Another point being made about Sarah Palin:

Her legion of "sophisticated" back-biters scoffed at her for resigning the Alaska Governorship where she was a sitting duck for all kinds of trashy, malevolent legal attacks etc, as the liberal piranha succeeded in raising her lawyer bill to a half million dollars. They also said she would be useless politically as a "drop-out."

But apparently, with only a few deeply intuitive words last week about Obamacare's "Death Panel," the woman these eliteniks sneer at as "Caribou Barbie" has somehow managed to put the most powerful Government in the world, The Obama Regime, on the defensive.

Like Christ? Gee, thanks yet again!

And I don't know, but I think Warrior Princess would take offense at her blog being described as "un-Christian."

And furthermore, that all who come here are "slumming".

That's obviously how YOU see it; I certainly do not.

Conflating the slumming that goes on in his (sic) mind with the site of our Warrior Princess is not a sign of health, let alone reading skill in English. Patriots may wager that Kooky de Quebec himself could be saddened by this display from a potential spouse who recently flattered him (I mean 'spouse' politically, of course.) From Kooky d'Amerique, Kooky de Quebec might expect a tad more humility, even if the sage is a wise non-latina that knows Who Really Did 9.11.

DJ,

I hadn't heard. Wonder if Cyberstalker and Cyber9.11 need any further incentive to get together for a tingle-in?

In fact, an even more interesting progressive event might now be in the offing. What if the tragic victimologist,CybER-X, author of THE WHITE VIPERS FROM HELL, could join them? What a tingle-a-trois! Quebec's Le Devoir could cover it, in the interests of cross-border solidarity. Do any of them take fotos?

BLACK SPEECH POLICE TARGET BECK

"I'm not saying that he(Obama) doesn't like white people," Beck said. "I'm saying he has a problem. This guy, I believe, is a racist. Look at the things that he has been surrounded by."

Predictably, Beck’s off hand remarks created a storm of controversy in the leftwing blogosphere, the same group that had been apologists for the Rev. Wright’s statements of hate against whites and Jews.

Color of Change, which claims to be the largest African-American political organization online with 600,000 members, has seized on Beck's comment to mount a campaign to discourage companies from advertising on the program.

Color of Change Executive Director James Rucker spoke with Newsmax, and made clear his organization's goal is for Beck's voice to be silenced.

"It's preposterous and absurd," Rucker says of Beck's opinion. "It's insulting to black Americans; and it corrupts honest debate. Anyone who uses such a platform to spew such vitriol, whether Glenn Beck or anyone else, has no place on the air, and we at Color Of Change would use every resource available to us to remove corporate sponsorship from their platform."

The group is asking its member to sign a petition urging companies who advertise on Beck's program to pull their ads from the show, and claims that 150,000 members have signed the petition. And it says its anti-Beck campaign is working.

In a Tuesday press release, Color of Change quoted an e-mail sent to the group from GEICO: "On Tuesday, August 4, GEICO instructed its ad buying service to redistribute its inventory of rotational spots on Fox TV to their other network programs, exclusive of the Glenn Beck program. As of August 4, GEICO no longer runs any paid advertising spots during Mr. Beck's program."

A Fox spokesman confirmed that GEICO is dropping its ads from the show, Brandweek reported, but noted: "The advertisers referenced have all moved their spots from Beck to other programs on the network so there has been no revenue lost."

It's not the first time Color of Change, which was founded in 2005, has sought to quell political speech from the right. It lobbied the Congressional Black Caucus not to host a Democratic presidential debate co-sponsored by Fox, arguing that it "consistently marginalizes . . . black leaders and the black community." Marching in lockstep, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton shunned the debate.

Grass-roots leaders find news of the group's ties to the Obama administration alarming, however.

President Obama's "green jobs czar" is co-founder of a black activist organization that has led a campaign prompting major advertisers to withdraw from Glenn Beck's top-rated Fox News Channel program.

In recent weeks, Beck has done several critical segments about Van Jones, who was appointed as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

Beck's segments were based in part on WND's reporting that Jones was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.

Now Colors of Change, an activist organization seeking to "strengthen Black America's political voice" has led a furious campaign against Beck culminating in major companies such as Geico and Lawyers.com pulling their spots from the Fox News star's daily show. The group also says it has garnered about 75,000 signatories for an online petition against Beck to be sent to advertisers.

But in all fairness, i should admit that DJ probably gets his "facts" from the same place GRINGOMAN, Hannity, Drudge and Mark Simone does.....

Healthcare is too important to be left to the clowns on the Hill because none of us knows who is taking what under the table...therefor it should be put on the ballot in November. Those in favour vote YEA, and those opposed vote NAY, with the stipulation that they will never ask for Medicaid or Medicare for them or their family.

THAT sounds FAIR & BALANCED to me:)

That's funny, the Haitians I've met aren't nearly as hypersensitive about their religious practices as you seem to think they are. But just in case he starts to chimpout, I'll introduce him to my .357 magnum I nicknamed "the holy spirit", it speaks with tongues of fire.

Explain to me why telling the truth is racist? Also, there is nothing wrong with my fact checking. If you don't think my account of Voodoo in Haiti is correct, then do a google search for yourself.

You can start by Googling: Haiti, 90%Catholic, 100% Voodoo. and Haiti Voodoo.

They need to pass a law that a "BILL" must be easily readable in the amount of time the bill is given consideration - in plain English. This can be transferred to all the WHEREFORE's and reference numbers of other legislation after the bill is passed. They ought to restrict single item legislation to a single item - not a hodgepodge of all sorts of things not involved in the bill, tucked in and for other purposes. A bill should embody a single idea or concern.

Would Jesus insure everyone? What does the Tea Party say?

I do not think their thinking has evolved as far as this. They are hung up because they believe that NO meaningful legislation can be passed by this Congress, without a CHANGE in the manner of doing business there.

The problem is not the public option, but rather all sorts of giveaways to vested interests that will cost a fortune, and result in no improvement over the current situation or even make it worse - like long lines for people who are currently satisfied with their health care, or higher rates.

LET US SEE THAT THEY CAN READ THE LEGISLATION FIRST. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE LAW IN CONGRESS UNTIL THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, AND WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING.

Dgscol

I favor the "pay as you go system", where everyone pays for their medical services on a sliding scale based on income. You can not really insure health care, and that really is the problem.

Insurance was used to compel people to work, from welfare. There are people uncovered, because of prior health problems, or health issues encountered while unemployed. Insurance has untethered the costs of care from income, and we have all watch it sail into never-never land.

American thinker has cherry picked the legislation and DJ is relying on the blogger and not the bill. Under the heading of the PUBLIC OPTION of establishing what amounts to an HMO for the uninsured,
the federal government will give money to training facilities including medical schools who provide curriculum in public health and internal medicine.

The bill also provides financial aid to students who enroll in these programs at their school or institution. There is added funding for minority enrollees in these programs.

There is no mention of affirmative action admissions. There is no nexus between the funding the school receives and the money the student receives.

As for the Malkin piece it's shot through with racist arguments which have no basis in the pending health legislation. There is no lowering of standards in the nations Med Schools. there may be set-asides for otherwise qualified candidates. There is no statistical data to support affirmative action admissions and state license revocations. There are no statistics for med-mal claims and the race of the physician. Thus Malkin is using the anecdotal evidence of one doctor to imply the conduct to all physicians similarly situated by creating a racial stereotype.

There is data on med-mal claims and doctors who were trained outside the USA but the overwhelming number of these foreign trained are US nationals who could not get into med school in the USA and trained abroad.

All fear that DJ has should evaporate. (Note the plutocratic fear technique to ordinary people to vote against their own class interest). Not only is the AMERICAN THINKER blog cherry picking nonsense it's now irrelevant as the PUBLIC OPTION has been removed from the legislation.
So no need to blast the next person who gets in your way, DJ, and no need to read the legislation (you didn't anyway you relied on the punditry to tell you how to think) because it is now moot.
Here's hoping your bypass is performed by a White-guy, although the last thing you'll see is the anesthesiologists Rolex as you count backwards from

Give me a break. This is a massive bill that we can’t AFFORD. I don’ t want the government controlling my health care. I don’t like the way government programs are managed. As Obama pointed out, the post office is always in financial trouble but FED EX and UPS are doing just fine.
We can’t hide from many of our elected officials when they are campaigning, but try to get them to a town hall when elected is almost impossible. Regular people who have jobs, kids and lives are reading the bill, while our elected official, who are paid to read it with our tax dollars have not.
Have you read the bill? It is scary. For example, I was listening to one section where doctors and hospitals can be penalized for readmitting patients back to hospitals. Many people develop complications after they leave the hospital. How many people will die doctors and hospitals are afraid to be penalized for not readmitting them?
New York just gave a $200 check to people on public assistance for school supplies. Rumor has it that there is a spike in the sale of alcohol, cigarettes, recreational tickets and electronics. And you’re part of this give away. If you haven’t seen your taxes increase, you will be paying more for food, clothing, tolls and just about everything to fund the mess the states have gotten us in.

Glad YOU enjoy paying taxes.

M/M

Rochester, N.Y.) – Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks said the state school supply grants handed out to New York State food stamp and welfare recipients are not being used as intended by many families. She said the program has “widespread, rampant abuse.”

“There were better ways--You don't have to support families to buy school supplies by giving them cash,” she said.

Brooks said the county has been overwhelmed by reports, some of them from store owners, of people using the money to buy TVs and other luxury items.

“We actually received a telephone call from WalMart on Hudson Avenue suggesting that there was welfare fraud, and indicating they were going to call the FBI because people were going in and buying X-boxes, Wii systems, flat-screen television sets,” said Kelly reed, the county’s commissioner of social services. “Wegmans has indicated people are buying tickets to Darien Lake.”

The $200 per child grants showed up in welfare accounts this week. Many recipients had no idea the money was coming, and flooded area stores and ATMs.

The money is a combination of $140 million in federal stimulus funds and a $35 million donation from philanthropist George Soros. About $6.5 million went to more than 32,400 children in Rochester. Critics have said the program invited waste and abuse, because there are no strings attached to the grant money.

“When you hand out $200 per child cash to a family with no strings attached, no requirements for spending, are we surprised that people are buying flat screen TV's i-Pods, X-boxes?” Brooks said.

Lisa Laraway was thrilled to get the money.

“We didn't know how to pay for school supplies. We were going to recycle last year's book bag and I was trying to get into a program that gives us free supplies,” she said.

Laraway said she spent every dime on school supplies and clothes, “We got book bags, pencils, notebooks, rulers, pretty much everything on my daughter's list.”

“It's money for your kids. Spend it on your kids. I feel bad for the kids,” said Laraway.

The county plans to hand this case over to the state and federal attorneys general offices, who can determine whether these actions qualify as fraud.

Brooks alsocalled on the government to immediately suspend the program.

State officials said the federal money was set aside for this purpose and would have gone elsewhere. They said it would generate sales in Monroe County and help many needy families.

Community Reaction
Many people 13WHAM spoke to said the way people spend the money constitutes more of an "ethical" problem than breaking the law.

Others had mixed feelings.

Mark Welch of Rochester said, “I think it's a nice gesture to say, take care of your children, but in all honesty, if you're giving money away--you can't tell people how to spend it.”
