As we await the President's speech tonight, a thought on this week's congressional testimony by General David Petraeus, U.S. Commander in Iraq.

When the Democrats on Capitol Hill pose and posture on Iraq, when they beat up on Petraeus, when they ask him questions and then proceed to answer them themselves, when they do all of this, they are doing only one thing:

They are all avoiding responsibility for any of it. To wit:

Hillary Clinton's tap dance about Petraeus being a puppet for an administration with a "failed policy."

Barack Obama's tap dance that the Iraq hearings shouldn't have been held on September 11th.

Chris Dodd's tap dance that the General was engaged in delusional "happy talk."

Joe Biden's tap dance that Petraeus wasn't telling the truth.

Here is what each and every one of these sanctimonious boobs should be asked.  Senator Clinton/Obama/Biden/Dodd:  Are you, or are you not, willing to accept the consequences of a U.S. pullout?

That's what you say you want.  OK.  Are you prepared to accept responsibility for what comes next?  The General is telling you that a premature U.S. withdrawal will lead to an epic slaughter.  What are you going to do about that?  If that comes to pass because of YOUR policy, are you willing to take responsibility for it? 

You have spent years bashing the president for not having a post-war plan.  What is your post-WITHDRAWAL plan?

What do you do when the troops come home and there is catastrophe?  Are you willing to bear that responsibility?

Yes or no?  It's a simple question.  Is it not?

The first post above is not mine. That "Pete" is the Sociopath spammer whose real name is Jack Flynn. He once seemed like any other blogger, but over time it appears he has slowly lost his mind. We feel this might be a sort of delayed Alcoholic Toxicity reaction. I have heard this sometimes happens in Irish families with hardcore alcohol addiction/abuse over successive generations. The man needs help and it appears more serious than anything the local bloggers here can do to hold an intervention. We were hoping maybe you could step in, Monica. There has to be someone among all your poltical and celebrity contacts who can lend some assistance here. JACK FLYNN IS A VERY SICK MAN! He needs our love and understanding. But I wouldn't send anyone there to his home in Salem, MA without considerable protective wardrobe of the type Animal Control officers wear when approaching a rabid dog. I have personally witnessed him threaten to bite and sever the Achilles tendon of one of the posters on this site. This is the sign of a very extreme psychopathic condition that requires immediate attention. His violent state is surely something that must be attended to by the proper authorities before he hurts either himself or others.

Sorry I did not bring this up sooner, but I was doing some reading around the site earlier today and could not believe the things I've seen written by this man. He is truly way past borderline functional and must be inducted into intense psychotherapy ASAP. Thanks again.

If he had any guts Fred, he would have taken the opportunity to respond to my posts last night. For the present, all that can be done, is to counter and disclaim his posts any chance we get, as you did. It is a little like the green bug season in Ipswich Mass. Democrats and Republicans are giving the wrong reasons for pulling out of Iraq. It is not cutting and running. It is for self preservation that we should leave them to solve their own problems. We have pressing tasks that directly affect our long term survival that must be attended to here at home. We need the manpower and we need the billions upon billions of dollars that we are spending over there.
