PastisPrologue

Article 88 UCMJ: “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

I sure hope he has good health care...oh wait, he's living off the taxpayers' money, good for him. Please don't die Mr. Vice President: it might break my fu@king heart.

The Washington Follies keep out-doing the notorious Five O'Clock Follies (official press briefings) in Saigon during the Vietnam War.

A few years ago Senators Obama and Clinton trashed General Petraeus over his "surge" strategy for Iraq. Libworld's Alinskybots mocked "General Be-Trayus." Now, Obama has seen fit to sack his choice for the Afghan Command, the Obama-voting McChrystal, for conduct unbecoming a sycophant. The lifeboat he now reaches out to: the erstwhile demeaned "Be-Tray=us."

It tickles nicely.

If any one man can get something like "victory" in Afghanistan, it would be General David Petraeus. Question: is the goal obtainable by anyone?

The Gringo Advisory Board has grave doubts, which is why it posted here recently an alternate plan that will annoy both the Left and the Right, and also the Fanatics: Neither victory nor defeat, but a prolonged and honorable stalemate, maintanied with minimal expenditure of American blood and treasure.

Lost and Found?

Why should a sinner be ashamed to make known his sins, since they are already known and manifest to God, and to His angels, and even to the blessed in heaven? Confession delivers the soul from death. Confession opens the door to heaven.

Gringoman, thanks for your input on Savage's analysis of McChrystal. As promised, I'm doing my homework and watching the movie "Patton". There is a reason why it has taken me this long to see the movie and I'm not enjoying it. I'm about a third through the Rolling Stone article on McChrystal.

M/M,

I haven't gotten to the transcript of McChrystal's incredible Rolling Stone gaffe yet. I'll bet the gang is ready to hear your reaction to it. I am. Even in the military world (which is as "political" as any other, something the brass know perfectly well)input from civilian outsiders can be useful, especially if they're the straight shooting type and not weighed down with agenda.

I'll be interested in hearing if my description of politically liberal McChrystal was unfair: After the contempt for the Obots expressed by Mc's staff in the RS article, "Obama fired him for conduct unbecoming a sycophant."

GAB's alternate plan for Afghanistan has been praised by a combat veteran of Vietnam whose current media revelations are indisputably read and followed in the Pentagon and other Washington organs. Here's a reply to this military response.........

///////I suspect that a plan resembling the Gringo Advisory Board's approach to the Afghan quagmire will be adopted eventually by the Washington "experts." There's really little choice between that and a bloody useless failure and abject "defeat." In fact, "holding the fort" in Afghanistan, foregoing the chimera of "victory," but avoiding ignominious "defeat," (a la Vietnam) denying "victory" to the fanatics and other enemies, would in fact be tantamount to a "victory"---and one for which Americans could take pride. The wordsmiths and pundits can attend to the branding, since Americans obviously are uncomfortable with words like "stalemate." The high-priced consultants will tell you that Americans won't buy "stalemate." Ergo, re-package it. The average political hack should be able to manage this. Denying the fanatics total control of Afghanistan (such as they had after Washington helped them defeat the Russians)---how is that not a "victory"? Under GAB's plan, Americans would not exit Afghanistan (like the Russians did and like the US did in Vietnam.) Americans would stay, but with a minimal force that was potent enough to deny the fanatics what they got when the Russians left.

Prediction: You'll see this view increasingly being bandied about and re-hashed by the "experts" as time and disaster and resources go by. Take this as a sneak preview. General David Petraeus is a very good man, but not a magician.

INSIDER REPORT/////Sarah Palin has confirmed that she has received an invitation to meet former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during a trip to London.

"As I wrote last year when I offered her birthday wishes, Baroness Thatcher's life and career serve as a blueprint for overcoming the odds and challenging the 'status quo.' She started life as a grocer's daughter from Grantham and rose to become Prime Minister — all by her own merit and hard work."

That is a similar course of action to what VP Joe Biden's been saying we should do for quite awhile now. I happen to agree with it.

Uh... how's England been doing lately? Seems to me it's being decimated by an invasive species. So much for the influence of Thacher.

World of Hurtt: Illegal Aliens’ Best Friend Gets Key ICE Job

The program is also known as the Office of State and Local Coordination (OSLC). Now, the rest of the media–especially the blind and toothless mainstream conservative media–is catching up. But I told you Hurtt would get this job, months ago.

As I told you then, Hurtt not only spoke out against that program–testifying before Congress against police aiding in immigration enforcement, but was the key player in Houston’s sanctuary city status, prohibiting his police from enforcing immigration laws. That and his other carelessness made him a defendant in a lawsuit filed by the widow of one of his murdered cops, after two of them were shot and killed by illegal aliens. Hurtt built his career on open borders baloney and opposing enforcement of immigration laws, including and especially the very program he will now head up. It’s an incredible joke–like putting his boss, Napolitano, on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

If Joe Biden is really agreeing with me, I may have to reconsider. At any rate, who would trust any Obot to do anything, and do it right, unless it advances El Socialismo?

USA: Bastion of Liberal Racism

A reader emails:

I work for a very large high tech company. I presently manage a research team in the corporate lab. The problem is that there is no encouragement for American non-minority males to go into science and engineering because we will almost never hire them. Instead we are being forced to look for technical females and under-represented minorities. Since very few American females choose engineering, we end up hiring Chinese and Indian women. The universities that I work with tell me that they find it almost impossible to recruit American males to PhD programs. I believe within less than a generation we will be in deep trouble, technically, in this country, and we’ll be without the means and capability to maintain the highly sophisticated civilization that we’ve constructed.

Ouch.

Here is the McChrystal interview
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/17390/119236

Still watching Patton. What I liked about McChrystal is his brashness. He seems very Pattonlike. Patton got himself in trouble with the media all the time, but the Germans RESPECTED him because he was a force to be feared.

Just got to the part where Patton volunteers to take Bastogne in winter with little preparation. He says that he can do it because his troops are disciplined and well trained. Another thing I like about McChyrstal is his intense discipline. Like Patton, he is a warrior.

McChyrstal succeeded in getting the focus BACK ON Afghanistan and on these ridiculous "p.c." "rules of engagement" that have been getting our troops killed.

The difference between us and Russia and the empires that came before us on the Afghan battlefield is that the they attacked us. (I thought the Taliban was a problem waiting to happen anyway.) There were training camps in Afghanistan and they will return if we go. They are now moving into Pakistan, which has a nuclear bomb. I think if we "cut and run" I think we will look weak. (Remember, how bin Laden predicted that Americans don't have the stamina to fight because of Vietnam.) However, we do need an exit strategy because we can't stay there indefinitely.

I always thought that you fought this war with special ops, but McChrystal seemed to think we needed more troops. That is what I don't know.

I think it would be hard for the Afghans to like anyone because they have been occupied for so many years. Perhaps, if we could help them rebuild the country so that they are better off, that might work but it will take a long time.

Again, what do I know.

The problem is the anti-white ideology we have been laboring under ever since the end of WWII,especially the anti white-male ideology (blame it on Hitler?). The anti-white ideology reached its zenith during the culture wars in the 1960s. The USA has been on a steady decline both culturally and socially ever since. Make no mistake about it, there is a concerted effort by industry, government, and leftist acedemic elites to race replace the native white population with non-whites. I haven't pin pointed the reason why they are doing this, but many have come up with some pretty good conclusions - but they get into anti-Semitism. Both major Partys are participating in this transformation, so don't look to the Republicans to save us; they're in on it up to their necks too. But the main point is it's happening. Whites, within 20 years will comprise less than 50% of the population in the USA. Within that <50% it will be an ageing population. By the 21st century's end, whites may not exist. Through low birth rates and mecegination whites very possibly could go extenct. Oh, and BTW, the ethnic clensing of whites is happening to every white nation on the planet.
The sad thing is the vast majority of whites don't seem to care. They are more concerned with saving sub-Saharan Africans or Hatians than their own race. Go figure... (scratching head).

Why can't we? Are Americans too girly=menschen compared to the Brits, or too dumb not to be brainwashed by Socialist Sammy? The Brits stayed hundreds of years in Asia and Africa.

Thanks for url on MyChrystal interview. I keep getting mixed signals about him. That he's a warrior is unquestioned. But his involvement with the Libworld agenda and also the deadly Rules of Engagement that are getting American soldiers killed and maimed? I still get mixed signals as to whether his hands are clean or not, and whether he has toadied to the Obots or not. If he is really for the "relaxing" of DADT so that open homosexuals are now welcome into the barracks shower, he is not mainstream military, although he may have toady talent (a skill cultivated by many ambitious officers.)

Gringoman, interesting article about Afghanistan from the New York Times. Made some of the same points that I made, but I don't think we should blow them into existance. We should liberate them and leave them beter off than when we came.

Watching Oreilly-It has taken him a long time to see that Afghn. is a loosing proposition. What is the plan?? Do we loose lives and spend hugh amts. money to win and then rebuild the country. Biden is right--secure Iraq and bomb aL Qaeda from a central area. As is we may loose Iraq as well.

I live eight miles from the mexican border--I think closing the border and creating an effective green card program should be done at same time as they compliment each other. Also I do not think there will be anything done because of the unions--They killed the bracero program years ago and they will still screw things up. (just my opinion)

I am a conservative but I can't help liking Fagan--She is very smart and I just can't help admiring her in spite of being miles apart on our views regarding politics
