The New York trials are to keep the Americans held in Iran for espionage, from being tortured and executed. Right tactic?

---> Corrected from last thread:
Did Hitchens administer an intelligence test on all the subjects he mentioned?
I think not. Ergo, he thinks the more intelligent a person is the more they think like him.
Sorry about that garbled post, not to make excuses, but it seems I am reading too many of the illogical garbledygook spewed on here by LIEberals.
Today, Friday the 13th of November, is a day that shall live in infamy!
They are doing everything I prophecied they would and now we are on to silencing radio via the "fairness doctrine" - nice Goebbelian touch of Newspeak there - and the signing up of 20 - 30 million vote cattle for the DemonRATS, ie. Shamnesty for ILLEGALS.
I think it will take more than tea parties to stop those things.
They already passed a law criminializing people who chose no to in up for health care. "Big Insurance" must be jumping for joy!
Question: Can they pass a law forcing me to join a health club next?
Will my children have to be signed up for Pre-K or else?
Will they do mandatory DNA tests to determine what embryos should be carried out to birth and which should be aborted?
Will they condition us in Clockwork Orange fashion to stop drinking soft drinks and eating hamburgers?
I'd have never ever imagined that consuming a soft drink might soon be considered an act of defiance.

UBS and Goldman can retain banks offshore, but the US not terrorist prisoners.
The objection to Holder, the US citizens held in Iran aside, is that exposes NYC to terror all over, not to mention the people involved in the court proceedings.
I must agree.

There's a great movie on this topic which also deals with the SS eliminating the SA in I think it's Chiemgau, Bavaria. While the SA-boys were having their yearly orgy, Hitler's SS troops massacred them while they were at their most vulnerable.
The movie is called "The Damned" by Lucino Visconti and it deals extensively with the inter-connected dealings between Nazi State and its Corporate Underwriters, namely the Krupps.
We all know how that one ended and I pray that Wall Street realizes that they are making a Faustian bargain with the devil here.
They must be operating on the "Après moi le deluge" principle, coldly hanging us out to dry for what seems more and more like an emerging islamo-fascist State while they fancy themselves enjoying their spoils wrought from our bleeding pockets far away from the madding turmoil somewhere in a sheltered cove in South Sardegna or in some other fancy place.
My they be warned, the emerging World Government that the Obamanauts are intent on pushing down our throats will engulf them as well as us, it will only take little more time, that's all.
Both of these actors are chillingly ruthless and I am afraid the State side will win out, as it did over 70 years ago in Germany.
The future for Freedom hasn't looked this bleak since the bombing of London.

Lefties, certainly the Obamarxists, love to pretend that fascism is strictly right-wing, and not what they themselves are. I don't have to let them get away with it. But while the confusion about 'fascism' continues (despite it's founder, the socialist Mussolini) I prefer to pin them down with something precise. It's now clear as a bail-out that the Obamarxists and the corrupt ACORN and the corrupt union bosses are in bed with the most corrupt capitalists, and not just the ones on Wall Street.

C'EST LA GUERRE
A steady cold drizzle here in Military Region I, up near the DMZ on the border with North Vietnam. Press Camp fairly active. Bedding, satisfactory. Food, tolerable, if you're the tolerant sort. The trips out to Khe Sanh through the foggy mountains interesting. Best of all, the phone lines to Saigon worked.
Several days after arriving, this reporter left. A diligent Lieutenant discovered that we had been doing our work on the basis of a Vietnamese press card instead of a MACV (Military Advisory Command Vietnam) one.
ON VISITING LAOS
Ham Nghi, three klicks south of Khe Sanh proper, is the site of the Vietnamese headquarters for the operations in Laos. News people who want to get into Laos are brought here in US helicopters from Quang Tri. Most, so far, haven't made it into Laos.
The danger, the often dark skies, the shortage of Vietnamese helicopters are only part of the reasons why. One of the most important reasons.....

"Lefties, certainly the Obamarxists, love to pretend that fascism is strictly right-wing, and not what they themselves are." - Gringo
Wow. You're both close.
America has been fascist since the end of WWII. It started with Operation Paperclip, and it never ended. Eisenhower warned it would evolve out of the military-industrial complex, which is why I am so anti-offense industry.
The two-Party "system" has been basically a bought-and-paid for pony show sham since then, with both major parties on the take. However, the freedoms taken in exchange for security came to an all-time peak during the Cheney Administration, which is why the right wing gets all the flack. Those cretins were not really American right wing, but more technically multinational con men, war criminals, and multinational crime bosses.
However, if you're going to involve yourself in politics to any extent at all, it is always a game of choosing what and who you believe to be the lesser evil, depending, of course, on your own concerns and biases.
"Do you think he ever dared to 'know' a woman?
More than once?"
You can ask my "ex"; IF you can find her, and IF she's even alive. I unfortunately lost touch years ago against my wishes.
It would be HER business whether she wanted to dish or not; it's not the way I do life.
P.S. I prefer male friendship. Like most long suffering long married guys who can't stand the wives except for short periods of time. Bur maybe that's because I never hooked up with the right woman.
But my women have never been NFL or NBA or MBL or NHL widows.

Did the Obama sycophants in the media report he lifted the ban on immigrants with HIV? This guy doesn't miss a trick does he? There's no doubt Obama and his ilk are deliberately and systematically destroying what's left of the USA:
Obama Lifts HIV Immigration Ban
By Jon Feere, November 1, 2009
President Obama has announced the elimination of immigration provisions which ban entry of immigrants with HIV in a move that will undoubtedly increase HIV infection cases in the United States. The background to this change and the Bush Administration’s role was discussed in an earlier Center for Immigration Studies blog.
The Obama Administration's new rule will eliminate a clause in the Immigration & Nationality Act (INA) that denies admission to those with HIV. In 1993, a clause specifically designed to reduce the spread HIV/AIDS into the United States was added to the INA; it was passed by the Senate with a vote of 76 to 23. It reads:
"Any alien who is determined (in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Health and Human Services) to have a communicable disease of public health significance, which shall include infection with the etiologic agent for acquired immune deficiency syndrome…is inadmissible." (8 USCS § 1182)
It is the responsibility of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to determine whether a disease qualifies as a "communicable disease of public health significance." By making this change, President Obama has declared that HIV is no longer a communicable disease of public health significance. Politics, it seems, has triumphed over public health.
Still, HHS did provide some numbers. Based on their estimates, every year anywhere from 1,073 to 6,409 HIV-infected immigrants would be granted legal permanent residency.
Anywhere from 170 to 1,014 people in the United States will become infected as a result of the policy change, costing anywhere from $4 million to $22 million in health care expenditures for this "onward transmission."
Overall, the estimated health care cost of removing HIV from the list of "communicable diseases of public health significance" may range from $19 million to $173 million in the first year alone. HHS explains that this will obviously double the second year as a new wave of immigrants arrives, triple the third year, and so on.
The entire rule and additional HHS analysis is available online."

Why Dobbs Quit CNN: Birthers, Politics
Friday, November 13, 2009 5:27 PM
By: Jim Meyers
Lou Dobbs walked away from CNN — and $9 million — under pressure to tone down his rhetoric as the network seeks a more centrist position among the cable news channels.
Dobbs announced his resignation from "Lou Dobbs Tonight" on the air Wednesday night following months of friction between the veteran newsman and CNN brass.
The beginning of the end, the New York Post is reporting, came in July when CNN President Jonathan Klein told Dobbs' staff in a memo to stay away from so-called "birther" stories about doubts that Barack Obama was really born in the United States.

I see. It's Ahmadoojihad. I have a slight problem with it. This shot, in my opinion, flatters Ahmadoojihad. It's more appealing than the usual fotos of him.
November 14, 2009 at 11:04 AM
"CNN President Jonathan Klein told Dobbs' staff in a memo to stay away from so-called "birther" stories about doubts that Barack Obama was really born in the United States."
I think the birther issue is more a secondary concern to the CNN execs. What is of real concern to them is "immigration reform" i.e., amnesty for 20-30 million illegal aleins. I beleive CNN and the Obama Administration are working in concert to make sure amnesty becomes a reality. Lou Dobbs is a stumbling block in their path, therefore he was pressured to resign. Hopefully FNC will pick him up.

Like it or not, those that reproduce the most rapidly, cleanup evolutionary-wise. So we have the Out-of-Africa,
thing happen, transforming the global landscape.
Why have we not found more ancient pre-humans other places than Africa? Could it be that early reseacher were English, they only had access to Africa, and the Africans seemed rather primitive? I mean, they did not get far beyond L. Victoria. I say, is that you Livingstone? Even the name, Livingstone, seems to impart the idea of a living fossil.
November 14, 2009 at 11:39 AM
Here is a hypothetical based on Mark Levin's recent interview with Debra Burlingame, both of them furious with Obama's decision to remove Islamic war criminals from a military tribunal and have them, instead, tried like US citizens for civilian "alleged" illicit acts, with all the legal ruses and delays and monkey-wrenching that 'law-yahs' know how to promote in US courts?
Debra Burlingame is the sister of American Airlines pilot Charles Burlingame whose plane was seized by the jihadis and crashed into the Pentagon, as passengers made frantic last minute calls to family, describing the hijacking, as death rushed at them.
Here's the hypothetical: What if, during this Levin-Burlingame interview, a little skunk rushed at them, screaming, "YOU IDIOTS! BUSH AND CHENEY DID THAT! WHO CARES WHAT THESE WATER-BOARDED MUSLIM VICTIMS NOW SAY? STOP BEING PLAYED BY THE WARMONGERS LIKE A CHILD'S TOY PISTOL! DON'T YOU GENIUSES GET IT?"
Ummah, in said scenario, what do you think would have happened to said skunk?
November 14, 2009 at 11:59 AM
I mean, the Out-of-Africa idea suggests that the Africans were mindless penises with legs, but it neglects to mention that thy managed to get in, wherever they went.
This also begs the question of where the like of Neanderthals and Peking man came from, i.e. those pre-men that were assimilated by the African nomads.
I realize this addresses old political issues.
November 14, 2009 at 12:20 PM
I think Levin would have clocked whoever it was.

Stop the Next Big Government Bailout!
Big government’s bailout mania seems to know no bounds. First came the mortgage bailout that rewarded reckless borrowers and high-flying lenders who made bad decisions when the market was booming. Then taxpayers had to endure the TARP abomination as we were told Wall Street needed the money. Then there was Obama’s infamous “stimulus” plan; more easy money for irresponsible banks and businesses. And then the auto-bailout turned a failing General Motors into “Government Motors” overnight.
We have had more than enough. Yet President Obama, joined by some of his liberal allies in Congress including Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, and Barbara Boxer, are pushing yet another bailout…the Energy Bailout.
This latest bailout will benefit a handful of rent-seeking companies such as Duke Energy and Caterpillar Construction through the passage of a massive cap and trade energy rationing scheme that will help their bottom-lines, but stick taxpayers with the bill.
Sign the Petition and let Congress know this next taxpayer-funded bailout will not stand!
[MA note: It is time to end all corporate lobbying and political contributions. A corporation is an artificial entity created to limit the personal liability of its shareholders. Corporations are not people and they should not be granted the same rights afforded individuals.]
Michael Avari |
November 14, 2009 at 01:57 PM
Looks like our islamo-coddling MA saw "the Corporation", which was made by a Canakook leftist and thus full of America-bashing, but it did have a core truth to it, namely that corporations are legal constructs that have way too many rights and far too few responsibilities.
The right to lobby Congress should indeed be abolished for BOTH corporations as well as SOWd.. er.. I mean foreign governments!
All they end up doing is paying our poloticians to act counter to the interests of the American People.
November 14, 2009 at 03:10 PM
PS. you know they're gonna bail out their pet media slimes like the NYT, etc.. while they ruthlessly suppress the one media that makes money, namely radio!
November 14, 2009 at 03:13 PM
a) The idea of treating corporations like the artificial entities that they are came not from a movie but from conservative/libertarian Milton Friedman and was later supported by liberals Robert Reich and Lester Thurow;
b) one conclusion from this postulate is that corporations should not be afforded lobbying rights;
c) another is "they" should be immune from criminal prosecution [individuals within the corporation, however, should not be immune]; and
d) corporations should not be taxed: all profits should accrue to the shareholders and taxed at their indiviudal rates; i.e., an end to double taxation of capital.
"d" alone would do more to bring us out of recession, quicker, than all the bailouts, TARPs, stimuli, and other crazy Washington schemes combined. The Republican Party is too vapid to think of this, and right wingers [not to be confused with conservatives] are too enamored of TV and radio ratings to talk about it.

Maybe all the bad news has caused me to go too far around the bend but I've never trusted the Bushes. I perceive them as Globalists through and through. Their agenda is to blend the USA into the Third-world. Just look at what happened under the watch of GW.
1) Bungled the War in Afghanistan. The main objective was to annihilate Al Qaeda and capture or kill Bin Laden and his top leadership. Politics allowed Bin Laden escape to Pakistan. The original mission morphed into nation building.
2) The war in Iraq could prove to be one of the biggest military blunders in the history of the US. Bush and Co. took us to war under the pretext that Saddam was stockpiling WMD and developing nuclear weapons. None of which were true. Then the mission turned into a nation building operation.
These two wars are costing the draining the treasury at the tune of 650 to 700 billion dollars per year.
3) He allowed an estimated 15 to 20 million aleins to invade our country via the southern border. When the Minutemen volunteered to try to stop the invasion, Mr. Bush called them "vigilantes".
4) During the period between Sept. !! 2001 to Jan. 29 2009 the population of middle-eastern muslims increased twofold due mainly to his LIBERAL immigration policies.
5) Under the watch of Mr. Bush, the national debt DOUBLED.
6) Mr. Bush signed numerous "free trade" agreements with third world countries and regions, thereby pitting our workforce against third world slave labor wages...
7) He was and ardent supporter of amnesty for 20 to 30 million illegal aleins.
The truth is Bush & co., the "compassionate conservative" and his band of neo-cons, screwed the country up beyond belief. It is in their best interest to pass the baton to Obama. Obama is simply carrying on Bush and companies' globalist agenda. Obama is the perfect candidate to do so because his race and skin color gives him a great amount of insulation from criticism. Anyone who criticizes Obama runs the risk of being labled a racist and cast in to outer darkness with the other so called "social misfits".

This article also features Judge Mukasey who presided over the trial of the Blind Sheikh in the first attack on the WTC in the early 90's. Mukasey denounces the Obama folly of bringing these Islamic war criminals to a NY court.
ps. Another point on how dangerous this is was not mentioned by Mukasey. It is not mentioned in the Government-Media Flunkey complex either (have I missed something?) However, Rudy Giuliani did mention it yesterday. Giuliani knows Mukasey well. Giuliani said that since the trial of the Blind Sheikh, Mukasey and his family have been threatened by muslims repeatedly.
pps. Giuliani disclosed this ominous fact yesterday. On Talk Radio. I have yet to hear it in Flunkey Media.
Yes, Talk Radio is the medium, as we've been informed here, which is "interested in ratings."
