Five years ago, we were promised the "most transparent administration" in world history. That, of course, was yet another "transparent" lie told by Barack Obama and his fellow leftists as they sought to put the press and the public to sleep, Wizard-of-Oz-in-the-poppy-field-style.
And so the press, and much of the public, dutifully fell asleep as the Skinny Socialist and his industrious band of "fundamental transformers" went about moving America from a nation built on individual liberty and economic freedom toward a government dependency and welfare state. You can't ask many questions, raise many concerns, complain about propaganda, or challenge the "fundamental transformation of the nation" if you're asleep....or fending off the IRS.
A few weeks ago, the press corps began to complain that the White House doesn't permit photojournalists access to the president or to the White House more generally. Nearly 40 news outlets sent a formal letter to the White House to register their outrage. That outrage blew up today during Press Secretary Jay Carney's daily briefing. See it here:
Now that the bloom is off his rose, they are whining that he's abusing them. Love, by the way, is also blind.
