A Forgotten Terrorist Attack

Tonight, the man convicted of killing 10 people in sniper attacks around Washington, DC in 2002 is scheduled to be executed. Born John Allen Williams, he enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard in 1978 and volunteered for active duty in 1985. Two years later, he converted to Islam. He then became known as John Allen Muhammad. After his arrest, he admitted that he admired Osama bin Laden and approved of the September 11 attacks. His younger partner, Lee Boyd Malvo, drew pictures describing the killings as part of "jihad."

The DC sniper attacks were terrorist attacks. They were not "crimes." They were not the actions of a "stressed" or "deranged" man. They were the acts of a true-believing jihadist who wanted to take down as many of the infidel as possible before dying himself.

Sound familiar? John Allen Muhammad could have been bunkmates with Ft. Hood terrorist Major Nidal Malik Hasan.

Hasan wouldn't have been in the military in the first place if political correctness hadn't been woven into its cultural fabric.

Of course the military must first rid itself of orthodox Muslims.. that's a given. But ultimately, they need to get to the root of the problem: Political correctness.

Sunday on Fox News I was taken aback by Col. David Hunt - someone I always thought was a good guy. While commenting on the heroic actions of the female officer that ended Hasan's carnage[Sgt. Kimberly Munley], he shamelessly used the occasion to criticize the military for its policy of banning women from direct combat. He expanded on his PC nonsense by criticizing the policy that bans homosexuals from serving openly. He said: (paraphrasing) "Gender nor someones sexual practices shouldn't be used as criteria to exclude someone that wants to serve in the military. We need all the qualified people we can get." He further compounded his PC lunacy by stating: "WHITE-MALES are the ONLY group that are protesting women in combat and to homosexuals serving openly." Note: There's the Left's obligatory attack on white-males AGAIN!

Even the lib Colin Powell had the capacity to understand the negative ramifications -- especially on morale -- that would eventuaute by allowing women combat, and 'gays' to serve openly.

What we have, in the case of Jihad paranoiacs, is a textbook example of self-fulfilling prophecy. Alternating from chicken littles, running around crying "the sky is falling" to actually hatching plots, shooting at the sky, and cursing it to come down, eventually some pieces of the sky are going to come down, and then they can all say "See? Told ya!"

This does not mean, for a single second, that THEY are not the crazy ones, nor that they are not the ones responsible for fulfilling their very own prophecies.

Is it a possibility the government knew in advance Hasan was going to do what he did? Furthermore, did they LET him do it so as to justify Obama reneging on his promises not to escalate the war in Afghanistan? Was this a ploy to whip up public sentiment in favor of said escalation?

Didn't see the video, but I did hear here on Hannity admitting that it was a mistake and that she is taking responsibility for her mistake. She is also only 22.

As for defending her, who is Perez Hilton to call her that word? Carrie Prejean did nothing wrong and her opinion is shared by millions of Americans including the President of the U.S.

I stand by her and respect HER STRENGTH.

I have heard the Ft Hood event was actually a jihadi attack, that has been creatively reshaped into an incident with a crazed individual instead, so as not to give credence to the actual existence of domestic attacks. Several have actually occurred, and I say that to convey information, and not to spread Islamic terror. I do not think people feel any sense of terror, whatever had happened at Ft Hood.

I have heard that soldiers were hesitant to express concern about Islamic soldiers; but I also believe the possibility exists that these Islamic soldiers were given preferred treatment, including promotions because 1) presidential reformulation regarding terror and Islam, and 2) to mollify them to keep them from turning toward the enemy.

This reverse logic is one way to handle them in the service. The other way is to exclude them from service in regions where they might have pangs of conscience, conflicts of interest, or opportunities for demonstrative jihad.
