What Race Card?

In an interview with USA Today, Hillary Clinton said this: "I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on." She then cited an Associated Press article that said "how Senator Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and how whites in both states who had not completed college were supporting me." And then: "There's a pattern emerging here."

Did you catch all that? "Hard-working Americans." "White Americans." "A pattern." Meaning: "I've got the white vote, which won't go for the black guy in November, so y'all better line up with me if you know what's good for you."

It's only a matter of minutes before she delivers a Bill-like "gaslighting" projection : "They're playing the race card on me."

This election is becoming too much about race.

Obama has the black, the young, and the liberal.

The more moderate Democrat supports Clinton.

The winning ticket? Obama/Clinton.

Otherwise, after Obama gets the nomination, I can't see him beating McCain. In the end, experience will defeat excitement and enthusiasm.

Hillary is not holding out stubbornly in hope that the super-delegates will steal the election from Obama and put her over. She is a realist. She knows the division and turmoil that would cause. By hanging on, she is accumulating enough negotiating power so that she can make the Democratic power brokers, (including Obama), an offer they can’t refuse. Like Carl Bernstein recently proposed, she is setting the stage to become VP.
Barack Obama is the man. He has learned well through his work as a community organizer in Chicago, his tenure in the Illinois State Legislature and his few years in the U.S. Senate that unless you hold the reigns of power directly, no matter how motivated, intelligent or knowledgeable you may be or how many laudable goals you may have, your accomplishments will be at best minimal and at worst nil, unless you choose to operate like a Ted Kennedy and spend your entire career fighting for piecemeal victories, or become a lone voice in the wilderness with a copy of the Constitution in your pocket, like Robert Byrd and ultimately become a character or caricature, (no matter how much they pretend to respect him).
Barack realized those pitfalls early on and since then he has consciously and consistently worked toward accumulating the power necessary to achieve his goals.
He is now on the verge of attaining that power. He is ready for it and he knows how to handle it.
Things will change the moment he takes office. The new face of America in International diplomacy will be black, and, (warranted or not), he will gain instant respect from millions of people of color throughout the world. The stage will be set, not only to make important changes here at home, but he will also have the opportunity to become a prime mover on the international stage and I believe he will take full advantage of that opportunity. He will be in a position to teach the world the truth about America’s true values and achievements. He will be wise and frugal, but not stingy, with America's might and money and he will not hesitate to offer his strength, wisdom and hope to a world that desperately needs it.

At home, I believe that he will wield power in a like manner to Franklin D. Roosevelt, who’s every smile, frown and puff of his cigarette was measured. When a man entered his office, Roosevelt knew precisely what he wanted from him, what he expected of him, and what to give or not give him. Everything was measured, depending on the situation. I believe that Barack Obama is much like Roosevelt in that respect.
On the other hand, Hillary would be perfect as Vice President. She is a tireless workhorse and task master and President Obama would likely give her a lot of the busy work related to healthcare and other essential and practical matters.
During this campaign the similarities and differences between the two have become clear.
Both are dedicated to real peace, prosperity, fair trade, and eliminating poverty and disease. Both understand and are not naive about the threat of world terrorism and know where the trouble spots are. And both have incredible energy, dedication and perseverance.
Their differences?
Virtually everything Obama does is deliberate and designed for a purpose, whereas Hillary has more of a scatter-shot mentality. She sends up boxes full of rockets hoping one or two of them will hit something or someone, (not the required modus-operandi for a President). Under the direction of a goal oriented individual like Obama, she could accomplish a lot for America.
The other advantage to this coupling is, of course, the dream ticket scenario. Neither of them can ignore the potential of that. He brings in virtually all the blacks, the under thirty contingent, and the (nauseous) suburban liberals. She brings in a good portion of white blue collar workers, the over sixty generation, Hispanics and women.
The racists, dedicated gun enthusiasts, pro-war types, fanatical anti abortionists and immigration die-hards will go to McCain where they belong and would go anyway, no matter who the Democrats ran. Combined, they consist of no more than twenty to twenty five percent of the voting public. The forty to sixty age group is probably 60/40 Republican.
This means one thing—a landslide like we have never seen before.

I’ll bet my house, my wife and my dog.
Any takers?

Jack, my man, where have you been?

I am willing to take that bet because I think either McCain will win, or an Obama/Clinton ticket could win but not in a landslide . . . more of a blue state/red state split, with it coming down to a few swing states.

So tell me now: What kind of dog do you have, and is your wife hot?

BULLETIN ON RACE: The Race fpr McCain's Republican VP running mate.

Anyone listening to Monica on ABC radio last Saturday can guess what's coming. Those who did quality listening will know what's coming...........

Eyes and ears are now on what, or who, Johhny Boy will select. This matters. Even ABC Radio's Mark "The Great One" Levin has announced that he will NOT vote for McCain UNLESS JM selects the "right" VP.

Many now think McCain will select a nice, smiley, young, somewhat "conservative" type for, well, "balance." In other words, another safe, ordinary loaf of white bread who will excite mainly his mother.

The problem with the attractive (to many) Mitt Romney is the McCain disdain, and latent Mormophobia.

How then to bring the Republican ticket to a real simulacrum of real life?

Listen up.

MONICA CROWLEY has tossed her (invisible)hat in the ring. Yes she has.

Our Monica announced over the air her availablity.

Her announcement forced GAB (Gringo Advisory Board) into emergency session.

GAB has concluded:

We are very interested. However, we cannot yet endorse Monica Crowley. We need to do further vetting. (To be elaborated.)

That said, we unhesitatingly and immediately will support Don Imus supporting Monica Crowley for VP.

Media icon Don Imus is positioned perfectly to lend an iconic hand. He is friends with Monica and chummy with Johnny McCain. He gives air to both.

In the event that Don is a little slow on the uptake, his lovely wife Deirdre may intervene.

Summary from GAB:

Cara Mia, you go, girl!

Escaping Politically Correct

Still is Monica aware, because of domestic unrest, the possibility that the governorship in California might be vacated?

Freddo,
I can feel the ground swelling and my instincts are seeing masses of blue, so I must go with my gut on this one.

I have been right here at the computer, but am in the midst of writing a book about a B-17 crew that flew out of Foggia Italy in '44 and '45. My brother was their Pilot and I am collaborating with the last surviving crew member to tell their incredible story. A book is an all engaging process that only leaves time for one hobby and I'm afraid Monica loses to softball. So for the next eight months or so I won't be making too many contributions.
To answer your second question, yes, the dog is hot and like one woman on here, (who out of politeness shall remain unnamed), small and vicious. My wife is also hot, although at this juncture she is too much of a Hillary die hard to consider herself part of the bet, but I'm working on her. I guess you're not interested in the house huh?
Keep up the good fight.
J

I see Gringoman is still undecipherable.

Yeah, and Fred Thompson might have been the candidate with the best chance to win, or maybe Mitt Romney, but John McCain got the nominations.

Oh well, Operation Chaos is at work, to good effect, as long as girlfriend is still in the race. Nobody else will criticize Obama...not the press, and certainly not the latest Republican wimp candidate. They have forgotten what wins them elections. We may need four years of a Marxist President in order to get the Republican Party to wake from its slumber.

Jack --

With apologies, I will take your house, as well, with pleasure, especially with the dog and the hot wife. Of course, I asked what kind of dog it was, not if it was hot, and I'm alarmed at that part of the response.

Obama/Clinton is the ticket.

This has been discussed but, Is not the fact that Barack uses a muslim name, a consideration in the future election? It is not only Wright and the Trinity church, but also other muslim blacks like Kwame Raoul, who took Obama's place, who is also a member of what some might call this same madrasah. These were militant Blacks largely rejected anywhere but Chicago, who are now establishment. True, they are not John Muhammad.

BUT they are not Judeo-Christian, they are members of a church that does not recognize the division between church and state, they have identified themselves as a counter-American culture, they share a religious tradition with a similar group that is at war with the US. Do we want them to head our government? Is that not quite a large and possibly trepidacious step? IS that not like rejecting FDR in WW2, and voting in Japanese/Americans who say they dislike the US? Did we make a mistake back then? Did not FDR put them in detention instead ?

Is it like asking a lot of irrelevant questions? Is it? Is it?

Hillary has succeeded in dividing the Democratic Party 9 ways to Sunday. That's her schtick. The more she divides the country the better chance she has of winning since the majority of Americans can't stand her. All she wants to do is promise enough Government handouts to just enough people to get elected. That's what they do. Slick Willey got elected in 1992 with 43 percent of the vote.

Steveok --

That's a tired old line. In 2000, W.'s opponent got more votes than he did.

You can blame Perot for 1992, not Clinton.

The Democrats must make an effort to unite now under an Obama/Clinton banner.

IS Barack through his speeches, giving us the Farrakhan violin treatment? This is an important question to ask yourself.

I was surprised to find out that John Muhammad did provide security for Farrakhan at the Million Man March, a few year earlier. People like JM might have been involved in the Anthrax scares, possibly to incite a national panic. This is brother supporting brother. This is like J. Wright saying that the attacks on 9/11 were condign, something with which JM agreed.

Truther --

What color is the sky in your world?

While the proggies dream their ObamaSlick dreams, watch the Rodham of Clinton do her thing: She carefully, adroitly, coached by Master Slick, takes Obama down in flames with her. One of them, though, is to rise from the flames, phoenix-like, for 2012. Guess which one?

Don't worry that the proggies will catch on. Leave them to their cluelessness. This is incomprehensible to most of them. They will stew in the hot pot of the Identity Politics they've been boiling for decades.

ps. Dick Morris, who knows the Clintons like he knows a fungus toe nail, will be on Hannity & Colmes tonight with, he says, "the secret that will give the election to John McCain." (This is regardless of whether Johnny Boy selects Monica for his running mate.)

In the end, experience will defeat excitement and enthusiasm.

In the end, racism will defeat willful ignorance and naivete.

Too many people are beginning to wake up, reliazing that the moslem senator from Illinois must be judged on the company he keeps.

It's not just ONE "rev" Wrong.. look who he is married to and the bitter resentment that oozes from her every pore.. talk about BITTER, Obama!

Then there's Ayers, the bomb thrower and Tony Rezko.

I wonder what else there is.

How can we NOT wonder what skeletons this guy has in his closet. He's also got the endorsement of EVERY moslem organization both foreign and domestic. He will have to repay that support and it will be done on our dime and over our backs.

He's come a long way from his electrifying speech at the Dhimmi convention in 2004. He's turning out to be slimmer, younger version of Al "Slim shady" sharpton in the end.

samo samo same-"O"

Jack Flynn I don't want your wife. Your dog probably looks better but you can keep him too.

Maybe you've been hitting the Jack a bit too hard, the Daniels I mean.

Gringoman.. I greatly appreciate you for your open and knowledgeable mind not only when it comes to islam.. the way you see through the liberals and spotlight their every weakness and there are many - is always a worth a chuckle or two.

But when it comes to Imus we must part ways.

Imus sold out to the devil in the form of al sharpton.

That was unforgivable. What prostrate cowardice!

For once Fred the K is right. Only a Clinton/Obama combo has a chance against mcLame.

Even though we have this horrible semi-lib candidate he has at least shown some patriotism via his military service.

Unfortunately the liberals have been brainwashing students by the millions and now these deluded fools are part of Obama's army against America.

The same dumb•ss students who get mugged by the "brothers" if they venture too far off campus.

Pity the fools..

Happy 60th birthday to Israel!

I just learned about an interesting organization: Physicians For Human Rights-Israel comprising some 1150 members and health care professionals who administer to anyone in need of attention within Israel and the occupied territories, irrespective of national status.

Bravo! May this be the pattern for peace.

God bless for the next 60 years and beyond.

Hey Ummah, (Charlie), Gumballs,
How are ya kid?
Still at it huh?
Still testing your boy muscles?
Teasing the unteasable?

Fruitless my friend, utterly fruitless.

LiEberals disgust me.

Like Savage sez: lieberalism is a mental disorder and there's no cure.

Oh my G-d.. savage is talking that McCain could be a Mandchurian Candidate too.. he's got a point.. a LOT can happen in five years of torture..

So we're going to have not one, but TWO Mandchurians running for office..

Savage is right.

Unlike some radio talk show hosts who are boring us to death with racial discussions, Savage was inspiring me with the true story of the Polish girl in World War II who escaped from one of the trains that would take her to a concentration camp.

After her brother died in her arms on the train, the Polish girl, determined to live, climbed through a window and threw herself out of speeding train. The Nazis shot her, but she persevered, leaving trails of blood in the snow.

She was rescued and nursed back to health by Christian Polish farmers. Rather than put them in danger, she left when she was strong enough and became a sniper for the Polish resistance. After the war, she moved to the Bronx and now lives in California.

Before you say that Savage made this up, there really was a Polish resistance. I don't know that much about it, but I did see a movie a few years ago about the Warsaw ghetto uprising.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24213454/

People called in after hearing the story, and talked about "how they loved America", and how GRATEFUL they were to be U.S. citizens.

Ummah,

Re Imus and his ignominious cave to Tawana Sharpton: As M/M would know, I've written up Imus for that, and more than once.

The comment you refer to was not about Imus. It was about our Monica's throwing her hat in the ring (on last Sat. broadcast) for Republican VP. She and McCain have a mutual friend: Imus. Imus still has the ability to do promotional wonders for anyone he likes, both the good and the others. Unlike FrK, I consider our Monica one of the good, don't you?

M/M,

I have bones to pick with McCain too. I also heard Savage worrying about McCain's "Chairman Mao" joke and whether it revealed a "Manchurian Candidate."

My reaction to Savage, who can be very funny himself: 'Dude, lighten up. Those who have been to war tend to have a dry sense of humor. Some civilians get it. Some do not. Like you, I guess.'

Incidentally, if you heard the soundtrack, the audience clearly got McCain's "Chairman Mao." Big laugh. Anybody in the Armed Forces would get it instantly.

Unfortunately, there are other things, real things to question him about.

PS. McCain was a POW of the Vietnamese, not the Chinese. Mao was Chinese. The Vietnamese have a history of enmity with China that goes back well over a thousand years.

The reason the so-called "white vote" won't go for Obama in the Fall is racism.

Pure and simple.

R A C I S M

But not the way the Fred K's of the world are spinning it.

NO. No way.

The R A C I S M i am talking about here is the racism we see coming from the people he is surrounded by.. the Rev. Wrongs and those who so enthusiastically cheer him along.. and Obama's own wife, Michelle, who is bursting at the seams with pent-up hostility and resentful belligerence. She is practically tweaking with rage. Just look at her face, a face that could have been beautiful were it not for the decades of distortion by constant BITTERNESS and anger it has had to suffer.. surely some of her venom must have found its way into the gentle heart of the junior Senator from Illinois.

Then there is William Ayers the mad bomber who wouldn't change a thing.. that William Ayers guy who should by all means still be in prison instead of holding a professorship where his drivel falls on fertile yet impressional and thus manipulable minds.

Those are the "young" and "educated" - I'd call it brainwashed instead - who are marching to the tune of that Pied Piper of InterNATIONAL SOCIALISM.

Michael Avari.. I KNOW you mean well but please consider that you are barreling headlong down the Road of Good Intentions.

And I am sure you know where that road leads to.

Gringoman,

I didn't hear Savage discuss McCain's "Chairman Mao" joke, but I have heard him refer to McCain as a "Manchurian Candidate" before. Here is the definition of a "Manchurian Candidate":

"The Manchurian Candidate is a 1959 thriller novel written by Richard Condon, adapted into films in 1962 and 2004. It is about the son of a prominent political family who has been brainwashed into becoming an unwilling assassin for the Communist Party. The novel has been banned in communist states "for political reasons" and was "condemned by the American Legion."[1]."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Manchurian_Candidate

This has nothing to do with McCain's sense of humor. (In fact, I didn't hear the joke.) It has to do with Hillary Clinton doing a better job relating to us than McCain. McCain seems like he is "one of them", not "one of us".

China seems to be buying everything in this country at bargain prices, how do we know they are not buying our Presidential candidates?

M/M.. the Chinese bought a piece of Clinton but the biggest parts of our "leaders" are still owned by the SOWdis.

Just look at the 'speaker fees" that Bill Clinton is getting in places like Dubai.. it sure looks like a payoff to me.

And the money for W's dad's P-library.. guess WHO is financing that one!

The Chinsese are no angels but in my analysis the most evil and pernicious enemy we have ever faced are the SOWDI BARBARIANS!

I've been following the money trail and I don't like any of the candidates. However, the Clintons are very entertaining.
