Obama was right, of course, but he shouldn't have said it from a strategic point of view.

J. Pierpont Finch

Overlay what Monica points out over Obama's tax proposal where he would hike the top bracket rate back to 39.5%, and, remove the subject all income above $200,000 to social security taxes without limit and you end up taxing entrepreneurs who create most of the jobs at about 63% of their income. My guess is that most of such entrepreneurs close ship and take up golf on a daily basis. CLosing of such small businesses will shrink the number or available jobs and sharply increase unemployment rates.

Also overlay Obama's nieve proposed foreign policy suggestions to cut and run from Iraq and to attack nuclear armed Pakistan.

Also overlay Obama's absorbing of his pastors hate speach for 20 years, his frienship with the Weather Underground character who claims he did not set off enough bombs during the turbulent 1960's, and his association with Tony Revco.

And this is the best the Democrats have to promote for the highest office in the land? Pathetic!

Herbert Hoover hiked taxes up to 63% and that was a disaster. Just the candidate we will need in a bad economy.

Who is the real Barack Obama? Remember when he dismissed Samantha Powers? Some people think it is because she let it slip that she didn't really believe he could withdraw the troops in 16 months as he promised his supporters.

(Wikipedia):"Religion is the opiate of the people" is one of the most frequently quoted statements of Karl Marx. It was translated from the German original, "Die Religion ... ist das Opium des Volkes" and is often referred to as "religion is the opiate of the masses." The quote originates from the introduction of his 1843 work Contribution to Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right which was subsequently released one year later in Marx's own journal Deutsch-Französische Jahrbücher, a collaboration with Arnold Ruge. The phrase "Tis opium you feed your people" appears in 1797 in Marquis de Sade's text L'Histoire de Juliette. In Brave New World Revisited, Aldous Huxley states that opium is the religion of the people (or rather, soma).

Obama's statement is interesting considering he attended Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years. What this tells me is that Obama really didn't believe his religion he was just going to church for show and he believes that religion is an opiate for the working class. If that is the case his attending Wright's church for 20 years was a sham and intended simply to promote his career. He could at least acknowledge that some people attend church not as an opiate for their miserable lives, but like him they attend church to to rub shoulders with people of influence to advance his career.

(Wikipedia):Annie Oakley (born Phoebe Ann Mosey[2][3][4] August 13, 1860 – November 3, 1926) was an American sharpshooter and exhibition shooter. Oakley's amazing talent and timely rise to fame[5] led to a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West show, which propelled her to become the first American female superstar.

Using a .22 caliber rifle at 90 feet (27 m), Oakley reputedly could split a playing card edge-on and put five or six more holes in it before it touched the ground.

After Hillary told her heart warming gun story today, Obama accused her of pretending to be another Annie Oakley. This after we learn that Hillary can drink like a sailor.

And not to be out done, the Right Rev. Jeremiah Wright just had to extend his 15 minutes of fame by insulting O'Reilly and Hannity, saying they were fixed on stupid.

The Democratic Primary has become a 2-ring circus with clowns running around in circles. Only the Democratic Party could lay this egg.

Look, all of Obama's friends seem to watch Hannity. In this video we have footage of Williams Ayers, leader of the Weather Underground (a group that used to bomb government buildings and police stations) talking about how he was watching Hannity discuss Ayers' relationship to Obama.

Sean Hannity doing the work the mainstream media won't.

Hillary's drinking video.

Obama calls Hillary Annie Oakley

Obama was right, of course, but he shouldn't have said it from a strategic point of view.

And here we have the attitude of the libs straight from the horse's mouth..

A nice fat bump of special K.

That horse would have been better off tranquilized so it wouldn't open its mouth and confirm what we all knew already..

liEberals have nothing but CONTEMPT for you and me.

Thank you so much Fred, for illustrating Monica's point above.

Great job!

Er.. what was John McCain's age again.. 71 right..?

Guess what 71yo man just won the election in Italy in a landslide..

Yep.. Silvio Berlusconi.. after a liberal government that had nothing but appeasement to offer in the face of militant islam.

Ben fatti, Italia!!!

Just curious - what is your plan for the Mohammadians?

So, I'm listening to Imus this morning and he said that he laughed so hard when heard Rev Wright say that Sean Hannity was "stuck on stupid" and that Rev. Wright is his new hero, so I dug up this interview between Hannity and Rev. Wright to see what Sean is saying that is so stupid.

For those of you who don't have time to listen, Sean said something like " I think as a Christian, you should not separate race in this day and age. Aren't we supposed to be united under Christ?"

Well, I guess I'm too stupid to understand Rev Wright's theology. It is tax day, so I need to go back to my guns and my Bible.

Ummah --

"You and me"? Are YOU one of the people Obama was talking about? Just because you are conservative doesn't make you part of Middle America.

But you are a xenophobe, and I do have contempt for you. Those points are conceded.

Here's the other problem: I say something, and immediately you latch onto it as representative of what liberals think.

I've already said here that liberals have diverse opinions and often don't agree with each other. It would be arrogant of me to claim that I speak for liberals in general, and it would be arrogant of you to claim the same. I speak for me. Period.

And I think that too many in this country are feeling desperate and it leads them to cling to things that are being portrayed as "real America", like religion, guns, and, yes, opinions reminiscent of the Know-Nothing Party from American history. I don't think any of those things are positive, but that's me.

Well, first of all.. they have 51 countries that are offcially moslem. So it's not that they have no place to live and practivce their cult.

The way you phrase your question is a little pejorative. As if I have some evil master plan.

What I would do is not constantly bow and scrape when they make all their little demands.. And I'd sdtart a discussion whether or not it really qualifies as a religiopn and if it is indeed found to be one.. then how far is the practice of that religion allowed to impact on the lives of others.

In Europe they refuse to send their children to gym class and they want segregated swimming hours in opublic schools.. In other words, they find the native Europeans revolting and "unclean".

These attitudes are unacceptable. They've been taken in by a population browbeaten by decades of PC and liberalism anbd multikulti in to tolerating evcen those whose entire worldview is based on intolerance.

The question, Michael, should be rephrased.. in light of all the evidence we have seen so far.. what are the Mohamedans' plans for us?

I can list plenty of other instances of moslms demanding and often getting special treatment by the host countries they have come into.. without them showin g any form of gratitude or making useful contributions to thos countries.

I am only the messenger and I am foretelling a sad and violent futuire if we keep going the way we are going.

You cannot avoid conflict forever if there are those who are pushing and pushing you.

The Italian election results reflect an increasing European wariness of this unconditional accomodation our left-left leaning governments have been granting these uncultured intruders.

You should read Oriana Fallaci.. and even Brigitte BArdot.

The situjation is so bad that Brigitte BArdot got hauled into courrt for publishin a book that is critical of the submissive bahevior of France toward the moslem interlopers who keep making demand after demand after demand.

They are presently changing the laws so that statements such as mine will in the near futre be illegal in Europe.

If Obama becomes president this could hapopen here even sooner than it is happening in Europe.

A very slippery slope and we are sliding down it already.

I hope that answers your question somehwhat, Michael.
