I heard Bidet .. er.. Biden.. talk about the Oconomy they "inherited".

Let's not forget that before the election the MSM were down talking the economy with vigorous fervor.

When DO they "own" it? Does the media ever bother ASKING?

The only truth that I ever heard out of Bidet-mouth is that the Bama would "be tested".

Boy is he beinbg tested!

Let's hope the Russians don't trick this naive fool too much!

Lord knows the SOWdis, the iranians, the Pals and the Paks already have!

TESTING!!!

(Monica)The Biden says they "misread" how bad the economy was?
----------------------------------------
If they only knew how bad the economy actually is they would have proposed even more in "stimulus" spending. Biden is making an argument for more spending in the "cap and tax" bill and the government takeover of health care. That is what Biden's argument appears to be, and he is making a justification for more spending with cap and tax and health care. What a stroke of timing. The original "stimulus" plan is working because the economy is worse than they realized and now we need even more spending (through the "cap and tax" and health care takeover). That's what Biden is saying, we need more spending/taxes because it's worse than we thought and the original "stimulus" wasn't enough.

xbjllb

God Himself couldn't fix this economy, and He'd be the last to try.

Sometimes you just have to tear everything down and start over. Too much paper. Too much BS. Not enough gold.

I have an idea... let's try with a President who actually WAS a natural-born citizen of the USA, and who's husband presided over the longest peacetime run of economic expansion in our nation's history. You know, someone who had a track record of putting together the best team possible to get the job done. To at least have a chance at getting the job done.

Nah, too easy... in with the clueless CIA bureaucrat and his Wall Street Fed Reserve gargoyles who got us in this mess in the first place while George Bush was down on the ranch in Crawford pickin' his nose (at least that's what they SAID was causing those nosebleeds...)

EminemsRevenge

Freedom demands more, NOT LESS, from people. It demands that WE gauge our own behaviour, that WE monitor our own institutions, make our own mistakes, and correct them. A democracy forces its members to make those decisions themselves and then live with the consequences. Freedom demands INDIVIDUAL and COLLECTIVE DISICPLINE.....

but y'all so busy sinlessly casting stones instead of living up to the simple fact that REAGANOMICS DON'T WORK!!!

Sooner or later Obama is gonna realise that you cannot export democracy, so he'll totally sever THOSE misguided commitments, THEN he'll realise he will have to use some of the old New Deal programs to FIX 28 years of Reganistic economics, which like communism, can never prosper!

Sovereign_1

Why is it that the one constant the American people can count on is that politicians lie the most just before an election??? Yanno what? The people ARE stupid! Stupid for forgetting that ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! And, UNTIL they start holding politicians to account for their lies, the people will continue to send politicians to the whorehouse on the Potomac and continue to get the CONSEQUENCES THEY ELECT!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Fool me once, Shame on You! Fool me twice, Shame on Me!"

Truther

We have green shoots. We need to stay positive.

Positivism caused McNamara, exec extraordinaire, to go without sleep, attend endless committee meetings without attention loss, and for what? To hear only positive things about the goings on of the war? These people were actually fakes, not really having a grip on the character of the war.

The same is true of Obama. He is apparently accepting of all banking advice he receives, and his role is to stay positive. Everyone is on the same page there, and no one, possibly, has a grip on this economic crisis. I do not believe, given the manner in which the lobbies perform their tasks, that any sensible legislation is possible. Obama is no leader. No one follows him. They need a wake up call.

Doug

Boy, Does She Think We're Stupid. It's been almost a week and nothing about Palin. Nothing about the Ann Margaret kitten with a whip or whatever sexually charged metaphor Crowley suggested...interesting...

Sovereign_1

Truther, that 'wake up call' WILL come. And, if you are true to your name, you know PRECISELY what I mean... What we had better hope for is that when we are awakened, there will be enough of us left to get up and do what will need to be done to save the country!

(Monica)The Biden says they "misread" how bad the economy was?

--

Steve, I think it's more ominous than that. I think they know what they are doing and how bad it really is.

This statement by the mouth is designed to get us ready for the "need" to raise taxes "when we really didn't want to".

I figure the MSM will pick up the ball first so as to provide cover for our taxman-in-chief.

Read my lips: Tax hikes on the Middle Class ahead.

Thinking positive worked wonders on the Titanic. Especially in second class, locked below, where most of us are traveling.

In fact, you can credit positive thinking for the wreck itself... the ship that "could not be sunk" was plunging full speed ahead into an iceberg laden sea. Call it "Ship Exceptionalism".

I'm sure the Captain was thinking positive as he went down with the ship:

"This will all be over soon."

Thanks to Ummah and gringoman, at least there is concise clarity in what the problem is and what needs to be done about it.

Diagnosis: It's the Oconomy, Stupid.

KENYA'S BARRY BABY

gringoNOTE: Libniki point out that World Net Daily is a Christian-oriented site. The Lib implication is that it cannot be as reliable as their non-Christian sites e.g. VANITY FAIR doing its un-sourced hit job on Sarah Palin. The following is from WND.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

WND is in possession of an affidavit submitted by Rev. Kweli Shuhubia, an Anabaptist minister in Kenya, who is the official Swahili translator for the annual Anabaptist Conference in Kenya, and a second affidavit signed by Bishop Ron McRae, the presiding elder of the Anabaptists' Continental Presbytery of Africa.

In his affidavit, Shuhubia asserts "it is common knowledge throughout the Christian and Muslim communities in Kenya that Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., was born in Mombasa, Kenya."

Shuhubia further states in his affidavit that he visited Obama's grandmother at her home in the village of Alego-Kogello, on Oct. 16, 2008, in order to conduct a telephone conference interview that would connect with McRae in the United States.

During the telephone interview, McRae specifically asked Sarah Obama two times, "Were you present when your grandson was born in Kenya."

"Both times she specifically replied, 'Yes,'" Shuhubia affirmed in the affidavit.

"Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama was very adamant that her grandson, Senator Barack Hussein Obama, was born in Kenya, and that she was present and witnessed his birth in Kenya, not the United States," Shuhubia continued in the affidavit.

"During the conversation, Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama never changed her reply that she was indeed present when Senator Barack Obama was born in Kenya," Shuhubia insisted in the affidavit.

The affidavit documents that President Obama's step-grandmother was asked the questions several times, both in her native language, Swahili, and in English, and that the Anabaptists conducting the interview were confident she understood clearly the questions that were asked.

"Ms. Sarah Hussein Obama never changed her reply that she was indeed present when Senator Barack Obama was born in Kenya," McRae swore in his affidavit

McRae affirmed that Obama's step-grandmother had been asked the question several times and a discussion over the conference call with those present with her in her home in Kogello made clear that she understood the question.

WND also reported the office of Hawaii Republican Gov. Linda Lingle has officially declined a request made in writing by WND in Hawaii to obtain a copy of Obama's hospital-generated long-form original birth certificate.

If they did'nt really know how bad the economy is they could have watched fox news. And I actually believe the statement. Not too much intelligence lives in or hangs around the white house these days. And if you want info you don't watch alleged news channels with less ratings then congress and the senate. If Mlcnele was a good wife she'd cut the mans puppet strings.Block soros and all the socialists phone calls. And tell him to use the brains god gave him.Lefty Louie Oreilly likes him.Ask Bill what to do.

I really wish that Monica would give the full text or context of quotes that she pounces on.

"STEPHANOPOULOS: While we've been here, some pretty grim job numbers back at home -- 9.5 percent unemployment in June, the worst numbers in 26 years.

How do you explain that? Because when the president and you all were selling the stimulus package, you predicted at the beginning that, to get this package in place, unemployment will peak at about 8 percent. So, either you misread the economy, or the stimulus package is too slow and to small.

BIDEN: The truth is, we and everyone else misread the economy. The figures we worked off of in January were the consensus figures and most of the blue chip indexes out there."

If you are going to pounce on Biden, at least put his statement in a complete context. He was responding to a question that used the word "misread" and which was specifically about unemployment, and it doesn't sound like some kind of admission when you read the language before and after the quote Monica provides.

All I see there is Stephanopoulos giving them an opening for EVEN MORE Spendulus.

--> "So, either you misread the economy, or the stimulus package is too slow and to small."

What a bunch of corrupt CROOKS. Whores, all of them, whether elected or not.

Quotes from Palin this morning:

"I'm not going to take the comfortable path. I'm going to take the right path for the state," she said of her resignation, which she characterized as a matter of progressing in an unconventional way.

"That caught people off guard. ... It's out of the box and unconventional. That's what we are as Alaskans and certainly how I am as a public servant."

The outgoing Alaska governor told the Anchorage Daily News she stepped down because ethics complaints against her and her squabble with lawmakers would have paralyzed the 18 months she had left in office.

"With Sean in the governor's seat, it won't be the politics of personal destruction, I don't believe," Palin said.

"I can't predict the next fish run much less what's going to happen in a few years," she told the Daily News. "I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to keep working hard for Alaska."

What a crock. She hopes to earn between $10-20 million personal income on her book deal and speaking engagements. This is her best opportunity, while she is still popular. She is doing what is in "her", not Alaska's best interests. Which she has every right to do and it is a smart political move at this point since she has far less to lose than she does if she took the tough path and remained governor for 18 more months.

AS PALIN DRIVES LIBNIKS MASHUGAH

KRISTOL IN WAPO///////For psychological and sociological reasons too deep for me to grasp, a good chunk of elite America hates Sarah Palin and what they’ve decided she stands for. But if she wears their scorn as a badge of honor, comports herself with good cheer and personal dignity, studies up on national issues and takes the lead in selected debates on behalf of conservative principles against Obama administration policies, she has a shot.

If she’s as foolish, erratic and even nutty as her critics claim, then of course she’ll fail. If she performs well, she may succeed. If you have an anti-mainstream-media and anti-GOP-establishment bone in your body, it’s hard not to root for her at least a bit.

gringoman

SHE CAN OUT-RUN BAMBAM TOO

JULES CRITTENDEN////Kristol compares Palin favorably to Obama in ‘05 and Bush in the late ’90s. I’d just add, if she doesn’t have the adoration of the media, what does she have that Obama didn’t have back then? A successful governorship, national name recognition and a national base, and something Obama has yet to fully experience, a trip through the national wringer throughout which she held her own.

ANTI-PALIN LAMESTREAM SLIME CAUGHT AGAIN

# DSmith Says:
July 7th, 2009 at 10:51 am

“If you have an anti-mainstream-media and anti-GOP-establishment bone in your body, it’s hard not to root for her at least a bit.”

I don’t always agree with Mr. Kristol, but I’d say he’s bang on with this. I believe that there’s a substantial “None of the Above” vote for whom poking both the GOP leadership and the Punditry in the eye is a priority.

Every report I saw of her speech last Friday was edited with sufficient art that they all supported the notion that her decision was irrational. Reading a transcript showed that to be misleading. It was an honest, straightforward, logical response to the real world situation, which of course would disqualify her continued role in Federal politics in many peoples’ eyes.

She’s still on my short list.

Love seeing ya quote the Washington Post, and Palin's mouthpiece Kristol no less. The reasons she is disliked by many aren't that "deep". Most folks who don't like her see her as a self-promoting narcissist and liar. The "non-elite" were also not impressed with her campaign wardrobe spending binges. But hey, it's America, and I support her populist desire to go and make $20 million bucks on her book and speaking deals during these tough economic times. It's in Alaska's best interests, and in Palin's words: it's also "all about country."

When the Tennesse Fat Man says he has the science, hold on fast to your wallet. They're coming after your money with Cap and Tax and they won't rest until they shake America down for trillions. I don't think Nancy Reagan wants the job, though. Probably too old for it anyway.
