"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself."

Strange...you haven't posted anything about Palin....

I was listening to your show today (It was your 4th of July show being playing on Sunday) and I could not believe how many times you referred to events 234 years ago.
The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, not 1775. That makes it only 233 years ago!

Mr. Jefferson,
Was that the same God who gave us Goldman Sachs?
And here's a very interesting viewpoint to get your blood boiling:

(Foxnews)WASHINGTON -- Colin Powell, one of the nation's most prominent African-Americans, is going after people who attacked Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor because of her stand in favor of affirmative action.
Powell, who's from the same Bronx neighborhood in New York as Sotomayor, said she should face "a spirited set of hearings" in the Senate. But he said the federal appeals court judge, who would be the first Hispanic justice, shouldn't be condemned for ruling against white firefighters who contended they suffered reverse discrimination.
"What we can't continue to have is to have somebody like a Judge Sotomayor ... called a racist, a reverse racist and she ought to withdraw her nomination because we're mad at her," Powell said in an interview broadcast Sunday on "State of the Union" on CNN.
------------------------------------------
Ok, first he votes for Obama and now he is defending Sotomayor's nutty vote in the Firefighters Case. I don't get this guy, why don't he just join Arlen (B. Arnold) Spector and join the Democratic Party? He is certainly entitled to his views but his views are totally opposite from the Republican Party. In all the time C. Powell has been in the public spotlight I've never heard him ONE TIME SPEAK OUT FOR ANY CONSERVATIVE VALUE, NOT ONE TIME, EVER. He doesn't believe anything that the average Repubican holds dear. He is more in line with Harry Reid, Nancy Peloser, and Barney Frank.

For all the conservatives whining about the excessive Michael Jackson coverage, the friends of Jenny Sanford were just interviewed on “Good Morning America”. Even Robin Roberts said, “but I thought we going to talk about Wimbledon”.
I thought they were going to TRY to stay out of the news for awhile.
I was listening to Ann Coulter on Alan Colmes show yesterday discuss politicians who have affairs and they brought up David Vitter. Never once did they focus on the good things David Vitter has done since the scandal, like this:

Thanks, AVERAGEJOELE, that's cute...Still for Monica who girl-crushed Palin, calling her "Ann Margret in "Kitten with a Whip"" and saying how she was so much more qualified than Obama to remain silent...
Well....she's becoming the female version of Bill Kristol...

ANNOUNCEMENT/////////This is just an announcement of a little Legacy Project from the war in Vietnam (and Cambodia.) It will digitize and upload one man's experiences and observations, especially those recorded in the controversial column, SAIGON NOTES, and the earlier series, ETCETERA that appeared in the Saigon Post. These comprise over 150 articles under the byline 'DANIEL CAMERON.' Later I may add some of the "well-behaved" reportage done for NEWSDAY, THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE, The CHICAGO SUN-TIMES and finally for CBS after its entire staff fled in the famous panic during the 'Story of the Decade,' i.e,the Fall of Saigon (an in-house story that remains in the CBS Memory Hole to this day.)
In general the period covered ranges from late 1969, when President Nixon began to 'Vietnamize' the Democrats' war, gradually phasing out US forces, to the fateful Spring of 1975, when most Americans were gone, Nixon had been Watergated out of office, and Congress refused emergency aid to the South Vietnamese as Hanoi's Communist Army rolled South, less than two years after the famous Paris Ceasefire and Peace Accords of Nixon's Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho.
The digitizing project will start today (July 4) with the very first SAIGON NOTES (September 28, 1970) reproduced at http://www.gringoman.com / The subsequent will appear sporadically at that site, possibly weekly, one at a time, concurrently with storage in the digital warehouse. These re-publishings will be somewhat redacted for clarity. The originals are full of typos. (The Chinese typesetter sweating in his underwear in a wartime basement did not have even a GED in English.)
Note to ideologues of any stripe: In Saigon everyone read these columns and not a few were offended, especially members of the crack Saigon press corps, like NEWSWEAK. If you are not offended right away, just be patient. Of course I wouldn't write exactly like this today, being slightly more civilized. I certainly wouldn't be so mean to a poor Gloria Emerson, late of the NY Times. But the historical record compels me, in the main, to stick to the original, even when it offends even me. (Typo-cluttered originals are microfilmed somewhere or other by someone or other.)
The items in the first SAIGOn NOTES appear under the headers ENTER SIR ROBERT/EXIT JAMES STERBA/DIAMOND DADDY DILEMNA/CLYDE AND CHARLEY/FOR MISS GLORIA EMERSON.

Ummah,
Sounds good to me. Now maybe you have to run it by Rush or Savage.
And for some reason I suspect that Savage, at least, might agree with gringoVision too: Obot America is, or soon will be. ready for a lOBOTomy.
Could sound out Monica on Oconomy and/or Lobotomy. Oh, wait. That would mean a bit of communicado with commentariat.

There is a way to stop all of us. The best way is to write your senators and let them hear what you have to say. Believe me, if they knew, they wouldn't do half the things they think they can get away with. But people just like to complain and not do anything about it. Change in this country was always achieved by a small minority who stood up for what they believed. For example, write your senators and tell them to vote NO o any form of the "cap and trade" bill including H.R. 2454, the Waxman-Markey energy tax bill. Do you want to pay up to 3 times as much for electricity? No, we can't afford it, especially now..and the President has admitted that our electric bill will definitely go up, but in the end everyone and everything will be energy efficient. And the entire bill is based on global warming theories, which are to date unproven.

Speaking of the Fall of Saigon, and the wave of optimism after the Kissinger Paris Peace Accord, and the US withdrawal, and how many of us there remained sceptical, one wonders if a Fall of Baghdad is now shaping up. La plus ca change, plus ca reste le meme chose?
Kirkuk Bomb Kills Iraq Peace Hopes After U.S. Pullout (Update1)
By Daniel Williams
July 6 (Bloomberg) — Jamal Tahir Bakr, police chief of the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, expected the euphoria over the U.S. withdrawal from Iraqi cities to end, just not so quickly.
A car bomb blew up a city bazaar and killed 37 people on June 30, the official withdrawal date. It put an end to any illusion that the U.S. pullout, coupled with heightened control by the Iraqi police and army, would bring peace, he said.
“People were getting hypnotized by the idea that normal times were here,” Bakr said in an interview the day after the bombing. “It didn’t make any difference how much you warned them, they had it in their heads. And then the bomb. The real situation is now clear: The problems are not over.”

Here's the story that made me realize and believe Obama is CIA, and has been for a very long time. Then too, there was those nude Christmas photos of his mother that showed up last Christmas. Not fakes either, VERY Mata Hari. Just the sort of thing The Agency would be up to to infiltrate Black Power movements in the US in the 60's.
http://www.rense.com/general84/brck.htm
Now, either Obama was a double agent or the ambassador's wife was.
Or maybe they both were.
Your call. But at least now you know why the citizenship issue isn't gaining any traction whatsoever, when the mere fact of how much money and effort he's spending to HIDE it should be the major issue of his entire "Presidency".
