I find it incredible that the same media that had no interest in tracking down Barack Obama's illegal alien relatives, old girlfriends, and college and law school records is fixated on tracking down one of Newt Gingrich's ex-wives. This would be the same media who told us ad nauseum that adultery didn't matter when Bill Clinton was doing it.
Nevertheless, folks from ABC have thought it newsworthy to bring you Marianne Gingrich, Newt's ex-wife of many years, to talk about his "character" or lack thereof. I do not dismiss what she says. I do believe that character is critical in a president. I do take issue, however, with media hypocrisy on the issue. Newt has been very clear that he's made major mistakes in his life, for which he's asked forgiveness. He also dropped the family values stuff long ago when it became clear that he hadn't lived up to it himself.
The media's chasing down this story tells you a few things. First, they are scared to death of Newt. He pounds them every chance he gets for their outrageous bias. He's also an extremely effective conservative, so they fear that too.
It also shows you how Newt handles crises. He doesn't duck and cover. He takes it on full-frontal. This comes from being someone who has been through many political battles and has the scars to show for it. Get in front of the crisis, answer questions as gracefully as you can, and then move on. Unlike Clinton, Newt isn't lying about what went down. He's dealing with it, his daughters are also answering questions and now he's focused on South Carolina, after picking up endorsements there from Sarah Palin and Rick Perry.
Do I excuse Newt's behavior? I do not. But I also know that this country faces big problems, and I resent the media chasing down a personal relationship story from years ago of one GOP presidential candidate while allowing the current president to skate by with his radical agenda no questions asked.

He hasn't cloesd Gitmo.
Bush talked about it as well
Unemployment is over 8%.
but, trying to say he's had the worse in years is pure propaganda. Reagan had it over 10%
Gas is about double. but, it's almost half of what it was under Bush when oil was 147.00 a barrel
Then like Fox said, Bush had oil drop severely to make it look for conservatives.
oil dropped right before the 2008 elections.
he raised the debt ceiling but the raising th edebt ceiling party is all GOP.
They love doing it when there is a GOP president.
You nuts have NEVER shown any proof that what I have said over the months is false.

An Open Letter to Newsweek Magazine
It goes beyond nauseatingly putrid that your once fine magazine has regressed into nothing more than a blatantly obvious propaganda tool of the unconstitutional, anti-American, fringe "progressive" Marxist agenda.
On exactly what basis are you so eminently qualified as to make the determination that Patriotic Americans who want our country to follow the original intent and first principles of the Founding Fathers are dumb? Who appointed you God?
The only reason I'm not canceling my subscription (as I did with TIME Magazine) is because I've never been dumb enough to subscribe to your worthless Marxist rag.

"After tonight, no one will support him.
It'll be between Romney and Santorum. One a vulture capitalist, the other, a christian-extremist. Neither have a shot at taking down the "won".
And so it begins...the end of the GOP party. And good riddance." - rafe
The end of the GOP began in 1980, when the GOP elected a CIA I director running a rogue division in the Agency to make money for him and his cronies, hiding behind a senile borderline retarded movie actor while his wife ran the White House for eight years, then four more years as himself.
The final nail in the coffin was the installation by their Supreme Court whores in 2000, of that CIA I Director's crony as President hiding behind the CIA I Director's idiot son. That allowed the self-attack on the US for pure profit facilitated by the Saudis who provided patsies.
However, that's all blood under the blown-up bridge now.
It's a new day with CIA II, the patriots in the Agency that excised the tumor of the ultimate vulture capitalism, offense contracting and are now, back to the business of PROTECTING America instead of attacking it to reap trillions in the Mideast.
And their President. Long may he govern, and may God AND Providence continue to protect him from the insane, which includes all Zionists.

Ah, Gingrich... yet another GOP fascist whore crashes and burns because he couldn't keep his teeny peeny where it belonged.
And Perry is finally gone. Thank GOD. May he find refuge in rehab.
It's a new day. After all.

"It'll be between Romney and Santorum. One a vulture capitalist, the other, a christian-extremist." - rafe
I take offense to that. Santorum is no Christian, as taught, lived, and died by Jesus Christ.
Santorum is another totalitarian christianist, one who uses the claim to Christianity as a way of seeking power. It is purely a heretical political movement, based on blasphemy. Santorum quit emulating Christ (as all christianists do) the day he sought political power and wealth to fund that political power. To do so is was anathema for Christ, and is for all TRUE CHRISTIANS.
As his "Church" did the moment they started chasing political power and wealth.
Worse yet, christianism is often militant, supports murder of those who disagree with their beliefs (doctors who support choice) and want to change our democracy into a theocracy, where they and only they determine what God wants, and "what God wants" is a return to the Dark Ages and a flat earth at the center of the universe. Where a fertilized egg is a human. And all too soon, sperm and semen. The very fact that eggs and unviable fetuses are excreted tells you what God knows is human; a baby born into the world He gave a soul to. And nothing less.
Christianism is not the opposite of Islamic extremism; it is merely the other side OF THE SAME COIN.

Why should he lie? conservatives don't care what sex scandals and such their politicians engage in. Monica NEVER spoke about the scandals by Ensign and Vitter on her blog.

We need a real revolution in this country. Then maybe Congress might listen to the people.
I tried to participate in the process by running for Congress as an Independent. The dems and GOP spent 2 years calling the police on me, prosecuting me for non-existent 'crimes' I committed by attempting to be heard. They sicked the IRS on me, evicted me for running against club members, and had the local CEO repeatedly direct death threats at my wife and myself. And that's just the tip of the barrel. They wrecked my income, used reverse seo on my websites, and vandalized my vehicles and residence. We even had to chase a GOP operative out of our bushes! They still haven't let up on us, and I'm not even running for office anymore. The justice department says they will not investigate because I'm not Jewish or Black (yes, they told me that!). The media won't tell the public what happened because they were the ones who orchestrated my arrest (for speaking at a debate).
Now Obey, by decrying the two party system and irreconsilable differences causing him to retire, insults people who aren't willing to be put in jail and driven from business by actively participating in politics. As if he doesn't know what happens to people like me who dare to run against the two-headed gang. Obey says it's not our fault you didn't watch what we were doing and push us harder. Yeah right. If Dems and the GOP didn't surround Independent candidates with swat teams, orchestrate their false-arrest and malicious prosecution, have their goons vandalize property and make death threats directed at a candidate's wife, Obey's baloney might fly.

Newt calls his ex-wife a LIAR THREE TIMES in this night's debate.
We'll see how that plays with women voters. Christianists, being the most hypocritical of all political groups, can ignore anything. All they want is the guy MOST like Hitler, and that, hands down, is Newt Gingrich. As it was George Dubyah Bush/Cheney.
Newt- try at least to try and look surprised, upset, and angry when being tossed a hardball question you've completely memorized a long statement (or in this case, statements) in response to. It makes the response look halfway spontaneous.
Instead of grinning like the cat who swallowed the canary. Dummkopf.

I place my money in the Cayman IS, because 1) do not want my wife to know I have this money, and 2) it is money I made in foreign countries, and if I do not on-shore it, I evade paying a tax, like an arms dealer.

In the event of reorganization, Cayman Is is often the first place investigators look for hidden funds of banks, hedge funds groups, etc. So it is a standard place, but not especially a great place to put your stash. But it is standard, as are the Swiss banks.

Other than than a fat putz getting a knob job from a big-nosed bleached blond Tiffany's junkie in a car parked in his FAMILY driveway while his KIDS walked past.
Yeah, that's probably more DESPICABLE.
Newt Gingrich. No more PERFECT a hateful Amerifascist race-baiting asshole for a party FULL of hateful Amerifascist assholes and their racist duped stooges ever existed.
And the standing ovations from the half mentally challenged-half filthy rich crowd were the only things more DESPICABLE than Newt's blowjob.
