Hey Monica, I posted this link on Bernard's Facebook page because I first heard about this book on Imus' show (and yes, I did buy it for a friend):

"There is a powerful and unmistakable link between failing erections and common medical ailments, including obesity, high cholesterol levels, hypertension, depression, sleep disorders, diabetes, and heart disease. When atherosclerosis develops, it starts to clog up the tiny vessels in the penis. The impact is often seen there first, long before it ever shows up in the coronary arteries of the heart, or in any of the other 100,000 miles of blood vessels that run throughout the body".

As you know, Bernard and Imus have been defending Gov. Paterson, so I came up with this defense for the excessive hike in cigarette taxes. Somewhere in this book, Dr. Lamm suggests that people should quit smoking.

I wonder if General McChrystal smokes. I bet HE doesn't need Viagra.

It is more difficult to be "up" in the early morning. Why is that? I do not smoke (noxious, insidious, pernicious thing). At least I feel slower.

As more revelation emerge, it has become clearer that Obama has no long form birth certificate, but only a short form. The conclusion is that he was born outside the US, and that he then lied about being born in Honolulu. The short form sufficed to establish eligibility for office to the Democrats.

AS some candidates for office say they served in the military when they did not, Obama lied about his birthplace for the sake of obtaining votes. Furthermore to cover this up, he has sealed all his records to keep people from seeing that he claims foreign citizenship on occasion. Both a foreign birth and claims of a foreign citizenship would have sunk his support, as most Blacks thought he was linked to Jeremiah Wright, Chicago, and the old Baptist Southern slave culture.

M/M,

Natural men know what the real Viagra is, but can't say. It would offend the politically correct, NOW would feel humiliated, and the ad revenue for those hideous radio and TV commercials would plummet.

By speaking elementary fact, Truther will be dubbed a "birther" not only by LibWorld and its media hacks, but also the likes of "conservatives" in the corporate mold of Senatorial candidate Carly Fiorina. Republicans in general will either agree openly with a Fiorina type, or just run and hide from the issue. Monica's position is interesting---especially since nobody here knows exactly what it is.

Truther, do you exercise? Even if you start walking, it will help.

People are saying that it is unfair to tax smokers because they are underrepresented by the poor. When I quit, I was going through the hardest time in my life. I lost my job and was grieving a friend. The shrink wasn't working and kept prescribing Prozac.

I joined a free trial at a health club, started swimming and quit smoking.

My body chemistry changed and I just naturally drank less caffeine and became addicted to exercise. I ended up waking up earlier because I wanted to go to the gym in the morning.

Take a walk Truther.

M/M,

These are like strays that come into Monica's Internet parlor and leave their droppings on her carpet. Nobody here wants to go to their stinking lairs, but they want to come here. The main difference is that stray dogs off the street don't hide behind anonymity while making judgements on the regulars here who have revealed something of their own backgrounds during months or years of posting. Do they have any real pride or self-respect? What could they have, as we see them returning again and again to where they are clearly un-invited and unwanted? That tells you about their mentality and (sic)character. If this is not pathetic, what would you call it? Not even dogs keep returning to where they are clearly unwanted. So. between dogs and these trolls, who has more sense and self-respect?

Without even knowing it, they are avatars of Libworld's
dirty double standard (Which GRINGOBRO has defined definitively)

Can't the Obots do better? The stray who excretes under the label 'JPM' now seeks to "enlighten" us about this COLPO of West Point, who he says will replace McChrystal. The dumb-dumb, of course, hasn't a clue that Mike Colpo has been revealed for years, at www.militarycorruption.com, as the notorious "No-Combat Colpo," the essence of a military bureaucrat who has made a career out of dishonor. Everybody in the military knows what these types are. The classic term for these armchair warriors is REMS (Rear Echelon Mofos.)

That this stray would come in here and "educate" us about this "improvement" over the warrior McChrystal, is a perfect give-away of their globo-socialist agenda: To get their way, they feel they must accelerate the Gross National Product of US emasculatos, since natural men strike them as "obstacles" to the agenda. This is what gives the ideologue's otherwise meaningless existence a sense of power and meaning, or so he thinks.

A common dog does not think that, and knows when to go.

On the topic of smoking:
I grew up on a farm and we raised tobacco. I will never defend the bad habit of smoking, dipping, or chewing. I will however defend your right to do so as long as it is legal, and in the proper location, namely outdoors. My concern for years has been that government has taken every course possible except the correct one. Why is it ok to tax something into non-existence? If you want tobacco use to be illegal, go to congress, the FDA, or petition local leaders and make it illegal. I don't think taxes were intended to curb behavior before the war on tobacco. I thought taxes were supposed to raise revenue.

I agreed with Monica on General Stanley McChrystal this morning. Imus called it Machiavellian....McChrystal has allied himself with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the Rolling Stone article...nuff said.

I believe that McChrystal wants out, and doesn't want to be scapegoated by this present incarnation of the Obama Administration.

I say "Present" because this crap sandwich is being held together presently by Rahm Emmanuel, and the rats are going to start jumping from this sinking ship.

Palin racks up two more wins
By Shane D'Aprile - 06/22/10 09:58 PM ET

Two South Carolina Republicans who received the backing of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin emerged victorious in their run-off elections Tuesday.

Palin had endorsed gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley and publicly stuck with her amidst allegations of an extra-marital affair. She also endorsed Republican Tim Scott against Paul Thurmond in South Carolina's 1st congressional district.

Have any of you witnessed easy PhD's for students of third world countries? You are from Kenya, you are going back to Kenya and do not intend to live in the US, then you are mostly through your PhD program. Was Obama given easy degrees?

From Sebastian Junger's book "WAR" based on his time in 2007 with the Americans in Afghanistan......(NOTE: Caution. Read further only if you can weather what is politically incorrect in the extreme.....)

Junger's most hard-hitting material -- and most relevant to us Old Hacks from Vietnam --
> are his conclusions on war itself. Brutally honest stuff. To quote:
>
> "War is a lot of things and it's useless to pretend that exciting
> isn't one of them. It's insanely exciting. The machinery of war
> and the sound it makes and urgency of its use and the consequences of
> almost everything about it are the most exciting things anyone engaged
> in war will ever know. Soldiers discuss the fact with each other and
> eventually with their chaplains and shrinks and maybe even their
> spouses, but the public will never hear about it. It's just not
> something that anyone wants to have acknowledged.
>
> "War is supposed to feel bad because undeniably bad things happen in
> it, but for a 19-year-old at the working end of a .50 cal during a
> firefight that everyone comes out OK, war is life multiplied by some
> number that no one has ever heard of. In some ways 20 minutes of

On the subject of war, a little reported fact: last week the U.S. and Israel moved an Armada of warships headed for the Red Sea. Is an attack on Iran imminent? If so, hello WWIII... hello Samption Option...

===

June 20, 2010

More than twelve U.S. and Israeli warships, including an aircraft carrier, passed through the Suez Canal on Friday and are headed for the Red Sea. “According to eyewitnesses, the U.S. battleships were the largest to have crossed the Canal in many years,” reported the London-based newspaper al-Quds al-Arabi on Saturday.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported Egyptian opposition members criticized the government for cooperating with the U.S. and Israeli forces and allowing the passage of the ships through Egyptian territorial waters. The Red Sea is the most direct route to the Persian Gulf from the Mediterranean.

Retired Egyptian General Amin Radi, chairman of the national security affairs committee, told the paper that “the decision to declare war on Iran is not easy, and Israel, due to its wild nature, may start a war just to remain the sole nuclear power in the region,” according to Yedioth Internet, an Israeli news site.

The passage of a warship armada through the Suez Canal and headed for the Persian Gulf and Iran is apparently not deemed important enough to be reported by the corporate media in the United States."

Soggy, New York is INCAPABLE of cutting anything. Everytime they want to cut something, a group complains and they back down. The state is going bankrupt and people and businesses are leaving, so they have to fund their social programs and subsidize the unions with something.

Although I normally leave smokers alone, these smoker voted for the Democrats so I am enjoying this. They want their Democrats and social programs, let them pay.

I'm not feeling sorry for them. Most of my friends and family quit smoking years ago. I chain smoked and it was hard to quit, but I did it because I figured the LIEberals were doing me a favor.

The politicians are not giving me a choice when they raise most of my taxes, but at least I made the choice to not give them money by quitting.
