NLF, Boxing, MoTown, Hip-Hop etc?

The "manly" art of talking to oneself:
"Lefty's race racketeering and his liberal racist swill is coming to a crisis.

Correction: You "might" see some Republicans regain their manhood. Let's be careful with these pols. Let's not get crazy. Let's not assume that all of them even had a 'manhood" to regain in the first place.

Gringoman,
That's where the double standards rear their ugly head. As long as blacks are overrepresented in any desired career category, then there is no reason to file a grievance/lawsuit on the bases of racial discrimination. The hypocritical libs will assert: It's just the free market/merit based forces at work, therefore there is no need for affirmative action or racial quotas in sports... except of course in front office staff, coaching positions and actual ownership of the teams and or recording companies. Neat, eh?

Here is the late Reggie White articulating in HIS own style what I am trying to convey:
.
The Reverend Reginald Howard "Reggie" White (December 19, 1961 – December 26, 2004), nicknamed the "Minister of Defense" (a dual reference to his football prowess and to his Evangelical Christian ordination) was one of football's most prolific sackers in college, the USFL and the NFL.
Reggie White:
:Why did God create us differently? Why did God make me black and you white? Why did God make the next guy Korean and the next guy Asian and the other guy Hispanic? Why did God create the Indians?
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:Well, it's interesting to me to know why now. When you look at the black race, black people are very gifted in what we call worship and celebration. A lot of us like to dance, and if you go to black churches, you see people jumping up and down, because they really get into it.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:White people were blessed with the gift of structure and organization. You guys do a good job of building businesses and things of that nature and you know how to tap into money pretty much better than a lot of people do around the world.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:Hispanics are gifted in family structure. You can see a Hispanic person and they can put 20 or 30 people in one home. They were gifted in the family structure.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:When you look at the Asians, the Asian is very gifted in creation, creativity and inventions. If you go to Japan or any Asian country, they can turn a television into a watch. They're very creative. And you look at the Indians, they have been very gifted in the spirituality.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
:When you put all of that together, guess what it makes. It forms a complete image of God.

"For, by then, the Poles had been, well, not forgotten exactly, but pushed very firmly down the memory hole, along with the other faraway nations passing behind the Iron Curtain. Only a handful of MPs (among them, to his credit, the future prime minister Alec Douglas-Home) voted against the Yalta treaty in the House of Commons. Poland had been occupied by the Red Army, and Stalin's Communist quislings were imposed on the stricken nation. Hungary enjoyed a brief illusion of democracy--and elected conservative smallholder parties rather than the socialists allegedly favored by history--before the minority Communists seized full power under the gaze of the Red Army. And the Czechs fell to a classic Communist coup. That completed the Cold War division of Europe which would last 40 years. It is a history that makes it hard to celebrate the anniversary of VE Day with unqualified rapture in Warsaw, Prague, Budapest-or Moscow."

"Send in the cavalry" is a well-known American saying referring to rescue from imminent doom, usually in relation to the Indian Wars of the American West. But few people know that the US cavalry was born on the Polish plains and founded by Count Casimir Pulaski during the Revolutionary War. Polish horsemanship is world-renowned, and saved our race many times, most notably at the Relief of Vienna in 1683, when Polish Hussars smashed the mighty Turkish Ottoman Army."

"The 17th of September was the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland. A Nazi-Soviet Pact was signed in Moscow on August the 28th, and all resistance was futile as both powers combined forces. Poland lost their Sovereignty, and as the years passed freedom became a distant memory.
Poles have always found a connection with the United States. It is much more than the promised anti-missile shield, it is about the similarities in attitudes of freedom and democracy. The United States was not only respected as the great liberator, but as a defender.
After 9-11 Poland expressed solid and empathetic solidarity with America, and without hesitation joined US-led coalition forces against terrorism.
Both Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Shroeder verbally assaulted them, but they stood fast making their intentions completely clear to the EU: Poland and the USA would fight common enemies shoulder to shoulder. They considered the US an ally, and though their forces were small, 80 percent of Poles was sympathetic to the union. They made it clear to France, Germany, and all of the EU countries that American interests were their own.
This is now a historical footnote. President Obama has betrayed a friend, and has caused great indignation and outrage ..."

If one were to even attempt to contextualize the barrage of Polish history posts on this and the last thread, one would draw the inference that Poland today is in grave danger.
What has changed from a few month ago?
The only think I can discern is the US decision not to deploy a missle shield in Poland.
Does the absence of this shield make Poland less safe?
I doubt it.
I heard on RFI last evening Sec'y Defence Gates (a Bush holdover) state that the US has decided to deploy sea based missles in the region to counter a potential future threat from Iranian missiles.
Both NATO and Bi-lateral agreements between the USA and POLAND insures the full retaliatory capacity from NATO.
That hasn't changed.
So what has?...
A group of people within the USA that harbor such annimus towards their own President that even his selection of TV interviews is subject to their scorn and derision.
In this context, Poland is being offered not for its own security, but as a foil for a domestic politics squabble.
