A Florida congressman who has proposed requiring candidates for the presidency to document their eligibility for the office under the "natural born citizen" requirements of the U.S. Constitution says it's not intended to affect President Obama's current term, but he wants to avoid similar issues in the future.

"The last election is over," Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., said on a radio interview. "I don't think that outcome is going to change. Personally, I think it's futile to go there, but looking toward the future I think it would be reckless if we do not do everything we could to eliminate problems like that in the future. And that's why I filed the bill."

WND reported just a day ago that the plan that was filed by Posey alone now has four cosponsors: Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.; Rep. John R. Carter, R-Texas, Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas and Rep. Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas.

(Perhaps she didn't bother to familiarize herself with all the facts before posting). btw, I agree with you regarding Honduras, but when it comes to latin america conservatives have backed right-wing thugs as frequently as the liberals have backed left-wing thugs.

American Exceptionalism? I think Dr Crowley intentionally misses the mark.
American Exceptionalism is the doctrine which holds that the rules of international behavior are standards that americans hold towards others but only selectively apply to america. Superpower status confers an EXCEPTION to america when it is expedient. It is a vestige of empire worshipped by hyper-nationalists, little understood by the me-tooism of the less educated and mis-explained by Dr C.

America can show itself "exceptional" by lending support and signing the petition calling on President Obama and the Congress to create an national holiday in honor of Michael Jackson. There are numerous petitions online, pick one.
There is even speculation that Michael Jackson like John Lennon before him was a neo-conservative; rare birds indeed: one spotted and photographed (according to Crowley) with Ronald Reagan. A holiday to honor the acheivements of a neo-conservative before the winged-nutted species is rendered extinct.

Why can't these media muck-mucks at least ask the right question? Back to the point. I was amazed that when they mention that Pentagon might start to "ease up" on Don't Ask, Don't Tell, i.e. if a "third party" outs a sodomist in the barracks, etc. I'm listening to some talk show where the dude is requesting callers to opine. So they opine. He opines. And not once does he raise the most obvious (to me) point---or at least an extremely significant point: Prosecuting the Third Party (who may have done the outing out of vendetta or something, maybe even just lying.)

In other words, if the rule is Don't ask, Don't Tell,' why didn't the host (or anybody else in media) even raise such a fundamental point? Instead, he does mental slobber. Aw, in such a case, sure, you ease up on the guy outed....He neglects totally to bring up issue of Third Party breaking the rules. He neglects totally the possibility of set-up scamming. E.g. Two dudes collaborate, agree that one will play 'Third Party" and out the other. That way the other can beat the system, strut proudly into the barracks shower, look at the other troopers, and dare anyone of them to "discriminate" against him and have their (virgin) butts hauled into a court martial for a 'hate crime' or violation of his 'civil rights' or whatever the legal traffic and ACLU lawyer will bear.

I'm not knocking our Monica. She usually handles interviews pretty incisively, though she's not doing that many and they're usually with friendlies.

There's another really big question nobody I hear is asking, or at least clarifying, re the new super majority the Dismals now have in the Senate and what the Obots are about to wreak as they and especially BamBam get their revenge on the USA. Maybe I'll get to it later
