Camile Paglia gets a head start on her "I Told You Sos"

Democrats are going to end up with a bad hangover for what the did to Governor Sarah Palin. A Hangover that will choke a donkey;) That last part was my coiorful critque.

Cara Mia,

May I suggest that an analagous "power play" is going on not only in the usual corridors of power, but even on your very own website. Surprised?

Yes indeedy. The Obamascam is alive and well even at MM, whether you have taken full note or not. The analogy may not be perfect (none are.) But the drive is on to do here what the scammers tried to do with Don Imus and have succeeded in doing with the Clintons: Use whatever means necessary, pc, speech codes, race cards, ACORN tactics, liberal racism, distortion, deception, up to and including hoax and fraud, to eliminate the competition (and in my opinion, to nullify the US Constitution.)

If you have little idea of what the faithful, i.e. your Monicaphiliacs, mean by this, the following may help.

===================================================
(Here is an extract from Camille Paglia via M/M)

As for the Democrats who sneered and howled that Palin was unprepared to be a vice-presidential nominee -- what navel-gazing hypocrisy! What protests were raised in the party or mainstream media when John Edwards, with vastly less political experience than Palin, got John Kerry's nod for veep four years ago? And Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas, for whom I lobbied to be Obama's pick and who was on everyone's short list for months, has a record indistinguishable from Palin's. Whatever knowledge deficit Palin has about the federal bureaucracy or international affairs (outside the normal purview of governors) will hopefully be remedied during the next eight years of the Obama presidencies."

M/M.

Excellent! Thanx for posting that. We know that Paglia is an outstanding writer and intellectual. She is also unusually honest and frank for a Democrat. No wonder she gets slimed here by the "friend" who Michael Avari keeps inflicting on us, the anonymous black race-baiter'Gilbert Washington,' who even slimed my Vietnam combat friend yet again, yesterday, on Veteran's Day! (Incidentally, we---certainly Ummah too---now charge this GW troll to Michael Avari's account, 90%. Michael's anonymous shyster,GW, is just being what he is---a psychopathic slimeball artist who specializes in race-baiting to try to shut down free discussion he doesn't like---an old hack trick from the Left. Michael Avari, a self-described "conservative" should know better but obviously does not or does not care or else is just too cowardly or guilt-ridden to confront a "minority." Michael has shown us what he means by "civility." The odor is not good. They can reference Gentleman's Quarterly all they like, and imagine that neutralizes the odor. Which makes us wonder what MA really is, aside from a tax guy who reads William Buckley in a cloister. He knows something about finance, just as his virulent "friend" knows something about legal statutes. But what do you have when you scrape away this outer crust where they can be "civil" to each other and smirk together? What is there besides a race-baiting psychopath who skulks here to do ad hominem attacks, and a so-called educated "conservative" who goes craven and pretends not to see because the psychopath is a "minority"?

ps What does Paglia say about Obama's birth certificate? Being from Philly, she probably knows liberal Democrat Attorney Phillip Berg, who has been leading the charge against what he calls Obama's fraud on the US Constitution. Which is why you see Michael Avari's "friend" now beginning to slime Berg too. Have you noticed? (Thanks, Michael.)

Michael Avari

Gringoman,

I have given careful consideration to the incentives you enumerated to leave this site and invite Gilbert, Fred, and others with me. As much as I believe our discussion would be much more civil and productive elsewhere, they being Liberal, I a Conservative, I regret to advise that your offer is denied.

As I have been absent from these pages for the last day or so, I noticed Gilbert's and Fred's contributions has actually increased in number. I can only conclude that they are far more attracted to you than to me, albeit perhaps not for the same reasons.

Further, I found a much more appealing incentive to stay here than the ones you offered to leave: to assure that neither you nor UG are construed to represent Conservatism by unsuspecting readers making sincere inquiry herein.

But therein lies your incentive: when you two learn to be honest brokers of the intellectual foundations and principles of Conservatism, I might consider my work done. They way I see it, though, I think life time employment in that endeavor may be my fate.

Regards,

PS - On a serious note, and just so new Liberals or those curious not think all Conservatives are angry white folk, to paraphrase Justokman a few days ago on this blog, know that I condemn your constant racist remarks against Gilbert.

Some good news:

Obama to Fill Transition Team Using New Ethics Code (WSJ)

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122641716699217493.html

The net:

"Mr. Obama's emphasis during his campaign on government ethics now is being adopted as policy. Under the rules, practicing lobbyists will be barred from participating in transition activities, and those who had been a lobbyist in the past 12 months will be barred from joining the administration to work on issues they handled as lobbyists. Transition participants will be barred from lobbying the White House for a year; the length of the ban will be doubled for officials who join the Obama administration, Mr. Podesta said."

Liberal or Conservative, we have to applaud this.

Michael --

Your last post reminds me of a joke:

Breaking news:

Treasury Not Planning to Buy Bad Loans, Assets (WSJ)

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122650321703420903.html?mod=article-outset-box

"Secretary Henry Paulson said the Treasury has put a plan to purchase illiquid mortgage-related assets on hold.

"... Barney Frank (D., Mass.) said 'We have a need to use that funding' for that purpose.

"... [said Paulson this morning] 'Our assessment at this time is that this is not the most effective way to use TARP funds, ...'

Treasury's new plan is to inject capital directly into banks and require them to raise additional capital on the private market.

At least one can say that Paulson got it, although late and only some of it; Frank still doesn't get it, and probably never will; and taxpayers are left wondering what is this all about.

Michael Avari

Good argument why Obama should support free trade now:

Obama's Lame Duck Opportunity

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122645083164919237.html

Summary:

"... Mr. Obama should pick up the phone, call Speaker Pelosi and tell her that he wants all of the FTAs brought to the floor during the lame duck. Republicans would surely help them pass. U.S. business and the rest of the world would applaud, and Mr. Obama would take a difficult political issue off the table before his inauguration. President Bush could do the heavy lifting."

Actually that was me and not Gringoman. But I am pretty certain he seconds the emotion.

Your statement that it is us who make things interesting for the libs here, that's bunk. Gillie was pretty much gone and you had to lift your arms in Rapunzel fashion and let your hair down for him to climb up on.

As for the "angry white folk" BS, is it that everyone else is allowed to be angry and when we get screwed we're expected to stand by in "civility"?

We have every tright to be angry about a of of things, and if we happen to be white then so be it.

A lot of us are angry about libs and the MSM choosing our candidate for us, a candidate who then refused to mount a real campaign. We are angry about the treatment of sarah Palin and that's just the start.

So let's drop the racist invective about "angry white people".

that in itself is racist, which a certain M.AveriCK is way to sophisticated to notice.

I wonder if his pinky is spread as he drinks his sake.

Michael Avari

Fred,

Thanks ... good joke.

We can either sulk and throw rocks at Obama's every move, or we can admit he beat us fair and square and that our defeat -- if we are wise -- presents an opportunity for cleansing and renewal.

Only the latter allows us to identify areas where we can help the new President for the good and glory of the United States. Only the latter affords opportunity for objective debate that will make us stronger.

Cheers,

Ummahgummah

Advice to Kermit the Fred: stay out of this one.

Even the lawyer gillie would have to agree that one must prove one's charges, especally when they are - for libs - of such a serious nature.

Thank you, Michael. Now it's clear that you condemn without bothering to cite what you condemn.

Maybe you can enlighten us on what makes your cheap cop-out "conservative" instead of low-class race-baiting. Do try. Otherwise some might get the idea that you are a hypocrite of the cowardly persuasion.

The GW who you shamelessly patronize has spewed hundreds of ad hominems on this site. No one here has failed to notice. Only a complacent liar could deny it. He has done this right under your "civil" nose. Anyone with high school reading skills knows that for the most part, I do not even engage him. Your remarks are therefore stupid and disingenuous on the face of it. His ad hominems are abject and unfounded since the target of them, often myself, does not generally engage your friend's hominem. Did you ever take Basic Logic, Michael, besides the Finance? We are not talking astrophysics here.

Michael, is this the real you beneath the wrapper--- an educated liar and a craven sophisticate, with a soft spot for Ludwig van Mises? The latter seems to appeal to you in large part because in bloodless Finance it demonstrates the frankness and integrity you fear in real life, especially in the arena of white guilt syndrome, with which your friend plays you like an old piano.(Of course he gets away with it because you want to be played, don't you? That's part of the bargain, isn't it? It's even subtly flattering, no?)

Now let's snap out of it for a moment. Pretending that a slimeball artist "friend" is not a slimeball isn't working anymore, Michael. The "I Am the Gentleman" game is now far too transparent. His every sliming word that insults Monica's site is now yours too, even as you choose to avert your Ivy League eye or hold your Ivy League nose.

We used to expect better from a "gentleman," Michael.

We now put 90% of the blame for this anonymous GW stalker on you. You should understand, as you blamed the feckless Republicans 90% for the Democrats sub-prime mortgage crimes.

Do the math, Michael, while the old keys, badly in need of re-tuning, get tinkled.

Michael sharpens his partisanship claiming WSJ has uncovered a plot:

"Democrats Plot Detroit Rescue (WSJ)

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122643423580318185.html

'Plot' is a good word. There is nothing in the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) that permits funding for any industry other than financial. The law would have to be amended or new legislation passed. That means more taxpayer funds committed to helping companies..."

In partisanworld only DEMS 'plot' while conservatives plan.
Last I saw, despite the obvious interest by DEMs in preserving blue-collar work, Bush has agreed and Paulsen will enable the 'plot'.
The quid-pro-quo is free trade for Colombia, but surely conservatives are most interested in keeping their deals.
Here the intersection of ideology and pragmatism meet.
A GM failure will send a shockwave of unemployment throughout the economy as ancillary businnesses to the auto inductry will add an estimated 2.5 million more unemployed sending national unemployment to over 10% and worsening the recession.
That is a steep price for conservatism and a steeper price for the middle class. Conservatives have shown that they will shower largess to well-heeled friends and need so let's not forget the middle-class bedrock of america either.
Buy time. Restructure. Bail.

The 'plot' thickens. Bush has already signed on and conservatives at the WSJ need someone to blame.

Liberal or Conservative, we have to applaud this.

Yes. But do we have to applaud MA who applauds his slimer friend the anonymous GW who has begun the sliming
of lifelong liberal Democrat Attorney Phillip Berg, former Deputy Attorney General of PA?

Or did William Buckley allow for this in extenuating circumstances? Is there an apocryphal manuscript, GOD AND SLIMEBALL AT YALE?

Michael Avari

UG,

The bit about you and Gringoman attracting Liberals here was a joke, much like the Lamborghini was a metaphor for the economy. To suggest that I have 'control' over them is insulting to them -- they are intelligent and can think for themselves, and Fred was here before me anyway, and offensive to me -- it is instructive to note that as Conservatives don't wish to be governed more than necessary, we do not aspire to lord it over anyone else either.

As I mentioned in my last post which I entered before reading yours, anger is a feeling you chose. Whatever the conditions of the last election, Obama figured out how to work it to his advantage and he won fairly. I choose not to empower MSM or anyone to guide this country. Republicans won the majority of Presidential elections since Truman in spite of MSM. They held Congress during six years of the Bush administration. They blew it. It is against them that your anger should be directed. And Palin is being treated atrociously by McCain's own people, with nary a word from him in defense!

But Gringo's anger transcends all that. Read his continual barrage against Gilbert, especially his last post, and you should see why I finally got my back up. That's enough.

If we continue this kind of dialog amoung ourselves rather than addressing real problems that arrest our country, you may have pretext to be angry for a long time.

We have work to do. The enemy is not us. It is not Liberals either. It is ignorance.

Less than two years until the next election ...

Peace,

Michael Avari

Here you go Gringo ... you need EVERYTHING spelled out? Or is it obstinancy? Or something else?

- GW troll
- shyster GW
- psychopathic slimeball artist
- "minority" [in quotes]
- anonymous black race-baiter 'Gilbert Washington'
- race-baiting psychopath

Question for you: even if Gilbert were as bad as you say, a) does ANYONE merit that kind of treatment? -- that is not a political question; but the next one is, b) do you think you are a good ambassador and honorable advocate for Conservatism by this kind of language?

(I am signing off for a few hours, but happy to rejoin the debate later this afternoon or evening.)

GilbertWashington

Gringo-nam, Michael was being exceedingly generous:

"You should understand, as you blamed the feckless Republicans 90% for the Democrats sub-prime mortgage crimes.

Do the math, Michael, while the old keys, badly in need of re-tuning, get tinkled."

The actual consensus among those in the know is 95 republican blame.

Actually you reveal yourself well here. This is the second time you have gone rabid simply because an economist has passed judgement against the party in power for the economic meltdown and you see it as a treasonous act. No matter what the facts are they cannot be acknowledged if they controvert your ideology.
But I digress. The issues of conservatism is of little interest to you. Here as on Debbie Schussel, or Sean Hannity, or American Daughter, it is always about race. 'Mulattos' 'niggas' 'half-white' 'half-black' 'crooks''spades' and etc.
It IS the point. The reason for your blogging.
I will begin posting more of these previous colloques(and the reaction to them) juxtaposed with more contemporaneous remarks you have made here.

You call it slime. It is. Yours. You call it stalking. I call it research. The purpose for which people place their amanuensis at the bottom of their messege is to identify the speaker with the words.

Dont't want to see it. Then renounce it or leave.

re our authority on "civility", MA:

A "gentleman," encouraging an aggressive (likely psychopath) race-baiting ad hominem throw-back.

A "devotee of the Constitution," now willing to see it cheerily nullified by a POTUS who almost certainly had foreign or dual citizenship.

Ummah, do you feel a sense of Illusions Perdues? Where is Honore de Balzac when we need him?

But wait. You went through that sad disillusionment a while back, well before I did.

Michael Avari

Gilbert,

Re. your response on the auto industry, 'save the employees' is the classic Liberal argument, especially when unions are involved, and I understand it. We have to be sensitive to workers, but not at the cost of using taxpayer dollars to support losing companies.

A better investment might be to give each of GM's 250,000 employees $100,000 and say "retrain, relocate, or start a business". The total would be 'only' $25 B, a drop in the bucket compared to what a full bailout might cost. Chances are some of them might pool their payouts and build the next GM. This is only an extreme example to illustrate a concept.

PAGLIA AND THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE

gringoNOTE: We have long admired Democratic lesbian Camille Paglia as a writer and intellectual,( and fellow Philly-ite) despite some disagreements (eg. Madonna). Here is an extract from her latest essay. She admires Obama, BUT....The 'BUT' touches exactly on areas raised right here by gringoVision. Paglia even uses one of our words, "stonewalling.' Conclusion: the local Obamanite stalker and slime artist should think twice before sliming Camille Paglia. There will be no "Father Michael Avari" to intervene for him with Camille who suffers no fools---and very pointedly Ivy League fools....Here is the extract.....(Thanks again to Ree and M/M for bringing the latest Paglia to our attention)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Obama's ability to stay on his feet and outrun the most menacing waves that threaten to engulf him seems to embody the breezy, sunny spirit of the American surfer.

In the closing weeks of the election, however, I became increasingly disturbed by the mainstream media's avoidance of forthright dealing with several controversies that had been dogging Obama -- even as every flimsy rumor about Sarah Palin was being trumpeted as if it were engraved in stone on Mount Sinai. For example, I had thought for many months that the flap over Obama's birth certificate was a tempest in a teapot. But simple questions about the certificate were never resolved to my satisfaction. Thanks to their own blathering, fanatical overkill, of course, the right-wing challenges to the birth certificate never gained traction.

But Obama could have ended the entire matter months ago by publicly requesting Hawaii to issue a fresh, long-form, stamped certificate and inviting a few high-profile reporters in to examine the document and photograph it. (The campaign did make the "short-form" certificate available to Factcheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.) And why has Obama not made his university records or thesis work widely available? The passivity of the press toward Bush administration propaganda about weapons of mass destruction led the nation into the costly blunder of the Iraq war. We don't need another presidency that finds it all too easy to rely on evasion or stonewalling. I deeply admire Obama, but as a voter I don't like feeling gamed or played.

Here is what your devious clown always does: instead of standing up like the man he wants to be, and dealing with issues on the site where he stalks (to your satisfaction but hardly anyone else's) he immediately does what the malicious do: he goes archive hunting for "quotes" he can use for his distortions. You will not tell your charge to deal with what you can verify, i.e. this site. You are disingenuous, clearly bordering on dishonesty and one has to question your own good faith. I could not begin to answer all this slimeball's distortions. You are never going to verify yourself, yet you continue to patronize him.

Once again, Michael: Give us the mea non culpa you and now your clown wants. Be man enough to specify. Stop ducking, Michael. You're looking ridiculous. Be man enough to clarify if you want the exact same mea non culpa from him, or do you want your clown free of it?

By the way, your Obamanite bud forgot to demean a whole slew of lawyers, including Bill Cunningham who interviewed Phillip Berg Sunday night on ABC radio. Your trashing bud also forgot the brilliant Democrat Camille Paglia who now announces that she likes Obama but is troubled by his "stonewalling."

Help him, Michael. You know how. Ummah is busy at the moment.

I am also surprised that the moderators in the name of free speech will not condemn racism.

Michael,

Does your race-baiting psychopath not have any sense of irony?

Anyone who wants to stop Obama's amnesty plans for the millions of illegal aliens swarming across this country pay attention:

Donate as much money as you can to the candidicy of Walter Moore for Mayor of Los Angeles.

Antonio Villaraigosa, the current Mayor of Los Angeles, was among those standing behind Obama Friday during his economic press conference.

Villaraigosa is one of the most pro-illegal invasionist in this country. His sanctuary city policies have resulted in Los Angeles becoming a cesspool of gangs, graffitti and violence. You should not have to press one for English when you call the Mayor's office in the United States of America.

As Mayor of the second largest city in the United States, he's also a very high visibility politician.

A defeat of Villaraigosa in this coming March mayoral election will send a very strong signal to Washington DC, House Representatives, Senators and Barack Obama that amnesty for illegal aliens is opposed by American citizens and will come at the ultimate price...their being kicked out of office.

Donate as much money as you can to the candidicy of Walter Moore for Mayor of Los Angeles.

Ree,

If it will choke a donkey, I wonder what it would do to the anonymous GW, obssessed Race Policeman who skulks here and issues threats and demands while Michael grins proudly. He has slimed Sarah Palin too.

Will his "Father Michael Avari" Civility Expert, come to his assistance in extremis?

It is an existential question for this blog. Clean up.
