Cara Mia: For corrupt Corporate/Obamarxism, playing with cervixes and mammary glands is just a necessary part of consolidating the new socialist fascist state.

Will fearing the wrath of the electorate in 2010 stop their Congressional apparatchiks? Think so---when the new Corporate/Commie state can guarantee that the losers could make more money as lobbyists than they ever made in Congress? For active players in the Obamanation, even losing is just another way of winning. 2010? Heh. More of the Democrat-Republican musical chairs game. Haven't had enough of that yet?

Conclusion: It will take a wrath greater than the ballot box to focus their neo-com attention.

You heard it here.

Don't smoke, don't burn candles, don't run a fireplace, don't allow smoke into your home ever for any reason and you won't get cancer.

Prior to the 1920's and widespread smoking by women, women got cancer from cooking over wood burning stoves indoors. Ditto candles in small rooms.

Nonsmokers get cancer later in life from being raised in smoking households and/or working in smoke-filled workplaces.

Children get cancer from parents raised or living in carcinogenic environments. Sometimes in the womb.

Flame does not belong indoors. Not ever.

The Goal Is Freedom: The Mandated Health Insurance Outrage, How can they make us buy coverage?

http://www.thefreemanonline.org/tgif/the-mandated-health-insurance-outrage/

xbjllb

"How can they make us buy coverage?" - Michael Avari

----

That's exactly WHY there is a public option. So people who can't afford to won't HAVE to BUY coverage. And certainly not at Big Insura ef off "take it or take it" rates.

People who can afford to should have coverage. Couldn't be simpler.

If you can't, then sign up for the public option.

The problem is the GOP wants it both ways... wants insurance mandatory so they can bitch about it, but wants no public option so Big Insura can set any rape rates they want.

The same thing happened with car insurance. It became mandatory, and overnight rates went up 4-5 times.

Because there was no government PUBLIC OPTION competition.

Truther

Warm weather in the Winter, the beach, the sunsets .... and now 30% increase in tuition at UC. Abandon the state and give the state back to Mexico (Like New Mexico)? Or kick the illegals out, and go surfing?

There are new scanning devices, that can do mammography without splaying the breast out as they do. They give a 3D image, available in near real time, with a device that plugs into a wall receptacle, with far lower amounts of radiation.

Now a device like this, pays for itself in a short period, but the medical system milks this - they love repeat business like pharma likes vaccines. As a consequence they charge as much as possible for these basic services. All you need is a room, the device, and someone to read/review the digital output. This could be done extremely cheaply.

The med system instead threatens to cut off services, and cause poor women's hearts beating in fear of immanent cancer.

a) Mandating insurance coverage is a violation of indiviudal freedom and could be unConstitutional. No where else are consumers mandated to buy a product by government, except auto insurance--but that is because we drive on public roads.

b) Mandating insurance coverage for the middle class has nothing to do with providing insurance for the poor. The poor have insurance: Medicaid. The problem is, as in all welfare programs, it doesn't work well. The conservative solution is to scrap it and all state programs, and give the poor a voucher to exchange for health coverage on the open market.

c) With respect to the open market, it should be trulty open; i.e., we should be able to buy insurance across state lines, we should not have to be forced into PPOs, EPOs, HMOs, etc., and the insurance company should have to reimburse us, not the doctor. Combined with health savings accounts (HSA), this would encourage personal responsibility and improve doctor patient relationships while lower processing costs for doctors and hospitals.

All this can be done with free market principles without mandates, taxes, or government expenditures.

DJ

Make no mistake about it. This isn't about making sure everyone is insured. No, it's about redistribution of wealth and the government gaining control over every aspect of our lives.

Say good-bye to the social traditions of Edmund Burke and the economic traditions of Adam Smith.

Say hello to "hope and change", i.e., totalitarian custodial state.

Fantastic, since Christ invented "redistribution of wealth" and the unGodly rich in this country have gotten a free ride since Reagan.

When the disparity between rich and poor hits around where it was in 1955, then you can bitch and moan and people will actually listen.

Until then, you rich are up sh*t creek without a paddle.

Stephen Macklin

Didn't the Supreme Court rule that there were emanations and penumbras of the Constitution that protected the right to privacy in the doctor's office?

Is the left now saying that this idea of private choice is no longer valid?

Or am I just wrong to look to the left for intellectual honesty and consistency?

xbjllb

And another thing. The panel of doctors that changed the screening recommendations for women weren't politicians, have nothing to do with politicians, are the same folks that have been making screening recommendations for DECADES now, made their recommendations on the empirical medical evidence, and furthermore it is an admitted fact that human bodies are fighting off cancers from the day we're born.

Sometimes all early screening does is make money for hospitals and cause unnecessary complications from unneeded procedures.

That said and done, if you're an idiot woman who started smoking at 13, you'd better get screened every year for the rest of your life. For EVERY possible form of cancer. No matter what anyone says.

If you're buying your own insurance, you've got your medical info hidden from the gov, but not from Big Insura. Nothing changes.

If the gov is footing the bill, you don't, and you shouldn't either.

If the gov is paying, it behooves them to know what's going down so they can figure whether or not the taxpayer is being ripped off, and by how much, and end graft and corruption if and when they find it.

That is, IF you want to fix health care. And end the obscene profits by Big Insura.

But then, it's utterly stupid to look to the right for intellectual honesty and consistency.

First, where and when did Christ invent "redistribution of wealth"?!

Second, there are many "rich" in this country who are Godly and do good works.

Third, without the economic boom that came from Reagan's policy, we would a) have suffered under a protracted Carter "misery index", b) still be fighting the Cold War. Yes, the two are cognate.

Michael Avari

But of course, you're right. The RICH TAXPAYERS will be paying for it

- XBJLLB

We will all be paying for it. The Reid-Pelosi tax is on the middle class, just as the AMT is.

Further, you will be paying for it in a) higher debt, b) reduced Social Security and Medicare benefits when you retire, c) increased product prices as business passes mandated costs onto the consumer.

Reid Taxes as calculated by the Joint Committee on Taxation, A Nonpartisan House-Senate Committes of the United States Congress:

1. 40% Excise tax on High Value plans such as $8,500 for Individual and $23,000 for a couple. $149.1 billion in new taxes over the next ten years.
2. 0.5% Hike in Medicare Payroll Tax Hike, for single earners over $200,000 and joint earners over $250,000. $53.8 billion in new taxes over the next ten years.
3. Changes to Health Savings Accounts, Archer Medical Spending Accounts and Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements, $5 billion in new taxes.
4. Cap Flexible Spending Accounts at $2500 in cafeteria plans from the current status of unlimited FSA, $14.6 billion.
5. Increase Penalty for early non-qualified Health Savings Accounts Withdrawals from 10 to 20 Percent, $1.3 Billion.
6. Tax on Branded Drugs: manufacturers and importers of branded drugs that will cost taxpayers $22.2 billion.
7. Annual tax on the health insurers. $60.4 billion in new taxes over ten years.
8. Tax on companies who manufacture or import medical devices that will generate $19.3 billion in new taxes over the next ten years.
9. 0. 5% excise tax on cosmetic surgery. This is basically a new 5% federal sales tax on cosmetic surgeries and procedures. $5.8 Billion in new taxes over ten years.
10. Increase the floor of the Medical Expenses Deduction from 7.5% of Adjusted Gross Income to 10%. The floor for seniors will be maintained at 7.5%. This means that the cost of being sick has increased, and sick taxpayers will pay $15.2 billion in new taxes in the next ten years.
11. Eliminate the Deduction of Medicare Part D(prescription Drug Plan) generates $5.4 billion in new taxes over the next ten years.
12. Cap salaries for all employees of health insurance companies at $500,000 by making any remuneration all of that not deductible for tax purposes. $.6 billion over ten years.
13. Established mandates on employers of companies with more than fifty employees to provide health coverage or pay a fee, and requires individuals to maintain qualified health coverage or pay a fee. Companies would pay a penalty of $750 per employee if any employee obtained coverage through the insurance exchange. Full-time workers would have to accept company coverage unless company coverage would cost more than 9.8 percent when they could be on the government exchange, but companies would still face the $750 penalty yielding $36 billion over ten years.

Michael Avari

With respect to the CBO:

"The Senate bill, like the House, also includes a new government health care program for long term health insurance, the CLASS Act. The structure of the CLASS Act has premium collections raising revenues for the government in the first 10 years, appearing to aid in reducing the deficit. But the CBO points out that while the CLASS Act would generate net receipts for the government in the initial years when premiums would exceed total benefit payments, but would eventually lead to net outlays when benefits exceed premiums.”

With respect to your Social Security:

The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) observes, “The 2009 Social Security and Medicare Trustees Reports show the combined unfunded liability of these two programs has reached nearly $107 trillion in today's dollars! That is about seven times the size of the U.S. economy and 10 times the size of the outstanding national debt.” It is also twice the aggregate wealth of all American households.

Sure, Christians are supposed to provide charity for the poor. There's no doubt we are instructed by Christ to provide for those that cannot provide for themselves. But I'm SURE Christ NEVER said the Government should confiscate the wealth of the 'haves' to redistribute it to the 'have-nots'. Especially to pay socialized medicine that discriminates against women and pays for abortions and death panels - "You shall not commit murder". Furthermore, forced confiscation of wealth by the government is tantamount to violating the "You shall not steal" Commandment. I'm very sure Jesus would not approve of Obamacare.

SteveOk

"The War on Women" is absolutely real in this society and is led by the left in this country. I'm absolutely convinced that MSNBC is a bastion of sexist views starting with Keith Olberman. This guy has spent hours ranting against Sarah Palin and others on MSNBC have done the same thing. The root cause of their views is absolutely sexist hatred of women. Olberman is off his rocker and has some deep hatred of women that would have to looked at by people in white coats and not me.

This is only the tip of the iceberg if the Obama/Nancy Peloser health care bill passes. They will go after health care for women, the elderly, and others. Medical services will be rationed and science will be perverted to justify their political agenda.

The bottom line is that the Democratic Party wants to implement their leftwing agenda. They want to divert money to that agenda and they will take if from our military, from health care for women, the elderly, from their own mother in order to enact their social welfare state.

Breast cancer is a national crisis in this country and this idiots/morons want to reduce the number of women who get screened and monitored? What kind of bullcrap is that?

"But any true follower of Christ knows both are unconditionally and categorically wrong." - Michael Avari

----

Yes, and they used to say EXACTLY that about interracial marriage. For CENTURIES.

And SCIENCE.

And I'm going to listen, for a single second to a man who professes allegiance to the Church that perpetrated the Inquisition and the Crusades?

Any TRUE follower of Christ lives ONLY by Christ's wordS, His life and death pacifist example, and weighs ALL ELSE in full consideration of His wordS and life and death example.

Everything added to it by fallible human beings is erroneous, and worse yet, often ultimately blasphemous.

And is exactly how True Christianity became Catholicism became Fundamentalism became militant extremist ChristianISM/Zionism.

With an all-too-brief Reformation along the way.

If Christ, who hung out with prostitutes who were obviously practicing abortion to maintain their livelihoods, had thought abortion was in any way an IMPORTANT issue, HE WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE SAID SO.

If Christ, who never married, and traveled around the country with a group of unmarried men, had thought prohibiting homosexuality was in any way an IMPORTANT issue, HE WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE SAID SO.

ON THE OTHER HAND, WHAT ISSUES DID CHRIST CONSIDER IMPORTANT?

Religious Hypocrisy. Moneylending in the Temple. Usury. Hating your enemies. Bigotry against people who are different. Intolerance. Forcing faith on other people. THESE are Christ's concerns and Christ's issues.

Abortion, "protection of marriage", warmongering and war profiteering under the guise of self-defense; achieving political power to force false blasphemous beliefs on Americans in America and on earth on the OTHER HAND:

THESE ARE LUCIFER/SATAN'S ISSUES.

xbjllb

Is it better than what we have now?

Heavens, yes.

xbjllb

"The root cause of their views is absolutely sexist hatred of women." - SteveOK

----

The ONLY people who TRULY hate women in this country are the ones who are DESPERATE for them to start dying again in back alley coat hanger abortions.

Those people truly hate women. Jesus, who understood and loved prostitutes, knows this more than ANYONE.

Michael Avari

You are right about Christ inveighing against religious hypocrisy, hatred, etc.

You are wrong about Christ's view on prostitutes and adulterers. (It is a fallacy that Mary Magdeleine was a prostitute. This is never mentioned in the Bible.) Nevertheless, to your point, Christ forgave the sinner but admonished, "Go, and now sin no more." Clearly, Christ loved sinners not because He tolerated their sins but because He wanted to save them from their sins.

Incidentally, most of Christ's Apostles were married and had familes.

As for the Inquisition and the Crusades, you cannot understand these without first understanding the history of the Church and the context in which they occurred. The Inquisition was initiated to stamp out heresy (the kind of which you express!), while the Crusades were authorized to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Lands from the Muslims.

As we are all sinners, including the Pope, as a human condition, violations of morality occurred, as they do today in any religion. This does not diminish the authority and descendency of the Church directly from Christ.

Truther

Actually early Christians had an idea of a king and a God, like in old Egypt. This was a popular idea in Europe - divine right of kings and all that - father and then son, and daughter if need be.

The new legislation for healthcare is a hail mary, hoping for free care if the foreign trade pans out and government revenues increase. On the other hand, you can just call it -- a bailout -- of the medical care system. A system accustomed to getting all the primo considerations, all the best, all the time. And could there be bonuses for insurers? Probably, YES.

Of course, the cow will eventually run dry or just refuse to get up and go to work for those who lay on their a*ses all day, watching Oprah showing pornstars and the woman who got her face bitten off by a monkey.

Meaning, we are being forced to subsidize legions of ignoramus DEMONRAT voters.

.
.

Ummahgummah

.

This is equally pertinent as concerns subsidizingour home-grown precariate as well as importing millions more.

Most of all this pertains to paying off all sorts of Third World countries instead of lecturing them on doing for themselves and that our taxpayers are DONE working for others too lazy to work for themselves:

Rudyard Kipling

IT IS always a temptation to an armed and agile nation,
To call upon a neighbour and to say:
"We invaded you last night - we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away."

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ’em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation to a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say:
"Though we know we should defeat you, we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away.

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
For fear they should succumb and go astray,
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say:

"We never pay any one Dane-geld,
No matter how trifling the cost,
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!"

.

DJ

Ah yes, Rudyard Kipling.

The Stranger

The Stranger within my gate,
He may be true or kind,
But he does not talk my talk--
I cannot feel his mind.
I see the face and the eyes and the mouth,
But not the soul behind.

The men of my own stock,
They may do ill or well,
But they tell the lies I am wanted to,
They are used to the lies I tell;
And we do not need interpreters
When we go to buy or sell.

The Stranger within my gates,
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control--
What reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
Shall repossess his blood.

The men of my own stock,
Bitter bad they may be,
But, at least, they hear the things I hear,
And see the things I see;
And whatever I think of them and their likes
They think of the likes of me.

This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Really? They were married and had families?

Why not Priests then? If Christ didn't require celibacy of his own Holy Disciples, why then does Lucifer require it of Clergy?

The answer is quite obvious. To attract pedophiles to the priesthood. Which works brilliantly.

It is not my job nor intent nor desire to convert you from Catholicism to Christianity. None of the issues you believe in will da*mn you unless you choose the thing you believe to be Mary over the greater Light of Christ when your time comes.

It is my job to state Truth, as Christ taught, lived, and died it. And you can best believe that Christ completely washed His hands of the Catholic Church by the time the Inquisition and Crusades had come along.

And no amount of rationalization in a trillion years can atone for those sins.

NEMESIS OF THE NEOCOMS

ANN COULTER/////It cannot be said often enough that the chief of staff of the United States Army, Gen. George Casey, responded to a massacre of 13 Americans in which the suspect is a Muslim by saying: "Our diversity ... is a strength."

As long as the general has brought it up: Never in recorded history has diversity been anything but a problem. Look at Ireland with its Protestant and Catholic populations, Canada with its French and English populations, Israel with its Jewish and Palestinian populations.

Or consider the warring factions in India, Sri Lanka, China, Iraq, Czechoslovakia (until it happily split up), the Balkans and Chechnya. Also look at the festering hotbeds of tribal warfare -- I mean the beautiful mosaics -- in Third World hellholes like Afghanistan, Rwanda and South Central, L.A.

The beauty and depth of the Catholic Church is that it is a living body spawned from the works and words of Jesus. The wisdom of the Church is found not only in Christ but in the Divine Inspiration to saints, popes, and theologians as well.

There are formerly married priests, deacons, and religious in the Church. The Church wants newly formed priests to be married only to the Church, as Christ is--thus to be more fully like Him. The example for priests is not of the Apostles, but of Christ who was never married.

Guess what? Only Jesus Christ could be Jesus Christ.

The first temptation of Lucifer-Satan to Eve: "Ye shall be as God."

Elsewhere the Bible says "Know them by their works".

The work of celibacy is rampant pedophilia.

You might not know this, but your Church Fathers certainly do.

But they're too trapped trying to be as God to do anything rational about it.

God is always rational; always logical. Perfect Logic.

Her foundations are cracking. The principles that made her great have become corrupted. Our character has become tarnished and our moral fiber is corroded. We are in turmoil from incessant fighting. We have become a nation where everyone is a minority striving for "special interest." There is no "common sense." But our enemy is not from without, our enemy is within us. There is a "civil war" raging in the hearts and minds of Americans. Can we survive? Can America be saved?

Yes! However, we must take counsel from what was declared to our founding fathers by Benjamin Franklin: “If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?” He further declared: “We have been assured, in the Sacred Writings, that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.” Schmoltz ,maybe, but watch, learn, listen to the people.
