Mitt Romney, Wildfire Politics, Phony Soldier

This weekend I'll be joined by Mitt Romney.  The former Massachusetts governor will call in from the campaign trail.  Today Romney predicted support for Rudy Giuliani will fade, opening the door for a more conservative challenger. 

"Those of us who represent that base will find that we can get that support and ultimately face up one-to-one with Mayor Giuliani," Romney said. Remembering Gerald Ford | 1913-2006

Join me this weekend as we remember President Gerald Ford.  A state funeral and five days of nationwide services will be held to honor the man who led America from its darkest political hour after the Watergate scandal.   I'll be talking about the Ford legacy with special guests, and sharing my thoughts on the man who replaced my late boss, President Richard Nixon.

Are we ignoring the threat of terror at home?  This week a Muslim convert was arrested after authorities say he was planning to blow up an Illinois mall before Christmas.   The arrest and the plot it uncovered raises all sorts of questions, and I'll be putting them to Steve Emerson, the executive director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism and the author of Jihad Incorporated.

Jim Baker threw up his hands this week over Iraq.  No politics involved here, right?  I'll have full analysis of what was really said.

This weekend I'll talking with terrorism expert Steve Emerson about the war in the Mideast.  Who won-- Israel or Hezbollah?  I'll also be talking to Steve about efforts to fight terrorism here at home.   And speaking of the battles here at home, some have been wondering if we need an intelligence agency like the British MI5.   I'll be joined by Richard Posner, author of Uncertain Shield: The US Intelligence System in the Throes of Reform.  I'll also be joined by Irshad Manji, the author of The Trouble With Islam Today.
